Here are some issues I have noticed while running this. They may be fixable or just be ignored. Some of them might be related to Flightor.
The bot likes to mount up and simply ground mount its way to the next survey. For example the bot will set down and survey. A red indicator will come up, it will mount up, then walk to the next survey instead of flying. I understand if the indicator is yellow or green but it looks really stupid to walk 150 yards on a flying mount. Sometimes it wont even mount.
If a survey point is near a wall and the artifact is behind that wall then the bot will mount and walk all the way around or up the stairs or whatever to get to the other side. It should mount, fly up and over the wall, then set down on the artifact. This is very very botty and was noticed a while back by a passer by and I simply told them I was bored. The bot needs to detect if the path to the artifact or survey point is blocked and how long it would take to get there. If the walking distance is high then mount up and fly there instead.
If a survey point is on a hill (common for mineral nodes) and the bot cant reach the next survey or artifact point on foot it will simply hump the hill or keep laying down survey points in the same spot. At this point the bot needs to detect being stuck and try to get out of it by mounting up and flying or taking an alternate path.
In outlands the bot will fly across the twisting nether. In most cases this is ok but in some areas taking these shortcuts will mean getting stuck on an invisible wall in which the bot simply runs into it stupid forever. There must be a way for the bot to follow land instead of cutting across the open air.
I have noticed that when surveying the bot will take a slightly different direction than the indicator is showing. Usually enoph to make it have to throw down one or two extra surveys as it cant figure out where the artifact is.
If the artifact is near a lake...... good luck having it fly over the lake instead of swimming through the lake.
Mostly these issues sound like they are connected to flightor. However I know some of them can be tweaked in A Buddy.
