Gold find or Magic Find? For making the most $$$$ in RMAH....

Just wondering is it better to use gold find or magic find for making money on the AH? Seems prices are high for items but gold is worthless... think this will change once you can sell gold on the RMAH? Also what do you use the act 1 inferno profile? Can you get good items with good mf?

The problem is that you will find no really good items in Act 1, as the highest possible item level is 61.
I would suggest going for high GF, MS, PR og DPS, and buy items to put up on RMAH, if you do not have a char (not likely) that has the gear to farm in act 3 or 4.
I am am using the Sarkoth profile and making about 330k GPH.

Tell me why does it matter if the item is Rare, Legendary or Set?
They all will have almost same budget of stats anyway, the latter 2 will just cost stupidly more than the Rare ones in most cases.

Point is that if we're using specific legendaries or sets he's able to search for em - i think..

They can have any possible stats on them so having specific items named is pointless? Except for the items with possible Movement Speed like Hammer Jammers.

Don't worry, that was a COMPLETELY valid question, as anyone who farms (clearly that guy doesn't) would know you need Legendary+ items for MF

You can get a max of 25% movement speed. 12 from boots, and then another 13 from legendary items. When farming gold this is very important. After some testing the past couple of days I came to the conclusion that 5% movement speed is about equal to 35% gold find. Ofcourse these numbers aren't exact due servers lagging sometimes. Also when botting in the core of arreat getting to 40 pickup radius is very valuable too. Just be patient, farm some gold to invest in gear at first.

At the moment i'm playing a wizard with 319 gold find, 25 ms, and 41 pickup radius. Getting about 450-500gph with demonbuddy. Used some other bot aswell wich takes me to about 600gph, but with a much more likely chance to get banned. So i'll stick to demonbuddy and safety. In a few weeks demonbuddy will be the best bot out there anyways.

I buy only legendary and set items... and try to sell them...

Ohhh and someone said, ACT 1 inferno drops only 61 ilevel, that will change in 1.03 then theres 62 also....so I am equiping more and more MF

Well i'm sorry to hear that happens in your case mate. Keep in mind that the people buying RMAH auctions most of the time care more about the game then about the money. Currently the best items around don't have to be set or legendary items. You just need to know what people are after and what sort of stats they would be after. Aswell that if you invest some time refreshing those certain items you would want to resell, you get alot of bargains due other peoples stupidity.

Hey adonidas,

Getting that amount of GF requires quite some money and some patience searching items on the AH.
For movement speed I use 12% ms boots with 25% gf, Unity(ring) with 11% gf and 6% movement speed and finally hammer jammers (pants) with 7% movement speed (not entirely sure how much GF they have, not at home right now).

Besides that I was patient for other GF items, since I require them to have pickup radius aswell. Below i'll list what the maximum amount of GF is for that certain item, wich you can filter for at the AH:
- Helm, 25% gold find + socket. + pickup radius
- Amulet, 40% gold find. cant have pickup radius
- Shoulders, 25% gold find + pickup radius
- Gloves, 25% gold find + pickup radius
- Bracers, 25% gold find + pickup radius
- Ring, 20% gold find, cant have pickup radius, and unity cause of the movement speed
- Chest, 25% gold find + pickup radius
- Boots, 25% gold find + movement speed
- Legs, hammer jammers for the movement speed
- Offhand, 25% gold find shield. Yeah I use a shield as a wizard with +int on it instead of a source. Sources have a max of 20% gf.

Then gear your follower with 40% amulet and 20% rings. Enchantress can use the 25% gf 2h sword, templars can wear a 25% gf shield.

Keep in mind that I don't have the above stats all maxed out. Some have 22-24%. But I hope that gives a global view.
