I can do ACT 2 pretty mindlessly. Act 3 is a whole different beast.
Currently 19k dps, 40k hp, 1100 all res, 1200 armor, 22 block. (Barb)
I play the typical frenzy/overpower/revenge build.

What do you use?

Barb. 26k dps, 49k hp, 1k all res, 8300 armor, 24% block, 980 loh.

Ruthless, Superstition, Tough as Nails.

Frenzy-Maniac, Rend-Bloodlust, Leap-Iron Impact(Leap on CD), Earthquake-Giants Stride, Warcry-Impunity, Revenge-Provocation.

Rarely have any issues. Just waiting for a better profile to come out.

I actually just tried this. I like it a lot! Going to try on my bot now. I have a base of 273 MF and also 1800 LOH. I find ACT 3 I die too often. Can't facetank and there are still some combos that are difficult. I think I need more DPS to be able to do act 3 more efficiently.
 
interesting to use earthquake, will give it a try myself and replace my marauders rage, may consider switchng out Giants strike with The Mountain's Call, the 50 fury you save will allow you to spam Rend twice making more damage, and ofc the 25 sec cd reduction is a bonus too.

Just bought a random shit shield for 5m with mass vita, crit chance and all res. Running A3 without a problem now.
Sure, it takes some time to kill the champion packs, but the bot got nothing but time for it.
 
I think I got used to Bash. I'll try Cleave instead.

Wrath gives me enormous DPS and immunity to some odd stuff. I won't change WotB - it's so useful not to die in fear, trap, ice bomb.

And Overpower's not very promising. I could understand if I change WotB for Overpower with redirect damage rune in order not to die in uppermentioned odd stuff. I'll try it out anyway, still I'll be missing my bers if I pick Overpower.
 
Still if I have to play myself it's rather hard to get used to new positions of new skills. And while getting used I'm gonna die maaany times :)

I use Gille's plugin.
 
I have with warcry:

1000-1100 all res
60.000 HP
6700 armor
37.000 DPS

Using this build:

I gotta say, I'm struggling quite a bit with deaths despite my pretty okay stats. Anyone got some suggestions?

I'm using Giles Combat Replacer.
 
I avoid instances like core and tower 2 since they have phase beasts, they are really beasts.

@Geckoz,

is that buffed DPS as well ? youll need 8000+ armor at least and enough LOH or Life leech. HP and AR looks good.
 
I've found that so far defense is much more important than DPS in Act III. I've only started farming it a few days ago so my viewpoint may change but I seem to be doing ok.

I've had a couple of requests for my armory link and while I'm not going to do that, I did screenshot equipment similar to mine and am posting it over in the actual A3 champ thread.

Edit: Screw it, I'll pop it in this thread since that's what it's for.

DPS is lower than I'd like it to be but I seem to be surviving from pack to pack.

50K life
1100 LoH
2.8% Life Steal
48% Block
1K all res (Buffed with War Cry)
11.3K armor
14% Crit Chance
120% Crit Damage
14.5K Health Globe Bonus
12% Run Speed
94 Gold Find
80 Magic Find

No it's not buffed dps, that's without Battle Rage. Im using a 2hander. Arent you too?

I'm not sure where to improve my gear. Pieces with high STR, VIT, ALl res and crit or crit dmg are so expensive. I guess it's an idea to buy one piece loaded with say defensive stats, and another with offensive, to balance it out. Those items are typically cheaper.

22500 dps unbuffed (30.6k with mauraders rage)
about 1100-1200 AR (almost 1300 arcane) with war cry
38 % block
467 life per second.
1225 loh
-7 % damage taken from elites (stormshield)

Pretty much never dies, dps is "fine" but could be so much better. Need to get a weapon with socket for that strong dips :>
