Hi, Elliottdavies7,

There is nothing you can do to cause this to be put right automatically. For now, you'll need to restore the weapon manually. We've opened HB-777 ("AutoAngler2: Dual-wielding classes do not have their weapons restored") against this issue.

[EDIT 12-May-2014 by chinajade]: Just an update...HB-777 ("AutoAngler2: Dual-wielding classes do not have their weapons restored") has been marked as repaired. Here is the changelog note:
"Fixed an issue where both weapons for dual welding classes were not getting equipped when both weapons shard the same Id."​
The repair should be available in the next (post-.732) Honorbuddy drop.

Alas, it does not. Only the Questing bot and ProfessionBuddy bot allow for conditionals. You could probably use ProfessionBuddy to do what you desire. ProfessionBuddy is capable of switching bots (i.e., to AutoAngler2).

You might try removing these from the profile, and see if it starts working for you. (Keep the Hotspots and Hotspot intact from the <SubProfile> element. Discard everything else—including the SubProfile element itself.)

It seemed to be working fine. I was running this profile <http://www.thebuddyforum.com/honorbuddy-forum/honorbuddy-profiles/professions/autoangler/134893-autoangler-timeless-isle-jewel-danio.html>, was working, had looted 100 Jewel Danio, and then it just... stopped looting. It like, clicks it, but it doesn't actually LOOT it. I ran it with another profile <http://www.thebuddyforum.com/honorbuddy-forum/honorbuddy-profiles/farming/153030-fishing-sea-turtle-mount-farming-5.html> after turning of all plugins, shutting it down, restarting it, relogging in WoW. Worked again fine for the first cast or two this time, and then suddenly started doing the same thing. Once again, just refusing to actually LOOT the items, even after interacting with the bobber.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, first time using this.

Hi, Sevarance,

Last time we saw behavior like you describe, it was due to bugs in 'opening' plugins (like TidyBags). If you need assistance, we simply must see the full log attached that captures the problem.

Hello,
i got a little issue with my autoangeler.
I use The Autoangler within professionbuddy when i Click on start it says:

AutoAngler[2.118]: Warning: It took 8.8265048 seconds to pulse.
This can cause missed bites. To fix try disabling all plugins

When this message is coming up my Character is moving between random points.

I Already unchecked all my plugins and did a clean install of HB.

I FIxed the problem there where some profile problems and conflicting with the Autoangler

Hello :) Would like to make a request. If possible to renew the water walking buff at 1 minute before it ends for (path of frost, Shaman water walking). Not a big deal, but it will look more normal like this, instead of dropping into water in the midle of phishing and then wait some seconds before it will cast again and jump.

Excellent suggestion! We've opened feature request HB-856("AutoAngler2: Renew water walking buffs before it ends") against the issue.

Lots of new goodies are now on SVN.


  • Fixed an issue where bot could not get on water surface by jumping. Also added a plan B where if bot is not able to get on surface after x time then move to a new point. If all points are exhausted then pool is blacklisted.
  • The Minimum/Maximum pool distance is automatically computed based on the radius of pool.
  • Removed the Minimum/Maximum pool distance settings since they're no-longer used.
  • Bot will now fly to mailbox/vendors
  • Game objects (such as rafts) are now considered when looking for a landing spot at a pool.
  • re-written in coroutines.
  • Path of Frost and Surface Trot are now refreshed before they expire. Other water walking abilities were already being refreshed early
  • Fixed an issue with equipping fishing poles that are in a tackle box

I forgot about this change.


  • PathingType has been removed from settings and should be set by the profile. If profile doesn't specify a pathing type then circular pathing is used.

If the auto-update isn't working for you then try a clean AutoAngler install. See the 'How To Install from SVN' section on first post for instructions.

Would anyone with a fishing hat verify that it's being equipped, used and the original hat is equipped when bot is stopped.

Hi, Charlieblizzard,

It works fine, if you follow the instructions in the first post. If it is not showing up for you, you probably have some missing .NET packages required by Honorbuddy in general. If so, you will need to create a new thread in the Support forum about the issue. They will need your full log to help you with the problem.

We need two pieces of information:
  1. Does the profile work okay with just AutoAngler2 (not running via ProfessionBuddy),
  2. And... we need your full log the next time the issue happens for you.

Because less than a week ago I tryed autoangler to fish some pools, and it didn't use it. May be it's because fishing bait are useless for pool fishing dunno, or may be it doesn't work with the old one.

Hi, Fatold,

The repair was made on 1-Jun-2014. If you haven't tried it since then, please allow AutoAngler2 to auto-update via Subversion, and confirm the fix. None of us have the Weather-Beaten hat on our accounts such that we can confirm the repair internally.
