HB ARCHIVES: DungeonBuddy--DO NOT DELETE

Hey Guys,

i got a Question. I remember that DB once (long time ago) could select both available Specs for example Heal and DPS to find random Groups quicker. When it found a Group it just changed the active Spec and played the role that was needed.
Is this kind of Feature still available?
 
There seems to be a bug in Dungeonbuddy where it is unable to reset some dungeons. It will sucessfully complete the whole dungeon and run back to the portal after completion. But then it just stands in front of the portal and won't leave the dungeon and reset it. This always happens in some dungeons, f.e in Shadowfang Castle but most dungeons work fine.

If it will be fixed, an eta ? 4
 
Hi i would like to know if there is a way to get the tank in my 5man honorbuddy group to pull faster and more now that he has the gear for it.
 
Is there any way to run SoO on flex? I can't even find the .cs file for SoO so I can edit it!! WHere is it? It isn't under dungeon profiles
 
vortex pinnacle - grand vizier ertan - bot runs into storm clouds and just get face raped atleast in normal in less you have a on the ball healer - should just have him stand outside it
 
Is there any way for dungeenobuddy ti pickup quest and turn in ? With any script, any profile or anything, in that case could someone share? been searching for a long time, would be great to get gear at all my toons while 5maning it cheers:)

If you enable it in the DungeonBuddy settings, the quests will be picked up and turned in. All quests in all dungeons are not yet covered, but they're being worked on.

  • Mail BoE Items
  • Maximum Vendor Item Quality
  • Minimum Mail Item Quality

Will support for Mists of Panderia heroics drop as soon as WoD hits or will it continue support for a while after?

We're not certain at this point. DungeonBuddy currently supports:
  • 74 Dungeons (non-heroic)
  • 13 Raids
  • 21 Scenarios
The encounter dance and mechanics for heroic dungeons are frequently different than their non-heroic counterparts.

Also, DungeonBuddy 'scripts' are much harder to write than even quest profiles. This happens because each script requires corresponding C# code to instrument the 'dance' for each encounter based on the four roles (Tank, Ranged DPS, Melee DPS, Healer). In short, its a lot of very complex code to write and continue to maintain.

Whether or not Master Highvoltz will be crushed by the additional load remains to be seen, as he does a lot of development in areas other than DungeonBuddy. We'll just have to wait and see.

I just lost my 30 minute queue after Dungeonbuddy instantly left the LFR and I got a 30 minute deserter debuff:



Here's the timeline:

  • I manually queued up
  • After about 30 minutes the queue popped and I accepted
  • I launched HB, selected my routine and selected Dungeonbuddy
  • Dungeonbuddy was set to "Queue For Raids Not Completed" with Vale of Eternal Sorrows checked
  • I clicked Start
  • My toon ported into the instance
  • Dungeonbuddy immediately left the instance, even though it was a fresh run & I haven't killed any Vale of Eternal Sorrows bosses this week
  • I received the 30 minute dungeon deserter debuff :(
Possible solution idea: Instead of instantly leaving the instance, what about creating a user dialog that says something like "Instance considered complete. Leaving in 15 seconds. If you would like to complete this instance click 'Continue Profile'."

The problem you describe is HB-1015 ("Entering and leaving raids quickly, causing Deserter buff") and has yet to be resolved. I've attached all of your information to the bug report as an additional data point. This problem happens far too frequently, and I don't believe there's anything you can do to cause or abate it.

Bot stopping! Reason: You have completed all of the selected LFRs for this week keep getting that error everytime i try queue for lfr
idk if it might be my routine or the bot but when its walking sometime it takes one step then stops takes another and stops. like if u were to tap the arrow key very fast. also does this in any sort of AOE and takes a good amount of time to get out of the AOE dmg, but when it does its like right on the boarder of the aoe dmg so its not getting hit but cmon lol what person stands right on the edge of AOE dmg area haha. other then that its great
Anyone else haveing issues with DB raiding not sure about any other part of it but when it needs to repair sell items its selling my Buff food an noodle carts anychance to stop this from happing.

Possible to change something at the Gastrops (??) this snails that kills you instant in Forgotten Depth? Toon is still running around like a crazy chicken. No one in the Raid is doing some action like that.
Better let the Toon there and dont move, let him die, better run in or get ressed.
I <3 Dungeonbuddy, but I've been experiencing some odd behavior in SoO-Underhold. I'm running the latest release of HB (& Dungeonbuddy), but during Thok, my character runs around way too much, and during Spoils, it tried to go up and down the chain, as well as switch sides.
The changelog for Honorbuddy v2.5.11034.745 says "DungeonBuddy - Siege of Orgrimmar, The Underhold: Fixed an issue that caused running back and forth during the Thok the Bloodthirsty encounter. (HB-930)". I did a clean (re-)install of HB, but it persists. Has anyone else experienced this recently and have any suggestions or ideas?

It seems you forgot to attach your log. If you can get it to us, it should accellerate locating and repairing the problem.

In SoO the bot ran straight through the Iron Juggernaut wiping the group.

Im trying to farm the mount in Vortex Pinnacle but when the bot gets to the end of the dungeon it doesn't know how to exit the dungeon. It just stands there saying "You do not have a valid teleport location"

This sounds like a similar problem to HB-1012 ("Not exiting Shadowfang Keep, once completed.") which has not yet been resolved. If you would like the issue investigated, please attach the full log that captures your problem.

Three questions:

1. When it's running Downfall wing, bot gets stuck getting into the pipe to get down to siegecrafter and then again after the fight it doesn't take the pipe back up.
1A. pathway from siegecrafter gets him stuck in the crates and looks suspicious could we update the pathing?

2. After Paragons, is there a way to add the unkillable trash mobs to a list that will prevent the bot from attacking it over and over?

1 small question, i dont know if i read/understood correctly

In case 1 bot gets disconnected while i run a 5-man bot party, do i somehow enter in LFG to replace the bot with a real player?

No, the other bots should wait around for the disconnected bot to return. If the dropped party member was DPS, in many cases DungeonBuddy may proceed if it feels the dungeon can be safely cleared with a group of four. I.e., if you are over-level for the dungeon.

One thing I think would be an easy fix is to see if groups re que. This would be a very good way to increase dungeonbuddy and its leveling abilities - I was in a dungeon group that was grinding together from 30 to 60, I ran into them at 40 and again at 55 and they were all leveling faster than me. Just an idea, I don't think I need to post a log on this one.

The mechanics of this may be tricky. Since people are unpredictable:
  • Go off to sell/mail/repair after some dungeons,
  • Go craft for a bit
  • Sit in chat on a 'break' or go for coffee
The bot would have a difficult time determining if the delay was temporary, or a more permanent situation of friends that like to be grouped no matter what they're doing. Humans take care of this by conversation—the intents of which a bot could not possibly comprehend. It is also possible to get yourself identified as a 'bot' when you refuse to break group, and are not chatting with the other players.

In short, determining when to 'break group' is not a simple calculation to make. Nevertheless, we've opened feature request HB-1056 ("Don't break group, if the group requeues for dungeons") to see if some improvements might be possible.

What did you have in mind for the group-breaking heuristics?

Highvoltz gave the idea due consideration, but declined the feature request with the following response:
"I don't like the idea, here's why.

  1. No control of what is queued for unless leader.
  2. Only beneficial to DPS role and possibly a disadvantage to Healer/Tank roles because queuing solo potentially has more matchmaking results, unless whole group agrees to queue up which doesn't happen often in my experience.
  3. This might actually be the most important reason. The more time players spend together, the less of a stranger they become to each other, the more likely they'll try to socialize. Any attempts to socialize with the bot increases the risk of being discovered a bot. Maybe I'm just being paranoid here.

Because of these reasons I don't feel this would be a good addition to Dungeonbuddy so I'm going to decline this"

I apologize if this has been posted and answered. I did search but did not hit on anything.

Is it by design that Characters wont mine/herb or skin in DB?

Toons will harvest only when "Loot Mode" is set to "Always". Otherwise, they try to keep the bags unencumbered, and the group moving through the dungeon.
