HB ARCHIVES: ARelog--DO NOT DELETE

Hey,
This worked flawlesly when I ran Windows 7. Now I use win 8 and it's crashing right after starting wow. It's the same wow folder. Any ideas?
thanks in advance :)

Hello I have also been having the internet connection issue lately. I also have some suggestions that I think would work quite well.

1. Either a counter with how much time is left on current task(Preferred) Or time elapsed on current task.
2. What the current task is.
3. Option to Pause or stop without closing WoW/HB

When I try to run ARelog, it crashes after the WoW login screen appears (Error 132), but before HB has a chance to start. This is the only thing in the log file:

[11:45:47 AM:868] Starting ARelog v1.0.23.17
[11:46:14 AM:655] Starting Game
[11:46:14 AM:680] Waiting for Game to idle
[11:46:22 AM:736] [PID: 4764] Hooking EndScene and starting Lua
[11:46:37 AM:798] [PID: 4764] Restarting Game
I let it sit there for about 10 minutes and it never restarted the game.

Running WoW manually then running HB manually works fine. It attaches ok and runs the profile just like it should.

I am running Windows 8 Pro. Is ARelog not compatible with Windows 8 yet? Did Microsoft do something different with the way Windows are id'd or something that would be causing ARelog to not work properly, while HB attaches just fine?

I have already tried:

Compatibility mode: Windows XP (Service Pack 3)
Privilege level: [X] Run this program as an administrator

Thoughts? Fixes?

EDIT: Using HBRelog for now and it's working fine. Would like to go back to ARelog, though, but if no one can help me with this, looks like I'll be using HBRelog for now.

It's ARelog. HBRelog works fine, but it does not resize windows if you run TeamViewer (for remote monitoring). I'm using HBRelog until this is fixed, then I'm swapping back to ARelog so I can monitor my bots remotely from a laptop/iPhone.

@raphus Update planned soon™?

right click teamviewer icon in system tray and click Toggle QuickConnect Button. It is that button that makes ARelog fail at resizing windows

I was reffering to HBRelog not being able to resize windows due to TeamViewer, if Naelyn was to use it until ARelog is updated.

Status on an update that will fix ARelog from crashing WoW on start? Happens every time you hit Start in ARelog. Here's a copy of my post from a week ago that hasn't been answered:

Running with no problem on Windows XP 32bits
1 session with team viewer service (ver 6).

I've done that you should pulled everything in a folder when I try to start the exe file so it comes up a box that says "A referral was returned from the server " what am I doing wrong ?

Since you didnt use the search by yourself, I did it for you. See? There are already a few posts about, not even posting external Threads.

did you right click it, select properties, go to the compatibility tab, select ALWAyS start as admin.

Or did you right click it and clicked start as admin?

Yes, it makes a difference.
starting fail, ;/

Eine Referenzauswertung wurde vom Server zur?ckgesendet
A referral was returned from the server

Right click on ARelog.exe -> Properties -> Compatibility tab -> Enable "Run this program as an administrator" -> Ok
Als Administrator ausf?hren(haken machen)
Nope this wont work.

Read the red text of the second post, this will work.
Solution for "A referral was returned from the server." error on Vista/Win 7

Right click on ARelog.exe -> Properties -> Compatibility tab -> Enable "Run this program as an administrator" -> Ok

Now run ARelog.exe it will work without changing UAC settings
YOU ARE A GOD!!!!!!

After a fresh w7 install i lost my hope to get this work and now.. IT WORKS PERFECT!!

(for all those with referall error.. go properties and run with administrator.. (Not right click and admin))
i was having the referal error fixed itself after running as administrator
First Task:

BotName - BGBuddy
RunTime - 180

Second Task:

BotName - (Leave Empty or type Idle)
RunTime - 30

Right-click to ARelog.exe get in properties. In Compability tab tick Run as administrator. Click apply then ok.
Starting as admin may not be enough. As mentioned in 2nd post of this thread, right click to ARelog.exe -> Properties -> Compabilitity -> Tick Run as Administrator -> Apply -> OK.

Follow that and let me know the result
Right click the arelog.exe, click properties, select always start as admin.

Note: it is NOT the same as right clicking it and start as admin!
Get this as well

edit: Running it as admin via right-click didn't work, but enabling admin in properities did
For windows 7 Users after taking the latest updates.

Right click on the Arelog.exe, go to the compatability tab, Check the box that says, "Run this program in compatability mode for" and select Windows Xp Service Pack 3, Then same tab, where it says Privilage Level, select Administrator.

This should do it for you.
Even easier:

right click-properties-compatability tab-always run as admin.

No need for Win XP or anything.

But if people would actually read this Thread, no one would ask this question, because its answered already a hundred times...
Okay guy's this is what I've done too resolve the mysterious "a referral was returned on this server" error.

1. Right click ARelog
2. Click Properties
3. Navigate too the 'Compatability' tab
4. Under the 'Compatability' heading check the tix box 'Run this program in compatability mode for..' and in the drop down menu select 'Windows XP (Service Pack 3)'
5. Under the 'Privilege Level' heading check the tick box 'Run this program as an administrator'
6. Press 'Apply'
7. Run & Profit..

Let me know if this solves the issue you're all having, I'm running Windows 7 64bit.

EDIT - Woops i was reading posts 10 pages behind.. Seems this resolution has already been posted >.<
Habe auch die Meldung aber unter Windows7 64bit.

EDIT: Schon gefunden. Als Admin und kompatibel zu Winxp SP3 ausf?hren.
Read the red text in the second post of this thread.

Or read a few pOsts above you.
Did you do what has been quoted right over your post or did you right click it, pressed start as admin?

What os are you on btw?
Right click, properties, compatibility, always Start As Admin.

Or Read one of the hundreds posts already made about this issue.
Did you rightclick it and pressed run as admin or did you right click it, select properties, then compatibility , then always run as admin?

Yes is makes a difference...
Your wow is in 64bit or dx11 when you start it, this is why.

Do the things the guy above you did, they will help.

Read the Second post of this thread, aka the text in red.
Read the red text in the second post or one of the already billion times asked and explained in this thread.
For the people that still get the error even when they run it as admin. I learned that going into properties and checking run as admin was completely different then just right clicking run as admin. So try that before you say running as admin doesn't work.
For those with referral error: Rightclick the exe -> Properties -> Compatibility tab -> "Run as Admin". Then start the exe normally. This works

Plain Rightclick -> "run as admin" does *N*O*T* work!
make sure you are running it as administrator.

-------------------------------------------------------------

For some reason it wont enable plugins when i use Arelog ?
Read the red text of the second post, its there for a reason.

Me and my friends seem to get an error when starting the program. I have a quick fix, if you cant open it.

Right click -> Properties -> Compatibility -> Run as [Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2] - Run As Administrator(Checked) -> Now start the program and it should work :)!
Yes, there is even a guide in the guide section. It's easy to set up and maintain.

Read the red text of the second post.
@ floories: Read the FAQ!

Why is it so hard to read the instructions provided?
To all of the 3 above me.

Read the red text of the second post or one of the 100 posts on the last few pages, shouldn't be hard at all to read.
