Better safe than sorry!
First of all I will like to apologize for all the mistakes you probably will stumble across as you will read on, English is not my native language, Danish is.
I know botting is very addicting and as you get used to botting, you will use it more and more often. Therefore safety should always be the highest priority, although some of us are hardcore gold sellers and care more about profit/hour than player reports/hour, safety should always be on top. For those of you who use Honorbuddy for private use or on your main account like I do, you will probably like this threat more.
Also I apologize for this wall of text.
This is my opinion on what would make the bot much more fun and human-like playing around with. I also know there are a few plugins out there who will do some of these things, but not as intelligent as I describe them. Also if you are looking for a new idea to make a new plugin, this threat could also be a good idea to take a look at. I think that it is great we have people who will create those plugins, although I think it is best, that the most important features of this list will be implemented by the developers themselves, as they will be updated and working with the versions of Honorbuddy as they come out.
Also, if you are writing a custom class, this threat would be worth taking a look at. (More to come).
Better safe than sorry.
Loot :
Implementing a new looting feature in Honorbuddy. I suggest there should be two new features, a “Normal” and a “Greedy” mode.
When “Normal” is enabled Honorbuddy will loot the enemy after combat. But instead of the looting priority is being done by the sequence of the kill it should be by the closest enemy.
Example:
First you kill a turtle, secondly a dog and finally a bird. Let us imagine the bird will flee and take your character a few yards away from where you killed the turtle and the dog. As it is now, Honorbuddy will now go back looting the turtle (first kill), fore after continuing looting the dog (second kill) and finally return to the bird (third kill). This is both time consuming and is not how a real player would do it.
When “Greedy” is enabled Honorbuddy will loot the enemy just after the kill. This would work great when farming money in places like “The Lost Lands” in Sholazar Basin, where enemies are coming at you from all sides with almost no respawntime. If you constantly are in combat Honorbuddy will not loot at all.
Timers:
Implementing a customizable timer who will allow Honorbuddy to logout or use the hearthstone when reaching:
- - Max level / Experience points (in numbers or percentages)
- - Certain gold earned
- - Certain time reached
- - Certain number of players passed
- - Same person passed by serial of times
- - Minutes player is near
Player nearby:
You have probably thought of this feature before, and it was also implemented in Glider which made me feel safe and probably saved some players a few bans, as bans pretty much relies on player reports rather than an actual Game Master watching you. Although this is for extreme safe users this is still very relevant as I think it improves safety a lot.
This feature is about stopping all processes of Honorbuddy if a player is near you and not starting it before the player is gone and have been away for a certain amount of time (Let us say 30 seconds). This would work very well with the ‘Timer’ feature which will log you out or hearthstone if the same player has passed by serial times. Implement a ‘safe-list’ of those you do not care about sees you botting.
This feature should also let you choose if you want to logout or use your hearthstone if your name is mentioned in the channels, says or yells.
Resurrecting:
I have noticed that after you die, Honorbuddy will instantly release your spirit and start moving towards your corpse. After your character is killed Honorbuddy should randomly release after a customizable interval. (Example. 3-5 seconds). When released, Honorbuddy will start moving towards your corpse right away, this should also be delayed, as many players will look at the map before walking to their corpse. This might be something a Game Master would look into.
Randomization:
Many of you might think this is irrelevant, but this is also a very important safety feature, as it will be acting much more as you would, when you play by hand. It is about making all timers run randomly. When a buff runs out of time Honorbuddy will automatically rebuff. This should randomly be done by your custom class within 3-5 seconds, instead of instantly.
Randomly have Honorbuddy to sit down (a randomly generated number between xx-xx) after slaying an enemy or after drinking/eating even though your health and mana is full.
Randomly, out of all sudden go ‘away’, with a customizable message, such as “brb, getting a drink” and return after a customizable amount of time, but also randomly generated number of time.
When all nearby enemies are slain, wait up and use ‘D’ and ‘S’ to turn around as you were thinking where to go next, or simply just taking a look around. If a player is near, it would also be smart to target them and then walk right up to them – pretending to inspect them.
It would also be more human-like if Honorbuddy would target random people as they walk by. They will see that you are targeting them, and therefore not think you are an automated player. As they think you are inspecting them or simply just checking out who is in the area.
Implementing a new tap window in the Honorbuddy software with a chatlog, so you can keep track of all old and new messages you have gotten while you were away, would also be very helpful, as you would know when to hold back, if a player the night before were spamming you “YOU R BOT!!!”.
Custom Classes:
Players nearby saying "buff" or if you are a paladin “kings” will be buffed. (Much more to come).
Reject invitations:
If someone invites you to a guild, party or a duel reject it after a certain amount of time. If someone however is trying to duel you, you should wait up for a second and come up with a customizable excuse, example “Sorry, I don’t duel”. Then move on. If he is going to request a duel again, a new quote should be displayed, example “I said, no duels!”, but third time the player should be added to your ignore list. This also applies to guild or group invitations.
Much more to come!
If you have any thing to add, write it in the comments or send me a PM and I will added in this threat.
