Easiest AV fix, please implement it

So I am sure a lot of people will agree with me, can you just make PvP/bgbot avoid towers and bunkers altogether? Seriously the functionality of PvPbot in towers has been broken since I first got HB like 4 months ago... and it hasn't made ANY improvements as far as I can tell.

There really is NO need whatsoever to have the profile lead your characters into towers, there are plenty of other places to go in Alterac Valley that aren't filled with opportunities to show off your bot to everyone.

It wouldn't be an issue of the bot was actually productive in towers, but the thing is it's NOT, whatsoever, so why lead them in there anyways?

So make a profile that doesn't go into towers. Fixed.
 
Or just fix the problem for everyone and release it? That's what I would call a fix.

On top of that, it's not really clear which profiles BGBot and PvP bot are using for AV, or if BGBot/PvPbot even functions based off the Default Profiles.

Are you against this fix or something? I don't really see the point of your post.

I've never seen BG beta bot (even when it was 'working') capture a GY or Tower. Or Indeed do anything but run from point to point.

Could someone explain where in the hostpots for BG Beta Bot you would put the side

It says: side = 1 for horde, 0 for alliance. Leave empty for neutral.. Where is this placed in the hotspot? Do i just enter side = 1/2 after the hotspot x,y,z co-ords?

Also the issue with the pathing isn't a profile issue. If you had a profile that ran outside towers this would solve the issue if enemy players were inside towers (which they usually are!)

in the default profiles page, the profiles that are spelled out are used in BG bot (beta) the others are used in pvp bot - as far as i can tell.
 
Really man i think you need to chill a little. If your so unhappy with the product stop using it. Or heres an idea, quit making everyone else do the work and quit bein lazy and create your own profile that avoids the towers like mspazz said. And then heres another idea, release it in the threads and BAM, problem is fixed for everyone just like you wanted :)!!!! I happen to like the way it works and have never been "noticed" for going into the towers. I think it adds somethin to the bot as well. So forcing people to not be able to do that would be just as wrong as what you are describing. Let the devs focus on worse issues with the bot for now and not have them waste their time creating a profile to avoid the av towers. (which is probably only a bg you do once every 2 months when it is av weekend.... so stop freakin out)

and @ lock... i have seen it capture gy's so far not towers yet tho. granted its no "bug free" but thats also why when you click bot setting on bg bot you notice all are green except av (its orange which means usable but buggy). So i agree with you there are problems but at the same time its fine as is for the wicked awesome honor you get

/signed BG Bot is pretty awful with AV in this release. PVP Bot is also quite painful to watch

Bot is just running to galvandar then run into a bus of 40 allies...
Plz fix hotspot on AV :)

So why not have people add their own hotspots in towers and remove them completely from the default profiles if you think it really "adds somethin to the bot" (what's it add anyways? the ability to make your bot look like an actual bot?)? The fact is EVERY class has issues when it goes into towers/bunkers. The bot does not handle line of sight as it is, so is it not reasonable to add a fix that will remove situations where you will get LoS errors? I guarantee you if you watch your bot enough in AV you will see them run into a tower or bunker and either spam while LoS and not do anything, or run around by some stairs back and forth trying to reach people on the next level.

Chill a little? I'm chill. I'm running PvP bot and I'm okay with it. I just think the fix would be beneficial to most all of us in AV to reduce bot detection. I can't believe you guys can honestly say that you don't agree with that statement if you have PvPed in AV enough with HB. The fix I proposed should be fairly easy, I just have no experience with profiles, and it's not big enough of a deal for me to learn the ins and outs of profile making/editing, but I -do- think that it would be a significant fix to HB for PvPers.

Also you clearly don't use HB for PvP very often. AV is not a BG I do every 2 months, but possibly the best BG for afk honor farming while sleeping due to the lesser bot detection since there are so many players and such a large map. This is why this fix would be amazing. And BGBots color coordination is fail... you wanna try out SoTA and tell me if it's really "bug free" because I can tell you it's not, it definitely should be yellow.. this goes with many other BGs, but SOTA has the most obvious bugs that I can tell.

correct. if you wanted to only go to idk say "Galvanger" as alliance you would put side="0" somehwere after hotspot and before the />

First off, I have yet to witness the bot get stuck in a tower and i have watched it for the last 2 days straight on 4 toons. Does not look bottish for the most part minus very few falls of the ramp (which honestly i do when playing by hand so no big deal). Im not saying its perfect and it doesnt get stuck but honestly it works well. Second i have at least 2 toons running bg bot almost as often as i can so yes i pvp with hb and bg bot plenty, i was speaking in the sense that the majority of hb users rarely see an av bg unless its av weekend, so if you specifically target av then im wrong obviously you do it more than just the weekend.

Regardless it is nice having the bot run up the towers fight a little then run out so it doesnt just run a crappy path always staying on the main roads like most bots do. Its nice to see it mix it up. And again its very simple to create a profile that does not include those hotspots.
Im just sayin dont bug the devs about "fixing it" when its not really broken, i know some bugs but still (and as i stated in first post, it even is in orange when u click the box in bg bot settings because its still buggy, so u know what ur getting into before you hit the start button.)

I just think the devs have more important things to work on.... so im not bashin you im just sayin instead of crying to the devs to fix the bg bot in av, just simply ask someone to make you a profile without the towers if you really need it that bad. It will ultimately help everyone as then those who want that profile can use it those that dont dont have to and the devs are not wasting time on something that is far down on the list.

In a word: WRONG

Profiles that do not run into towers as hotspots does not mean that it will always avoid towers. If an enemy is inside a tower or building it will move to enagage them. Running into a wall or other crap in the process. Getting you owned and reported by your team mates watching u being a blatant bot.

There is a difference between Buggy and 'UNSAFE'. Running into walls/ running back and forth and not defending itself are both basic navigation issues and therefore not just minor 'bugs'.

HB should AT LEAST do BG bot fully AFK for all BGs. That is why a while back everyone was running random BGs completley AFK for days at a time (clue is in the name btw)

SOTA is buggy as hell as well (where the green status comes from is a mystery i agree).

This is a discussion. Don't like it? Don't post.

I personally don't see why lifetime users should 'use something else' because the service does not work. I don't sell you something faulty and then tell you to 'use something else'-same principle-same reality.

Curious to know what's more important than making customers happy with a fully functioning bot.
There are never any "we are doing this for next release" posts (will gladly be pointed to one)
Most of the time it's "okay we will fix it next release" sorry to say i don't afk bot so i watch it while watching TV etc and EVERY time it goes into a tower it will stutter walk like it can't find the path up the ramps. It will move 5 yards, stop, move 5 yards, rinse and repeat.

It can find paths fine everywhere else so not a processing power issue...except for IB gy if your horde and it tries to run north has an epileptic seizure at the cliff. Easy to fix with huge Blackspot so not a real problem there. Towers you can't Blackspot so easily. Deleted pvp meshes and re-downloaded etc. Are these game stoppers? Not really. But "make your own profile and don't bother devs" sounds too much like "just blacklist rich nodes" when people complain about rich nodes not getting harvested. It's supposed to work. People pay for something and expect it to work as advertised. That to much to ask?

Honorbuddy...i love IB and AB don't get me wrong but the main product is HONORbuddy not justicepointbuddy or archbuddy. First and foremost thing that should work without ANY problems is the PvP part. At least imho. Yes i also like the questing bot :p But again it's called Honorbuddy not questingbuddy. These are all very nice to be sure but...

All in all i like HB but when people bring things like this up and people just say "hush" basically and it's not even an admin responding to a customers question, no offense to you morrgue, makes it look like Amateur hour.

My post wasn't in any way complaining about how bad HB is, but suggesting a fix that can improve the overall bot detection for PvP HB'ers, I think we can all agree this is something that will benefit all of us. That's awesome if it doesn't happen with your bot, but it happens with a LOT of other people's, and I bet as this thread continues more will agree.

Regardless.. the honor is pretty awesome, I already got full bloodthirsty on one of my chars this weekend.

There is problems with AV idd, i often come and see my account logged out couse of bein stuck in AV. AV and call to the arms is by far the most honor increase you can get. Running this over a weekend is giving you all you need for full set of pvp items.

Please fix this,
 
just a little curious.
How high fps are you guys running wow with when you run Honorbuddy?

You have a car. It breaks. You say, "hey car dealership, fix my car" Some guy walking by says, "you don't like how it works? stop using it, or better yet, make your own car".
