[Discussion] Life-time keys expiring now

I can't say I'm surprised. Always knew the lifetime model wasn't going to work long term but I got decent value. Not what was promised ofcourse and like bossland I too will cut my losses. When my lifetime keys expire my customer status will expire with it.

i don't understand the dropping it right now thing, why not ease into it and tell people u have 3 months left. lol i think people need to understand they are not dealing with a real company and it is a bunch of people that wanted to make a fast dollar or euro or what ever, really to be scammed by a "Botting" company is kind of expected right? Sucks to be scammed but eh it is what it is , we pay money to people on the internet and have to except the fact a scam is a scam.
 
not the first place to pull the lifetime switch... it's bs but not much to do but not give any more business
 
Well ... I can't say that I am surprised. This was bound to happen.

Based off all time I spent botting with Demonbuddy and Honorbuddy over the years, I guess I can't complain too much except for the fact that Bossland should have at least given a month or two notice for such a change. All my keys are now expired.

Anyway, if I can suggest something to Bossland, they need to come out with a Demonbuddy key that allows 4 clients; not 3 plus 1. I only play meta and buying two keys is inconvenient. I also don't have a problem paying for a key every year; especially since I bot like mad and would get my money's worth. ;)
 
Its almost like buying a car for $20,000 and then you get your first car payment and they say, well, our dealership needs the money, so the car now costs you $50,000. Its just unethical. Sadly, I will not be renewing and paying for 5 lifetime bots :(

The buddy team will earn more money, but I feel like this will cause many people in the community to leave :(
 
well, lifetime is life of the product. All they need to do is end Demonbuddy and create Demonbuddy II. It's a brand new product and thus you must buy membership. It's very much like the scam that 24Hour Fitness pulled in the states. Sold lifetime $10 monthly memberships for their gym and then decided to change it by giving all customers towels. The gym is now a 24hour Fitness Super Sport vs the regular 24hour Fitness. New name, new brand, new membership.
 
You should have kept your lifetime users grandfathered in.. and maybe change recent sales to month to month.. Anyone who bought a lifetime should have stayed.

Shame.. Sucks. You're charging a shit ton for month to month service.
 
Yup, I'm out too. Got Demonbuddy, Hearthbuddy and Demonbuddy lifetime keys, all expiring tomorrow. This means I won't be playing D3 or WoW anymore too but whatever. Sticking with Overwatch and other no-grind games.
 
I bought my key in March of 2014, seriously think i got my moneys worth. I can understand people being upset, but you also should think about the other option. The only other option is to terminate the bot and what does that get you? Will this new payment requirement mean actually bug and profile fixes that have been in the que for eons?

I don't mind paying the 25 euro for a years worth of being able to bot. The only thing that concerns me at the moment, if I do pay for a years licence what keeps Bossland/buddy team from terminating demonbuddy like they did the other bots after they got my money. They really are not communicating and trying to develop that trust with their customers currently.

You might have gotten your monies worth, and sure, 25 euro a year is not bad, but for people who have 5-10 lifetime keys, if not more, it adds up.. We bought lifetime keys for a reason.
 
This is highly illegal in nearly every part of the world, You talk about legal costs then you are breaking the law by doing this as well? you are now risking your current users banding together for to take action as a group and that will then add more to your legal cost.

I paid for life time membership for 2 games because i didnt want to have to pay for it again as a once off payment and i expect to get that service, not 1 year into it get told that you are willing to break the law to rip me off of the money that I paid.

Yes it does add up, but the other option is end of service.....

I also have multiple keys for multiple games, would be nice if they would grandfather us in to at least allow multiple keys for the yearly cost.Turn the yearly cost into a access fee instead of a per key basis.

Trinity delevoper aka xzjv is on payroll

so whatever bug has to do with DB,Trinity/Adventurer and stock profiles are getting fixed by Bossland Gmbh staff
 
What a piece of shit company. I have purchased lifetime keys for PoE, WoW, D3 and HS over the years. Now you take them away. Get your heads out of your ass and treat your customers right.
