Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. filed an interim injunction to stop sales of DB [Update]

I've gone through a few pages of this post and it still isn't clear to me whether whoever bought DB will be able to continue using it. Since, you know, they forbade you guys from selling it, not allowing it to function (from what I have read).

From the legal post "acting personally or though any foreign company to offer software and / or distribute or support ..."

So the question that Bossland has to ask itself is: Would you be willing to bet EU 250,000.00 (around $317K per offense) that the word SUPPORT does not include running the navigation servers necessary to "support" this software?

Granted, I don't speak German (and my attempts to use translate.google.com did not result in anything very legible), but I think it might be a bad business decision to make such a bet. Particularly because (if the German legal system is anything like the US) injunctions of this nature usually require a hearing in front of the judge within days.

Good luck with your case guys, I really hope you win - I find your devotion to your product encouraging.

Now I just need to find something else to occupy my very addictive personality for the next week or so while this all gets worked out!

Blizz should stop worrying with other companies' software and start more worrying about theirs, diablo's got some pretty messed up things not to talk about the constant patches that are finishing the game after it has been released...shame on blizz.

Only reason I play time consuming games like blizzard's have is cause bossland's been cool enough to balance the gap between no life farmers and those that have a couple of hours to play in a week and prefere to have fun with them instead of farming some useless shit just to get somewhere after a month.

Full support for Bossland here.

...Granted, I don't speak German...

Get Rosetta Stone, not telling you in what way to do it tho :P

Learn German.

maybe someone "random" can release a "leak" on this forums that has local navigation... if u catch my drift :D

Hey,

I heard the Bossland team have recently started selling drugs... maybe you could try there?

Wait so, when this happened with honorbuddy, I dont recall it completely shutting down the bot, so why is this incident any different? How couldnt they just shut off HB with a court order, like they are doing now? Why wouldnt it have to go through a case, and verdict etc

No. The buddy team holds the source code for the bot. If any of this was to leak, especially with an updated version, they would get fucked.

I think their whole strategy will revolve around the RMAH and the impact bots will have in the REAL WORLD.

Insinuating somebody breaks an active injunction is a serious offense; punishable by the full extent of the law that may or not lead to criminal offense and 5 year jail sentence.

but didnt it go down for a few days and then once the court date was pushed out for the actual case it was let be to go on its own ?

We are waiting on a second lawyers opinion, and we will make sure that i do not break the rules of the court order, which is the most important thing right now.

They allways might be some hackers who steal your code and "leak" this into the web, just saying :P

gogo m?dels! ich denke nicht, dass die damit durchkommen... immerhin sind wir nicht in amerika wo leute wegen "katzen in der mikrowelle" hersteller auf millionen verklagen.
dr?ck euch auch die daumen :)
