Dunatank's Warrior CC - An Arms/Fury/Protection CC

hey, nerd, are you considering uploading new releases via SVN in the future? :)
it's so easy to update to the newest version with SVN, that's why I'm asking!
 
Hey there!

First of all, thank all of you for the amazing feedback! As we returned, we immediately continued developing the CC. We feel the need to reply to every suggestion, so here's a wall of text:

- Commanding shout spam
When there is a priest in the party doing Fortitude buff your commanding shout will become unnecessary. The CC still wants you to cast it and fills my log with "--> Commanding Shout <--"

The CC is now checking for "Power Word: Fortitude". If you have it, the CC won't try to cast "Commanding Shout" anymore.

- Victory Rush
Maybe it is an idea to add Victory Rush. Even though you might not be able to cast it very often it is still a nice bonus and loads of HP for a tank. (and no rage cost yay!)

- Taunt
I personally would not want my CC to taunt, I prefer to taunt myself when I think it is suited. Besides that though, after I charge in a pack of mobs it immediately taunts my target. Is that intended?

Taunting can now be switched on or off in the CC config.

- General spam
There is alot of text at some points during a fight. For example: "Detected 2 adds! Switchting to AoE Rank mode!"
If you want to see what your character is doing during combat this spam makes it pretty hard to follow :P.

Instead of "Detected xx adds!", the CC will now only tell you which attacks are casted onto a group of mobs. This should reduce spam greatly.

- If spellreflect is up no do not interupt
As a warrior your spell reflect is a nice tool. Maybe it is an idea to not interrupt when Spell Reflection is up?

This is an interesting idea. Will maybe be implemented in a later version, because you'd basicly have to enumerate very single harmful, so reflectable spell.

-Some config options
Maybe it is an idea to add some config options. For example:
- % to activate last stand
- Battle Shout / Commanding Shout

This is a great CC and I thank you for the work!

If you don't mind, I would like to suggest some modification to make this CC perfect.

Trash Rotation:

Rend should be applied first before Thunderclap is used. I don't know if a CC can detect Rend debuff or not. If it can, it should check if Rend is on before Thunderclap and applied or re-applied Rend for those times Rend misses.

Rend should be applied before casting Thunderclap on AoE targets, if you have enough rage.

The CC should detect Sword and Board talent and apply Shield Slam more often. It should prioritize ability based on its importance.

Sword and Board is now detected! Thank you! Once we rewrite the whole CC to use BehaviourTrees, priority selectors will be implemented.

Targetting:

Perhaps the CC shouldn't auto-target? There is currently a bug with the targetting system in 4.2 where it sometimes target corpses.[...]

This CC does not target anything on its own.

Sword and Board procs this CC needs to use em bad.

Seems that if a mob isn't completely focused the CC slows down its rotation or does nothing at all.

Sorry, but I don't get your point here. Please elaborate on this.

At this stage of development, we don't really see the need for an SVN trunk. Thank you anyway :)
 
I will keep all old versions online, just in case someone wants to see if things really improved ;)
 
Sorry, but I don't get your point here. Please elaborate on this.

Lets say if something "accidentally" tanks something instead of the toon the rotation will slow down or not attack at all.
For example the Hyjal Protectors have a bear tank that will pull threat. Once a mob gets on him the CCs rotation wont attack or will slow down.

Do you mean the CC does not work if the current target isn't attacking the toon using the CC?
 
Update: We're currently working on a version using BehaviourTrees!

I search on Google and even saw a CC already using BehaviourTrees. Yet, I still don't fully understand what exactly it is.

What features would BehaviourTrees brings to this CC?

It let you control more of the character and be more advance, see it as a more complex way of coding the CC but making it more flexible and faster in the end. read the wiki some info is there.
 
testing goes decent atm, gimme some time to clear heroic then ill write a whole post.

Is working absolutely smooth, but IMHO Shockwave is too early.
Can't positionate the targets in front of me if they are not grouped.
Maybe no skill, but ok ;-)
