Yes. Well you might wonder why...I have to go out : -bot farms, friends call go to club/bar/movie/strip/etc etc yea anytime. Need to run errand : sure no problem. I'm always available now. Before the bot I was like.... Uhmmm well I was bs - ing people saying i had stuff to do when I was raiding instead. Now I don't raid at all so I have time for everyone. Bad part - computer open all the time XD.

I usually sit at my computer when the bot is going, on one account it levels/farm, and on the other wow account I might play or play CoD MW2 during the time.
I do babysit my bot a lot because I do my homework in front of my computer and so on..

So yes, it gives me more time.

I work at home so I basically run the bots while I'm working.
I can't say I have more free time but I definitely have more work time.

Naw, still masturbate whislt I bot. I guess, the difference is, higher dps, more xp/hr, etc.

Im like you... I spend so much time setting up bots/profiles and what not that it would prob be quicker to just do the damn shit manually. Of course thats not true, but it feels that way.

For me botting gives me free time in the sense that I don't have to spending the time farming the gold and mats I need to keep mine and a few gaming friends' main toons from wanting or needing anything. The three of us all bot and never worry about spending gold in the game on anything we want even when it's something not worth the price. We don't sell gold and we prolly give 50% of the gold and mats we farm each week to our guildies since we have no need for it all. So botting saves me time in the farming aspect.

Where it CONSUMES my time is my obsession with perfecting profiles. I've spent hours rewriting a profile over and over again just to work out every imperfection so that when I hit start I know where it's going, what it's killing, and how well it survives it. For me that's the most fun part of botting now since I don't need more toons (untill Cataclysm comes out anyway), and I don't sell accounts anymore. So basically profile writting is what consumes my free time during the day after I've run and hit the gym. I'm always amazed at what the Nav Mesh system and quest botting can accomplish.

So I guess all in all botting gives me more free time in one area, but takes it up in another so I guess it's a wash. :)

I work fulltime, have a 17 month old son and will have a second kid at the end of the year, if all goes well. I want to be able to both spend time with my family AND play World of Warcraft, without having to waste time on tedious things like levelling and grinding. Plus, I just want easy gold to buy stuff and level professions.

HB/GB just makes it easier for me to balance social activities with WoW.

I would say that it saves me alot of time, studying + working part time takes up most of my time schedual, which means im loving honorbuddy as i just started out fresh :) so gonna get to 70 soon :P

Well, i started botting to make a little xtra cash

I can't play more than one acc at a time.. so it does help me ofc..
less time in front of computer i don't think so.. because I program a relogger / time scheduler atm... but as soon that is done and prowl is set up it will save time ^^

Anyhow.. atm i'm still using the "free" time to get botting more automated, and easier to sit, so i can study, work or get laid while the bots work for me :)

I invested quite some money from the start (about 260-300 bucks) so atm i run some bots at night aswell to get the cash back
So i sleep + botting = time saver

The only time I put into my bots after I have the geared is just the ammount of time it takes to start gb and then to auction off (literally 10 mins a day with quick auctions). It also saves me time allowing me to not do dailies or farm manually on my main. In terms of my main Id say it gives me more time to do things I enjoy in game instead of boring grinds, but it really doesn't give me more time irl since I play just as much unless I have hb running.

In answer to the OPs original question - YES. Botting does give me plenty of time away from the computer.

Additional to the OPs original question - NO. I have spent THOUSANDS of hours developing, debugging and designing CCs for this community. :p

I find it frees me up tremendously at weekends. During honour weekends I'd think 'I've got to make the most of this' and try and squeeze in a couple of hours in Saturday afternoon, or Sunday evening. Now I don't have to go near WoW the whole weekend and gain lots of levels, which keeps both me and 'er indoors happy.

Botting gives me a lot free time. Before I spent all my day on wow and didn't earn a single $. Now I don't play any ( well, auctions ) and I earn a nice pocket money.

^^ /agreed

Fail IRL WoW players i know buy gold at ?3/1000g . Thought demand isnt all that high, im young and get an extra ?25 a week or so for nothing.

Mostly I bot in the back ground when I do other work on the PC or watching TV, so technically it is giving me free time to do other things.
