Welcome to The Lawbringer, WoW.com's weekly tour of the intersection between law and the World of Warcraft. I'm a third-year law student acting as your crossing guard, trying desperately to avoid getting run over myself.

i dont know why this guy wasted all his money on education, as he does not even know where to start

As has been pointed out before, selling gold is a violation of the Terms of Use and End User License Agreement.

As has been pointed, many parts from the Blizzard EULA are against European laws.

interesting read but meh doubtful if it will hamper anyone here and what we do :)

In germany too.

BUT!

If you earn more than ~7500? a year you have to pay taxes to the local tax office and you have to declare a small business.
So if you do not, you evade tax and THIS (yes only evad tax) brings you to prisson.

If you don't beleve me, take a look into the german code of law :-) I'm a retailer, so I know what I'm talking about^^

Canada has similar laws. It's somewhere between 8-9k CAD that you have to start declaring and pay taxes.
