Easiest AV fix, please implement it

Ok so I want my ally char to zerg to the bottom because thats the best way to stay with the biggest group; in the alteracvalley.xml profile, what do I need to change in order to keep my char going that direction? Currently it seems to randomly decide to switch directions and back track - if I knew what part of the profile to change I would gladly do that. Can anyone tell me please?

I am happy with HB, but dont really do any AFK botting with it, just due to wanting Honor on my main account and seeing how it acts in some BGs worries me.

AV being one. I watched my char yesterday do the follow

Status - Going to Galv
Once he got right outside of Galv Building he changed his mind
Status - Going to relief hut
About half way on that trip status changed to
Status - Going to Field of Strife
again about half way to strife the status changed back to
Status - Going to Relief hut

It it just kept doing that, changing its mind where to go most of the time before it would even get to the spot. Then toward the end of the BG after me manually getting him to Van to fight with the groups there, he decided he needed to go back to Belinda who was already dead.

I thought it was said that the bot would go to where the most people are, but I am curious what determines this, as when it was going to those spots they were empty from my map

But I also see him choose a spot and charge into one that is 0 horde and all alliance which is bad for me being horde.

I looked at the profile and deleted out parts such as Relief hut and field of strife, and have considered editing more but it isnt fully clear.

There is this it mentions

default = "True" if this hotspot should be our default one. (When all others aren't usable, we'll use this one)

But doesnt say where in the line if specified this has to be
and

side = 1 for horde, 0 for alliance. Leave empty for neutral.

I am guessing that would benefit me as I only play horde, I could delete all Alliance spots and add that in to make my char do things better.

I am thinking of deleting all hotspots besides Van, and the GY and towers by him as it seems from running these lately the horde just zergs to there anyway.

I've removed all but the bosses in my AV profile.. it is far from the best, but I have been in the final fight several times...

use it if you want, but don't expect any support. (change default hotspot if you are horde)

still pulls aggro when it sees players but thats what it is designed to do

Yes, that was same for me; this last run through I deleted all horde related hotspots and made Galv my default. Glad I looked into it a bit further bc it turned out to be something I could easily change. I can't change the fact it still targets mounted players, but oh well.

honestly the devs have known about the issues with both the profiles and the pvp botting programs for awhile now and it is prob not their top priority to get fixxed but it has been 3 months almost since the devs have even touched the default profiles for pvp. We pay for a product so fix your stuff ty have a good day.

To the poster saying make your own profiles... Fine and dandy if you have to time/will/interest to do so but alot of us do not and the devs have negelicted the pvp bots for awhile now. They need some overhaul done and profiles need to have way smarter paths placed in them instead of say WSG running on the sides of the map to the center of the field etc.

There's a good reason the profiles have not been touched for any of the BGs.

None of them are broken. Plain and simple.

I originally wrote the profiles to encompass as many 'areas' as I could, without overwhelming the bot, and causing it to get too 'jerky'.

If you don't like the way the profile works, feel free to comment out the hotspots you don't like. We will not however, remove them to make 5-10 people happy, and in turn annoy the rest of our customer base.

I apologize that you're in the minority, and don't like the profiles. But that's also the reason why they aren't hard-coded into the bot itself. If you don't like it, feel free to change it.

^ I think Alot of you people are over thinking the bot. I think the AV bot is fine, it Pats around, goes into Towers helping Defend, Defends flags here and there.. The only things that Are a Problem IMO are,

Going to Galv, It will nearly enter his room then turn around and run into the alliance... That is fine I guess, But could be coded better.
As well as when he spawns at the Graveyard near Galv and starts running back and forth by the hill.

Other than that I dont see the issue you guys have with the towers, My bot always enters towers flawlessly, starts attacking people, either dies or kills them all off and runs back Downstairs and continues his path.

I tried changing a few hotspots so it would be far enough away from the passing horde to not target them - though that fouled something up. Is tlx/tly , brx/bry , independent of hotspots?

I ended up just editing the profile myself (horde). I have it run to belinda as default, then after that check i only have a hotspot on the left, and the right of the alli bridge. I had to redo those points because it kept running under the bridge for some reason. It does pretty good, just keeps running the road towards van and killing everyone in sight. pretty much stays with whole group so it looks pretty normal.

Thank you apoc for saying what i was trying to say in the first place. (sorry for the "dont like it, dont use it" comment it was not intended that way when i wrote but i realize now how it sounded.

^^^ and this is just horrible logic. Its not something that is broken. It is something that he doesnt like and wants to change. You dont walk in to the CEO of a major car company and say "hey the car i just bought has road tires and i wanted all terrain tires. Change this now so that everyone has to get all terrain tires when they buy this car" They would not do a thing because most people like the tires that are on it and if they dont they simply ask to have different tires put on it. Not demand that it be changed for everyone)

I stated previously that coming on and demanding that something be fixed that is not actual broken is just over the top and is the point i was trying to make. Before you even start BG bot it says that AV is still buggy so you know there will be some issues. So dont just come flying into the forums demanding theat the devs "fix" the problem without any regard to the other users or the devs. Most users like the way bg bot works and the devs are usually aware of problems in the bot and coming in demanding they fix something "because its easy" and "I use this feature so do this before anything else thats broken and probably more important" is not going to help fix it or get it done faster.

In short i just feel people need to stop being so demanding. Its a bot. It is going to look bottish! You took that risk the second you hit that start button. There is no bot that does half the things HB does or even half as well. Its not easy to code this beast and there are going to be some problems. Sit tight until the problem is fixed or stop using it and dont take the risk. Its that simple.

There is a bugtracker for a reason. You dont like something then report it. Dont come on here and demand that you get what you want. It doesnt help.

IMO it's not the profiles that a broken. It's the nav system that gets stuck in towers and stuff. Also before cata it seemed like the nav system was ALOT better. Im wondering if anyone is working on the nav system.

Im running 2 accts, both doing mixed mode (arch and bg bot AV). I have min settings on my bot acct and high settings on my main acct. Both accts are close to 60 unless Im in a main city. My rogue seems to be having better luck in AV cuz he has less problems and about 200k more Xp and hour. The druid keeps logging out from getting stuck. Theyre both 72 and on the same faction and server.

How do I get new tlx/tly , brx/bry values? When the only change I make to the profile is the hotspot for Field of Strife, the profile won't run; could you tell me how because I would really like to change it.
