Yes, I'm gonna work on chicken wd today, most likely.

My gues is that its because the build uses etched sigil to spawn twister. The more you channel disintegrate the more twisters spawn
Havent tried the build yet, but i believe its because while you are channeling Disintegrate you will be automatically spitting out ~1 tornado per second, thus there is no need to cast them manually.
I'm still not convinced. You can cast twisters faster than Etched Sigil procs AND Sigil twisters don't proc DMO's first set bonus.

No, I'm using invoker+punish build. That's why spamming Steed Charge bothers me.
When the bot need to loiter it works fine. But when the bot need to combat, it still use Steed Charge off CD.
It's a dps loss for invoker+punish build and sometimes the bot will die in high level GR because of it.
Duly noted. Out of curiosity, what rune are you using for steed charge?
 
That link doesn't explain at all why we wouldn't cast twisters.

not saying u dont need to cast twister... just linked the build cause you asked someone else for it.. hehhe
disintegrate will cast twisters for but u still need to cast twister for the slow time to be up when needed
but maybe make it not cast twister if mana lower than x% maybe..
or it will make ur mana zero and will be hard to cast disintegrate too
 
I use Endurance rune
So I'm testing this right now. It's only casting Steed Charge Off CD if I have that option checked. It doesn't cast it at all in combat when it's unchecked with the Spiked Barding Rune.

you can try it again when set combat with14 monsterS in 5yards,and you will find that question.
it runs not for combat but for the igored mobs,I guess

I use Endurance too.

In v2.14.17, it will cast steed charge in fighting with elite and on off the horse.

In v2.14.1, it never cast steed charge in fighting with mobs and only cast steed charge for searching next target.

The code doesn't care at all about runes, my guess is that his build is missing celerity which is triggering it to think the build is the bombardment build which has that faulty loitering code (the fix I posted before makes it loiter around mobs with steed still without screwing up tp). The conditions to trigger the bombardment build are:

have Bombardment skill,
have Belt Of The Trove equipped,
have The Mortal Drama equipped,
and DON'T have Punish skill

If they decided to use a different generator than Punish then their Invoker build will use the LoN Bombardment build code. Perhaps it should check for any generator.

There is also the possibility that "use steed off cd" is enabled which will allow it to spam steed in combat.


ps. everybody thinking the "use steed ooc" setting is supposed to force it to ONLY use steed out of combat, it is not coded that way, it allows steed to be used out of combat instead of only in combat.

Interesting. Is anyone who's having problems with Steed Charge + Invoker's using a generator other than Punish?

Sorry for replying so late. I was running some tests.

I tried to do a complete reinstall.(DBbeta 1.1.2892.590 fresh download, with trinity 2.14.17 and adventurer 1.3.4.11)
And the Steed Charge problem still there.

I did use celerity rune for punish.

I also tried changing the CrusaderCombat.cs from Trinity 2.14.1 and the Steed Charge is fixed!

Also, I've been watching my chicken wd for a while now. For people claiming to have issues with this build:

For those of you who said it seems to get stuck on pets: I haven't seen this so far. Is there some new variation of this build I'm not aware of? Also, so what? WD will move like it's stuck if has nothing else to cast, but so far no one has been able to explain why that would be detrimental to performance.

For those of you having problem with opening gates: hold on to your horses, I'm trying to reproduce this one still.

Trinity 2.14.1 used steed charge pretty good for invoker+punish build.

It never cast steed charge unnecessarily.
 
But does Trinity 2.14.1 have a disconnect problem when using Law of Justice?
 
Hooray! I'll push it to SVN then. It should be ok in the next version.

edit: Ok, I was able to reproduce and pinpoint the cause of the chicken wd gate issue. Guess what? It's Adventurer's Zerg mode! Now let's see if I can fix it...
