Demonbuddy Hardcore Edition (Dogmeat's Combat Book) MASTER Thread

I have two more questions. Is schaefer's good for a 100mil budget barb or should I consider something else?
Will you be making any loot rules that keeps items that are "worth selling" on HC. this would be extremely helpful so you could simply sell all the items that it picks up. like 5mil+ in value or something you get my point :)

Hey dogmeat, I'm glad you're spending your time working on this. However I had an issue relating to the auto skilled plugin, I started out with a wizard and when it hit level 2 it never equipped the 'Ray of Frost' skill successfully. I assume the bot was still trying to use the skill though, because every 20 seconds or so I would get a disconnect error and be dropped from the game.

I restarted my game, and equipped the 'Ray of Frost' skill manually and it went on using the skill just fine. Once I hit level 4 it equipped 'Frost Nova' just fine, and I'm not getting disconnected anymore. Do you know if this was related to your plugin?

More likely a lag problem, it sometimes happens. Just untick your Autoskilled and tick it again. Remember if you switch character, you gotta restart Demonbuddy for Autoskilled to work (or at least untick/tick Autoskilled - might not work).

No, barb has no lightning skills other than to stun and for show. So if go 2-hander, the best option is Skorn.

Oh alright, thanks for the information :D. I noticed in your auto skill build for wizard, that it tries to equip the skill 'Blizzard' at level 26. The skill is normally unlocked at level 27 so it fails to equip it, and causes the same problem to occur.

<Level value="26">
<SetSkill name="Blizzard" rune="None" slot="R" />

Here is a link to the 'Blizzard' skill on the BNet site: Blizzard - Game Guide - Diablo III

edit: It also tries equipping the 'Frozen Solid' rune on 'Blizzard' at level 41, when the rune is unlocked at 42.

Also at level 35 your demon hunter skill build tries equipping the skill 'Preparation' with the rune called 'Dark Cloud', but that rune is for the skill 'Rain of Vengeance'. The build also tries to equip the 'Boar Companion' rune at level 17 which is a level 42 rune, near the end of the file.

Yes, that's true. :)

The wizard was the 1st character I fiddled with when I modified Autoskilled for Hardcore botting, and I used information from another website, which was not accurate, so it's 100% chance that your game WILL CRASH if you bot a Wizard. My apologies. :( I will promptly edit the Wizard build file as you suggested.

Regarding the DH build, I've never touched it, so, congratulations, you have just found 1 of the bugs that might have caused Demonbuddy to crash using Autoskilled. :)

Thank you so much for lending me a hand in debugging the code. I deeply appreciate your help, in case I received a donation (none so far), I will gladly send some your way (pm me with your paypal email). And, please take a look at other build files as well, you have correct information, while I didn't.

Thanks again!

dogmeat

Thnx a lot dogmeat for the quick reply, I will try your recommendations and will post back with my findings.
I always level on MP0 but I didn't know I had to re-equip manually every few levels. I'm thinking this will go smoothly as I babysit my little bottie now :)

Thnx again.

FYI, I was leveling on MP4 and not MP0 as suggested, stupid me.
Leveling on MP0 now and seemingly breezing through, thnx for all the help.

Just one more thingy, I don't know if it's the profile or not but I always get stuck just before talking to Haedrig and just before taking the first sword peace... Just runs to corner and doesn't come out...

Good job dogmeat works like a charm thanx for this

If you receive a donation for your work, you should keep it considering you're the one spending most of your time on this.

Looking at your witch doctor build, it equips 'Plague of Toads' without a rune at level 11 but doesn't ever equip a rune for it before the build replaces it with 'Zombie Charger' at level 27.

Your barb build doesn't equip a rune on HOTA at level 7.

This also might cause an issue

Code:
  <Level value="14">
    <SetSkill name="Leap" rune="IronImpact" slot="3" />
  </Level>
  <Level value="15">
    <SetSkill name="Leap" rune="IronImpact" slot="1" />
	<SetSkill name="Rend" rune="Ravage" slot="R" />
    <SetSkill name="HammerOfTheAncients" rune="Smash" slot="3" />
  </Level>

Might be safer to place 'Leap' after HOTA at level 15, since 'Rend' will replace HOTA, then HOTA will replace 'Leap'. Instead of trying to replace 'Ground Stomp' with 'Leap' while 'Leap' is already equipped in another slot.

I also noticed that the bot doesn't do very well when the AutoSkilled plugin swaps out skills, maybe you could add something to it to stop and restart the bot after it changes the skills?

Yeah, that's a known problem with the 1-60 Questing profile and/or QuestTools. I've never taken a look at their code, so I can't help you there. :)

I went ahead and made a build for each class with softcore in mind, you can include them in your next release if you'd like.

edit: I'm not sure if this is a problem with Trinity or something you've changed but the bot doesn't seem to want to use the skill 'Rapid Fire' while 'Evasive Fire' is equipped for Demon Hunter.

I dont know where else to ask this but what are the differences between mp1 and mp10 loot wise? is mp10 always more loot or is there only an experience difference?

Right now im running mp1 weep n misery works like a charm great work!

Please comment everything you want (i.e. builds) to implement in the next version!
I suggest using HC builds included for optimal efficiency on MP10 (no deaths)
IF YOU'RE LEVELING FROM 1-60 HC, RE-EQUIP YOUR BOT WITH BETTER GEAR EVERY 3-5 LEVEL

Contents:
- Modified version of the newest Trinity (and from 1 to several other plugins, profiles) that supports most builds out there with settings included, geared towards no deaths, suitable for botting HC as well as SC efficiently.
- Modified version of AutoSkilled, builds for Barb, Witchdoctor, Wizard, and Monk are provided to ensure best survivability (no dealth) when leveling from lv1-60 in HC.
- Documentable changes are notated in the code.

Installation:
- Overwrite contents in Demonbuddy folder with those provided
- Please don't change any settings under the Trinity Combat tab unless you're 100% sure of what you're doing. Settings are made as such for a reason.
- Please don't change your Variables (using Trinity's advanced Variable editor), unless you're 100% sure of what you're doing. Variables are set as such for a reason.

Changes in this version:

- Barbs: extensive optimization, please test dual gen (punish + maniac + HoTA) and WW/HoTA hybrid and give feedback

- Demon Hunter: optimized take two, please post the builds you want and why it, in case, doesn't work. v0.2 Beta 2: Added support for Preparation-Punishment (for that Hatred hungry strafe build).

- Monk: tri-gen monk will definitely work now, with combination strike as well. I advise against it though, there are better builds out there (Nirvana), aim for faster farming time and less deaths rather than sheet dps increase.

- Witchdoctor: extensive optimization, please try bears + locust swarm and give feedback on whether it works now, CoB as well.

- Wizard: optimized to work as excellent as previous version (CM Wiz and CM/Archon Hybrid).

need barb implement for this spec

Barbarian - Game Guide - Diablo III

I adjusted the build slightly, to use the wider AOE with HoTA, and yea i found what i needed to do... i set the health % to avoid things at around 40% (everything was at 100%).... now it stands in it and just nukes and only runs when it needs to.

Might swap back to the harder hitting HoTA...

Also, any way to force it to use Wrath more often? It spends way to much time off CD for my liking =p.

agree with this, I'd like to wrath through white as i'm currently doing white trash only and skipping all blue/yellow/purple

*edit: also good job with these nice attack customization, I like the monk changes I've seen thus far as well...CM/SNS still leaves something to be desired...not sure what that is yet though - my first impression is teleport could use a look at

Sep 11 2013
WD:
- Firebats: click and hold implemented (including CoB).

Thanks dogmeat. Running your setup on some HOTA HC barb's. least derp I've seen.

Also how can a just-released Bot be better than what we have here after over a year of updates and community work? Judging by that video, it doesnt have anything new on DB.

It's much easier to fiddle with - in real time. :)

Meh. So it's better for users who want to/ have the knowledge to code their own stuff, but for us regular users it'll probably be a year before its anywhere close to DB t.t
