[Bot] Prosto_Pets: Battle Pets 4 in 1, and more

Guys don't ever try to level less than 8-10 pets. Don't lock teams.

Add all the pets you want to currently level to favorite and turn those options on.

You want a rotation. Your heal/revive ability is an 7/8 minute cooldown outside Draenor.

When pets die that can't be rotated your are wasting time. It is just as fast to find a good amount and let them role constantly rotating and being healed and leveling along the way.

If you have a level 25 you can do a ringerx1 and swamp of sorrow or duskwallow marsh get your other pets to level 7 and roll into a level 25 zone and ringer x2 after that.

Thank you. I have already downloaded the Prosto_Pets bot.
Now I have another problem. As far I understood it's in a game language. Is there any way to resolve this problem, or I have no chance to use Prosto_Pets bot if I play on Russian server?

All of the pets are stored by name in english, and all of the abilities are stored in english as well, for ~600 pets.

converting the names to russian isn't necessary to get it to work (not because that wouldn't work, it could work.)

What is required is to use the number/ID instead of the name for all of the pets, abilities, auras and debuffs. The conversion process is just very tedious to run through, and there's no way to really do this without modifying the core of Prosto_Pets code.

I have suggested something before (30 pages back) A single "interpreter" stack loaded when the bot looks at the buff's ID using LUA, this could be the equivalent of a dictionary/index of known ID numbers. When the game sends the names of pets via LUA results, the game can also return numeric ID's. The same can be done with pet abilities, auras and some LUA values, which are stored as numbers rather than names.

The index/interpreter would then convert the ID to english results for the rest of the logic to work with, effectively translates the pet ID or ability ID to an english name for the logic to use, it could also translate any of the log text used, or logging any missing or unknown abilities, pets, buffs, debufffs or auras it doesn't recognise to a separate file/webform if people elect to enable reporting and uploading. this way, if there's a mistake in the numbers, a new pet is added, or a patch changes something it can be noted, and quickly fixed.

The alternative is translating all of the 600 different pet names, abilities and spell/debuff/weather formats to the localised language of each supported client, and having to update several copies of the same bot for every language.

or, not doing it at all. Until there's support for this in the main core, it's a low priority.

useful for non-english clients or supporting the differences in the ch/mx/ru/de/eu clients. And it's really hard to troubleshoot without volunteers or example clients to see if it works as intended.

Can you please explain into what values i have set the levels and % to max performance for leveling pets?
I have 3 lvl 25 for ringer, but iam not sure if i understand the settings

I just got this yesterday and very good work.... My question is if I wanted to farm the unborn val'kry and there is already profiles floating around for this but in GB2 how would I go about this?

To farm a specific pet over such a large area... you need whitelist/blacklist features which haven't been implemented as of yet.

a custom profile (like the GB2 one from last year) could be edited/created with only the 27 spawn points (3 of each in 9 zones) as nodes, but, performance could not be guaranteed to work, as prosto likes to swap profiles when in a new zone. eg

Without real testing, the old gather profile should work from the other thread, but it could also be tailored a bit. yes, it will dither and fight all along the way, instead of hang out at that one specific spawn point, which could be a distraction if on CRZ's with other pet 'battlers. make sure you have 15+ level pets to capture the valkyr, as one of the breeds likes to use haunt early, making a capture near-impossible if you kill the enemy pets too soon. you may need to do this manually, i.e. to hit "pass turn" and wait for haunt to expire so you can fight/trap the pet normally, otherwise it will be effectively dead until the effect expires.

all that aside, it's a possibility with selective "programming" of the spawn locations. and, as HBFanboy1980 said, a whitelist would be nice to have too.

Yup I used the GB2 profile with plugin a long time ago to get my Valks.

I honestly can't imagine how long that would take to complete a loop of all the locations, but yes it would in fact work.

might be worth it... unborn valk is kind of a must have pet unless you have one of the alternatives.

Will this allow me to afk level my pets 1-25? I currently have no level 25 pets and was hoping to find some way to level at least one to 25 without having to do it myself, then I can do the boost thing by using lowbies in my other two slots etc.

Absolutely, but if you want to do things most expediently. I have stolen a step by step for you which saves me saying the same thing. I won't post the link because I don't like blizzard sites getting to see where that user came from (referrer)

Step 1. Get any rare-quality level 1 Mechanical pet (you'll see why), preferably 2-3 of them. Examples: Clockwork Gnome, Darkmoon Tonk, and Darkmoon Zeppelin. If not going to the PTR, just create a level 1 Gnome on some Latin American/Brazilian realms and capture 3 different Fluxfire Felines (uncommon or higher). They work best, but you can use other stuff too.

Step 2. Level your level 1 Mechanicals to level 4 in your starting capital while doing your introduction Pet Battle quests (up until the one that makes you fight a tamer).

Step 3. Battle your first tamer. You should easily beat her with only using one pet, so do not switch to other pets for no reason. After the fight, your main pet should be level 5. Now fly to your second tamer and do the same. Your main pet should now be level 6 (though if you had to use 2 pets for that tamer and it isn't quite 6 yet, it's still fine).

Step 4. Go to Deadwind Pass and battle a level 17 Arcane Eye. Hopefully yours is Poor or Common quality, if not you may want to forfeit depending on your pets. With a Fluxfire Feline, you can take anything because it is just that freaking good (my level 6 Fluxfire Feline beat a level 18 uncommon Arcane Eye 1v1), but otherwise just be careful. If you fail, just use a bandage from one of your two pet reward sacks (smrt, huh). Anyway, capture the Arcane Eye in any way possible. Mechanicals are resistant to Magic damage and the Eyes tend to Eyeblast spam mostly (nothing you can do when they Gaze, just suffer the lost turn).

Step 5. Capture more Arcane Eyes. MOAR AND MOAR EYES! I would get 3 level 16-17 Uncommon or higher Arcane Eyes under my belt if I were you, but if you can't be picky (i.e. your CRZ is unusually low on them atm or something) it will still work. Your lineup should be straight Arcane Eyes and they should use the build Focused Beams, Drain Power, and Interrupting Gaze. Use Interrupting Gaze on CD and spam Focused Beams; use Drain Power if the enemy is stronger than you or has a good move coming up.

Step 6. Go to the Dragonblight and find one of the huge dragon skeletons out in the waste areas. There are at least 6-8 Dragonblight Condors at each skeleton on a super fast respawn. Engage the packs of level 22-23 Dragonblight Condors and back out immediately if you feel you can't take the adds. You want a group with 1-2 Poor or Common quality pets and preferably 2 Flying pets (your Arcane Eyes do bonus damage to Flying types). Capture at least 2 Uncommon or better Dragonblight Condors in this way before moving on to the next step (you can leave the third slot as an Arcane Eye to deal with Flying types if you wish). Remember you can use the nearby Stable Master at Wrymrest Temple for easy healing.

Step 7. Go to the Vale of Eternal Blossoms. Armed with your new army of Dragonblight Condors (moveset Slicing Winds, Adrenaline Rush, and Lift-Off), fight the roaming bands of Eternal Striders that border and sometimes cover the lakes and rivers in the zone. Five out of seven of the pets in the zone are Aquatic (weak to your Flying type Moths) and the other two types of pets in the zone are Flying (weak to your Magic type Arcane Eyes), so most of the time you will fight 3x Aquatic packs or 2x Aquatic 1x Flying packs. You can grind from level 23 to level 25 here in 10 minutes, easily. As always, use the stable master nearby at the capital if you need it.

You win! Now, hopefully more people will jump onboard the PTR bandwagon since they can have a lot of their favorite pets there now at level 25 in no time at all (Anubisath Idol, Magical Crawdad, Emerald Whelpling, etc).

TL;DR version: Level Mechanicals to level 5, use them to capture level 17 Arcane Eyes in Deadwind Pass, use them to capture level 23-25 Garden Moths in Jade Forest, grind with your Garden Moths against the Eternal Striders in Vale, win.

If you have one level 24, you need to do ringerx1 and make sure you set the health percentage to swap out the boosted pets at something sensible, I just normally say 100% so it swaps them out as soon as possible, but I ususaly do ringerx2 and use 2 high level pets, that way I can fight in high level zones without problems.

how is your setup then exactly? becouse when i do that it only uses the high level pet without sending the low level one in to attack once or so to get the xp

As far as I'm aware the ringer should be in the first slot, so that it goes out first. As long as it's been on the battlefield it gets EXP.

Think of the ringer is the max/higher level pet (I know I know, but its easier to relate to when setting it up.). The leveling pet needs to go first for power leveling. You just set the swapout HP % at 99.
