USE "QUESTING" BOT

100% AFK (excluding unrelated HB stuck issues and other HB errors)

Special thanks to twistedcf for adding repair/vendor support, a better path through the dungeon, and (most importantly) a reliable abomination-pulling path in Slaughter Square!
Also, special thanks to Swordsfish for updating this profile for the 5.0.4 patch!

The profile will endlessly run normal Stratholme for Baron Rivendare's "Deathcharger's Reins", the undead skeletal mount (and accompanying Feat of Strength). My mount dropped after exactly 200 runs. (UGH) But some people get it much sooner, others later. The bot should turn looting on for the Baron and then turn it off. (Sometimes it will loot some of the corpses out in the courtyard before resetting, but it shouldn't loot many, if any, others besides the Baron). The bot will pause in the courtyard several times and run around there a LOT; this is normal.

If you had previously been burning through the dungeon too quickly and hitting the "Too Many Instances" issue, this version is slower to make it more reliable, so try it again with the new profile.

Start the bot INSIDE the instance from Service Gate entrance (i.e. NOT the main Strat entrance). I highly recommend you turn looting off for these runs; the bot will turn it on temporarily to loot the Baron at the end (it might loot a couple other nearby corpses near the Baron if they are close enough, but that's it).



  • 2.0 - Added repairs, optimized path through the dungeon, and totally changed the abomination pull routine to be very reliable
  • 2.1 - Updated blackspots to avoid some lampposts
  • 3.0 - Updated for WoW patch 5.0.4 - thanks Swordsfish!

So far so good, cleared up to 1 abomination. Just had to do the rest and then it runs out resets, and does it again. This is better than not having anything.

It won't let me download that attachment because it's in the Archive section. :( Do you have a copy of it I can look at?

Looting in my profile is not hard-coded, so you can turn it on from your HB client if you want to loot everything. I personally turn mine off to dramatically increase speed through the instance, but that's up to each person.

This did not allow looting in the zigs though unless you changed it, the purples there are still good coin, mobs are dead anyway.

If you could merge yours and that one it would be fine. HB always crashed when zoning out for me though.

Yes, I have a copy at home, I will PM you when I get back tonight.

My preferences would be to loot the Zig bosses and the Baron only, the profile I will upload had it turned off for everything except the Baron.

My bad, blues only, memory going as I age :) Still like to loot and sell anyway.

Some plans drop off the abominations too, from memory :)

Thank you for posting the file! It looks like this is a Grind profile, and I'm kind of amazed this worked at all. I can't see how it would automatically reset anything (his profile makes you do the first part manually anyway, and doesn't include reset logic)

Here's a rundown of this issue, for anybody who gives a crap and wants to help. :)

My problem all along is very simple: I can't get the bot to reliably pull ALL abominations, and the reason for that is ONLY because the "I'm gonna pull that" distance for the RunTo command is so small. I have tried a lot (before posting this profile) to trick the bot into switching to Grind mode in that part, because when grinding the bot uses a MUCH larger aggro radius.

Problem 1 can be solved by setting a GrindArea and telling the bot which mobs to grind. It then pulls the aboms from far away. (Yay!) But now I have Problem 2: the bot doesn't know when to stop patrolling the area for aboms. As of today, HB doesn't (and I've asked) yet support checking the chat log to trigger an event. (i.e. "grind aboms until you see the Baron yell at Ramstein to get out there") Next idea, tell the bot that after it kills a fixed number of aboms, the grind is over. But this "grind x mobs" behavior is set in a quest, and since there is no actual quest the player would have to actually kill x aboms, I don't know how to tell the bot to count how many aboms it has killed.

I'm SO close to figuring this out! Maybe there's a fellow profile writer reading this who might know this one last part?

In summary, any ONE of the following would allow me to make this 100% AFK:
1) How to temporarily increase the "clear the path" distance when using RunTo command
2) How to trigger a GrindUntil condition of killing a specified number of total mobs (i.e. "grind until you kill 13 mobs")
3) How to trick the Quest bot into tracking "kill x mobs" as if it were a fake quest (i.e. "you have a quest to kill 13 aboms! Here they are! Grind until the quest is done!")
 
I am agreeing with you that it would clear the end of it perfectly, and the way they did that was because it's a Grind bot profile where he just sets the areas in the front of the Slaughterhouse, and in the Baron's room as hotspots, and then also sets the front of the instance as a hotspot, and the bot would clear them. I, too, want to set the end part as a Grind so it clears it, but there are a few other issues (see above post).

Hmmm I just had an idea. I can have it take a lap around the room, then manually to a /tar (abom name), check to see if the target is dead, then /tar (other abom name), check to see if that's dead, and if so run to the front of the Slaughterhouse. That'll be tricky but it might work.

If you're using questing profiles, then use MyCTM and put spots troughout the room?

Edit: Was giving it some more thought...
Maybe use a While condition if something is available like that, kill mobs with a while condition of Rammstein appearing and then kill him?
I'm not really into questing profiles, so I don't know what can and can't be done with the while tag.

I could easily do it with a While condition, but I can't find a condition to use that triggers when Ramstein shows up, or what the aboms all die. Therein lies the problem. :( It would be easy if I could use the chat log, but HB can't do that yet.

IDEA: use a my ctm condition and have it run a macro to /targetenemy then /attack and have it run a few time move to new hotspot and do it again and so on?
