Completely understandable.If we do provide lifetime subs, it will be backdated just like it was for Honorbuddy. The current plan is to see if EA/BioWare itself has a long term commitment to making the game a full MMO. This would involve providing level 50 content instead of the present "Hit 50 and start rolling alts" model. If they don't and the game fades away like Rift did, Lifetime subs would be a real pain for us.

I must say I don't entirely agree on the "hit 50 and start rolling alts" vision. There is actually quite a lot of endgame content (heroics, operations, dailies) but sadly not enough people to team up with. I share your hopes that this will improve.
