Have some bad news for you if you think HB is going to continue after 7.3

Look at old arena tournaments. They were never a good eSport for viewers, especially viewers who didn't know much about the game.
Compared to CS:GO, where it's a bit easier to follow and understand what's going on, even if you're brand new.

blizzard cant even push PvP games into the esports scene. Blizzard is still being owned by Activison, their "eSports" is just an adcampaign. Look at the jokes hearthstone / WoW / Hots tournaments are.

I'm not sure what your point is though? Regardless of the success of it, they're still pushing for it which is why all this is happening.

"We're going to start pushing PvE tournaments with cash rewards"
"We better stop people from cheating"

It's absolutely no different than preventing people from using aimbots. When cash prizes are on the line, they need to legitimise the competition and prevent cheating.

This exact same thing happened with League of Legends. You could script to your heart's content until LCS became a thing. Now they have developed some sort of server side protection that catches people frequently.

I'm really dumbfounded that so many people are choosing to overlook this.

But then who will do my world quests, blizzard better implement a backup plan for that.

So im assuming there are bits and pieces of truth to this claim.

I would tend to believe Raphus over any other "information" that comes out. But people, really, keep all of this in perspective. Its a game. Regardless of what happens I, personally, feel I have more then got my monies worth in entertainment and such. If it ends up that HB never releases another bot, then so be it. We move along. It isn't then end of the world.

More reason for people denying, to accept that nothing in its current form is safe.

All these programs that are currently updated are going to be wiped out the moment blizzard deem it necessary.

The ENTIRE reason HB is taking so long is because it doesn't want to cut corners at the expense of its users, like other programs have.

If you have used these programs you should stop using it until a real solution is developed or you'll be saying farewell to your account in the near future.
Did you just advised Raphus to not use other 3rd party bots for WoW?

This outlook is completely fine. People are acting like what I've said is implausible. All I've been saying is that from someone i respect quite a lot who works in the gaming industry has stated that the new security measures and the Mythic Dungeon Invitational are directly related. They aren't targeting anyone specifically. This is just an overall security increase because they don't want people using 3rd Party Software to gain an unfair advantage when money is on the line.

The problem with peoples logic in this thread is the fact they think because a handful of other programs are up and running, means they're safe. This is basically them saying that Raphus doesn't know what he's doing, which is a complete fallacy.

I'm really unsure how you came to that conclusion from what I said. HB has not been updated because it has not been deemed safe to do so. Raphus himself has implied that other programs are not safe right now.

Starcraft 2 is what jump started the esports scene... overwatch is also pretty massive... I have no idea what you're talking about.

i think it's good that HB aint ready, less botters in bg, i only use a bot that uses Cr anyways, it took them 3 days to solve the new system blizzard added and ive used it since 3 day after argus patch. guess that what happens when you make a bot public, get targeted Bossland :(

EDIT : Making a bot public is what made blizzard get Determined of catching botters and big bot devs, you kinda asked for harder times yourself being greedy letting everyone access the bot and infest Bg's\farmings

Again, it took them 3 days to update, they haven't solved the security issue, they just can't afford to be offline for a long period of time.

anyone with basic knowledge of how the thing works when it comes to anti-cheat,tripwire and Blizzard wouldn't ask something like that
so better do your research next time cause yeah, its really funny
actually i was talkin about ''None of the other bot providers did analyzes on the code. ''.

Im sure they did what they thought is enough for them, but most of these devs never stated that their tools are safe too.
It is perfectly clear to anyone, that Blizzard put weeks, maybe months of efforts to bring such level of increased security to the WOW client and that its not supposed to simply bypass in just 2-3 days the biggest security update on WoW in its whole 13 years long history.
