I have considered getting into the gold-selling business after I have well-established farmers. But I haven't sold any gold while botting yet, I mostly use the bot for my own personal gain.

I stumbled across this post at Wow.com this morning.

it isnt a crime here in belgium... it's just a violation of the EULA.
 
Of course, unless you sell alot you won't be arrested, they won't waste their time if you gain a couple of hundred dollars.

This world is f****** up though, they probably aim to arrest gold sellers faster then murderes. :/
 
Gold selling may be a crime, even though the guy went and searched around for some old outdated law that probably doesn't have any significance to us here today. The thing is though, without someone who (A) Cares and (B) Feels compelled to act on it, we are safe.

To quote him..

In my opinion, we are safe. And I'm not going to stop farming/selling because of this :)

Somehow I have a feeling that this wouldnt even make it to court because us selling gold and someone violating myspace's ToUA are two entirely different ball games.

Well i could only wish in making plenty of gold to even be in the situation of selling it, laws? jail? who gives a crap, as long my bots are proper set up i could do with a week of holiday :)
 
Gold Selling is Dead man we dont need more people farming gold :) But yes It Really is dead though =[ They all only pay 1$ perk or 1.50 per k. 1 bot will get you 30k a week Average. Thats only 35-40 bucks...Not worth it imo.

The only criminal thing about gold selling is that you dont pay taxes for your profit :P

Over the past few years of glider and Now HB i have sold over several million gold and gained over $15,000+ and I live in the United States and I am still sitting here behind my computer doing the same thing over and over again. Dl'ing illegal music, Movies, and selling wow gold. Fuck Ole' Time Laws if they are going to come and arrest me then come and fucking do it. Until then I am going to keep doing what I do!!!

In germany too.

BUT!

If you earn more than ~7500? a year you have to pay taxes to the local tax office and you have to declare a small business.
So if you do not, you evade tax and THIS (yes only evad tax) brings you to prisson.

If you don't beleve me, take a look into the german code of law :-) I'm a retailer, so I know what I'm talking about^^
