Guild Wars 2 Buddy bot

the truth is, that like with everything its best to learn from the decisions you make so you can make better ones in the future. we learned a lot from rift and from swtor both games where outside of our normal realm of WoW and we learned a lot from both. like i said before if there's enough demand and our core developers feel the game has enough potential to sustain a player base and that we could make a product to answer that demand then at that point we would. its not a yes, its not a no, just its not feasible for us to tell you anything at this time. because look, i came on here and said "YES we are making a bot for such and such" then people are going to start wanting dates, and its just going to snowball out from there for people who want a bot for a product that isnt even out to market yet. so again, its not yes, its not no, just its a possibility we are looking at.

GW is 8 years old and still has a vibrant community. A LOT of people who are burned on D3, and those who loved PvP in DaoC and other MMOs have been anxiously waiting for GW2. There are a lot of pre-orders and GW2 forums are blazing with activity. I am very much looking forward to the game and whatever BuddyTeam feels they can deliver. Thanks for all your hard work.

A soon to be released mmo's forum blazing with activity ? OH MY GOSH THIS IS GONNA BE THE WOW KILLER.

what does it matter if it is a wow killer. Fact is a shitload of people will play it for at least a month and that is a not too shabby market to get your bots sold.

i love GW2 :) hope we get a bot from the team :) i think, its the 1st game which will play a hugh amount of players and are not developed by Blizz... :)

gw2 is amazing; it makes wow look like a tired old hunk of shit (unless you are just a blizzard or subscription fanboy) and it makes swtor feel like a cage that locks you into dong what THEY want

it makes rift look like the hunk of crap rift is

that said the buddy team has enough on its plate

it would be very hard to handle; I think it would take years and years to write all the event profiles

The game doesn't have that it factor for me at all. Leveling is a slow even running around doing the dynamic shit you fall behind your main quest fast. WvWvW is interesting, but after a few hours it became very boring and its nothing new and a zerg fest most of the time anyway.

On the topic of a bot.

If you haven't played it you wouldn't know this, but you won't be botting 6 GW2 windows without a monster PC.

There is always a way around that i am sure you could do at least 4 on a normal pc

Sure with a 500$ video card. My 7850 with min settings uses 61% of the GPU. When I go max I don't get a fps loss but it goes up to 95% GPU load. So if you think you can bot 4 + you will need a 7970 or nvidia equivalent.

I wouldnt mind a bot for it just because the sole fact I am lazy and hate to farm, I didnt get to spend more than like 30 mins in the beta though lol... 2 weddings and a hangover my weekend was booked.

For lots of players GW2 is DAOC2. DAOC was/is the best pvp game ever made. With their scenario WvWvW they are coming very close to what DOAC used to be and game will be played and bought by lots of players.

I have 6 copies of DB and i know for sure i will buy 3-6 copies of "War Buddy" if it will be live and if my pc could handle the multi boting too.

Fingers crossed

I played DAoC on Midgard, Iseult server... Yes, it was awesome until wow came along and everyone jumped on the bandwagon :(

We've had a look and the game can be reversed but I don't see what demand there would be for a bot. What would a GW2 bot need to be able to farm?

Mats for Profession and Gold maybe Gems..Grindbot would be great. I think questbot is not realy needet..

Based on my experience with the betas so far and spending most of my time figuring out what profitable paths could be... it seems like doing low level areas with a high number of monster spawns would be best. There doesn't seem to be much of an increase in drop quality with higher level mobs, so its worth to just quickly AoE lots of little guys. I was making a good amount of gold doing this manually in the first real quest zone in the human area, in that bandit cave. People would spawn non stop and even with me being level 14 and being reduced to like 8 for auto-balance reasons (mobs are 3-5 in this area), I was pulling a good amount of copper, and a lot of farming mats (blood/linen) which sold for a good amount on the trading post. Reminds me of Arreat Core farming in D3.

I agree with this. The gathering spots (metal, herbs etc) do show up very far away on the map and I think the bot with some basic navigation (jump over hills etc) could easily just walk around mining for mats.

a grind bot would be useful, but the buddy team always seems to want to take things that extra 500 miles and fully script everything in the game :O

this is good and bad :O

I pledge myself as 'demand'

Even if I could force myself to finish the game, I really can't imagine wanting to play through again or keep playing end game. It looks pretty, but it's a bit boring, it's kinda like reading an average fantasy book with bland characters.
