Hello there,

I was wondering if any of the veteran users of thebuddy's software would like to share what kind of specs they use to run 6 or more clients of Diablo3.
So if any of you like to share, feel free to!.

I'm not a vet or anything, i just bought DB a few weeks ago..

But i have:

CPU: 8 Core Bulldozer 3.8ghz Black edition - Cooled with watercooling
Ram: 16gig Vengence DDR3 @1666mhz
GFX: GTX460 (Upgrading soon to x3 560TI in SLI)
SSD: Purely for Operating system. - Buying a 120gig for Botting use ONLY. (120$ in USA for 120gig atm)

Im running like 3 Diablos, Soon to be 6 if Bossland "Lives up to his word on doubling sessions." I'm also running with a vmware Autoit'ing SWTOR. and still can do many things such as watch movies etc etc.

change yours from 18 or 19.5 to 22 x200, you'll be running at 4.4 instead of whatever you're at now

Sorry for hijacking the thread but I would like to know what sort of hardware I need to run 1xDiablo (High Quality) and 2xDiablo (low quality) on one PC? I want to play the account with the high graphic settings actively while I'm botting the other two.

Newegg.com - Mushkin Enhanced Chronos MKNSSDCR240GB 2.5" 240GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

this will be my 3rd addition to SSD for my "toy" pc just figured if u found one for 120:120 that xtra 60$ for double the size and its read/write 500~ mbps

here from an other theard. ;) http://www.thebuddyforum.com/demonbuddy-forum/56872-best-computer-strictly-botting.html

I built a mid-tower recently for ~$1200

Level 10 Thermaltake GTS (midtower) - $110
amd 8 core cpu 8150 - $199 (or ~150-160 for the 8120 version) (newegg or amazon)
ROG Crosshair V - open box (Newegg) - $153 (new is $220)
32 ram (4x8) @ 1.6GHz - $160 (Amazon.com - Komputerbay RAM; or corsair etc for $210-220)
Asus 7970 6 video out 7970 - open box (newegg) - $380 that I bought for main comp and put in my 'old' 6950 into bot comp ($240-260)
PSU - 1050w Kentek - $65 (Amazon) -- there are various psu's, since it was a bot comp... i didn't care; I personally use a 1200w silverstone in my main computer
Corsair H100 cpu liquid cooling - $100 Amazon or $115 Newegg (or you can get the coolermaster V6 GT for $47)
DVD burner - $20
120GB SSD - $80-100

Artic Silver Thermal Paste - $5
I bought some extra 200mm and 120mm fans as well; 4-pack coolermaster 120mm fans for $15, 3x 200mm fans for $19 each

The AMD 8 core is the best bang for the buck atm. The 2011 Intel's do out-perform them, but they're $500 for the processor and $200-300 for a mobo, which is retarded
I know some fanboi is gonna be like 'oh, well the 1366 <insert some fanboi remark here> and are around the same price as the amd chips>'

@OP - If you don't know how to build a PC, l2build; it's like 20 screws, a little bit of pluggin in stuff that you can't wrongly plugin and that's it. There's plenty of thermal paste guides out there... watch the newegg one where paul puts on arctic silver onto an intel chip

Demonbuddy runs @2-3% and D3 runs @0-2% @ 4.4GHz; I can boost it up to 4.8 on liquid cooling if it gets bad

Even at peak, they might be 4-5% together, which means that I can easily run 16-18+OS

>You can do all that on a GTX460
>I'm on a GTX590, and I can't even open up two VLCes over my two screen, without the FPS of my movie dropping to 0.

:(

Pretty sure it's a driver issue however, started when I reinstalled windows. I really need to reinstall again to fix it, but, meh.

So the question about the right right GPU is really interesting for me becuae I am looking to buy a new card. So which card do I really need to run 1 D3 on max settings and two instances in the background to bot?

good thing about bot is, they don't care what the game looks like so put the other 2 sessions on all lowest settings possible with no options enabled, then run the one your playing on at the settings you like for eye candy....don't think it would take too much to do this.

just a good amount of ram is all I would think.

What do you think is the right Mount of RAM for 5 sessions?

D3 is taking up about 690mb alone, then demonbuddy is using about 163mb according to my resource monitor in win7

so for 5 sessions thats about 4265mb which is 4.16GB RAM usage for 5 diablo clients + 5 demonbuddy sessions

So it seems that 6GB should be fine for 5 sessions.

Any preference for 7970 or GTX570?

6 would be pushing it I think....my OS is 1.7gb ram, then 5 sessions would put ya at 5.8gb. i'd get 8 to be safe, ram is cheap anyway.

i have a
AM3 X6 1055t underclocked from 6x2,8 to 6x2,3Ghz
4x4GB DDR3 RAM
AMD XFX HD6950

running 3 client db and d3 smooth with
35% cpu load
5/16GB ram load
25~30% gfx load

my machine is drawing 200Watt peak for now

that 24/7 based approx 5 KilowattHours dailys

next upgrade will be
ssd
and some quiet fan's

Only 1.7? Windows 7 64bit for me uses 3GB on a fresh install, unless I disable AERO/etc.

you must have a ton of crap loading on startup or something....I have skype, diablo 3 x1, demonbuddy x1, malware bytes full protection, eset security suite, ati utilities, kodak printer and 2 instances of chrome browser opened and I'm not even breaking 2.5gb ram in use....I'm using full aero, and all that jazz. then again I religiously monitor all my services running & processes and kill unused stuff. :D

I can run 5-6 without lag the CPU is the bottle neck for me.

I wanna build a PC that can run 8-10 just not sure if the AMD FX-8150 can pull it off.
