Blizzard Can Detect Honorbuddy! Im Sorry But Its Clearly True!!!

Obviously the bot isn't detected itself, the profiles are, or the way honorbuddy bots, something is wrong, Was botting 1-600 professions for days, and my first day of gathering mop mats I got banned. Even my first ban ever is a permanent ban, I appealed it and it said in the email that I was unbanned and the ticket said I was still banned, way to give false hope blizzard <_<

I won't bot on my other account for months.

wrong this is new, but you hb fanboys wont admit it.

the bot isnt detected, but the way it move aka profiles - paths IS!

there is something detectable, i dont care who says what.

to many players incl me now getting a perma ban on first offense.

had 7 appeals now, all kinda said, we know it now shut up allr.

never was this clear!
 
Still an US matter or EU? since im botting 12 accounts like 22/7 and no bans at all following the same routine and shit
 
I can Confirm that FFS.... 1 day ago i was suspended for boting with my main account while i was doing my dailies (with bot) and 10 mins ago...i decided to go and make a tost (previously i was playing by hand) and i decided to make the bot do a bg in the meantime... when i came from the kitchen (after 5 mins) i was dced and the account was suspended too for 3 days! that cannot be cause of reporting...and the character was new lvl 20ish... either honnorbuddy is serious trackable now or blizz somehow was monitoring my pc/ram for 3rd party programs???........now im fucked...the suspend from the first account is not even done yet....

btw this happend on EU server.

I don't say it is fact but what if they want to ban as many as possible? If you know there is a ban wave you stop botting. Your account gets flagged and you get banned a week a month later. That is what I would do. But again can't be sure of any of these
 
Well, not gonna spread bogus or common sense.. all we know BGbuddy and Questing is now fucked.
But, atm since my last ban ( 2 days ago, for 5 hrs in BG´s overnight), im leveling my new accs only via DungeonBuddy and some grinding.
Nothing happened yet, so i assume these could be only the safe ways how to level.. untill someone decide make something about that random mesh following, GB2, Questing and BGb will be red-taped for us.

Gradual banning also results in more people re-buying accounts vs a mass ban with strong perceived detection risk. it seems clear to me new detection and/or response methods have been either developed or, more likely, allowed to be used more aggressively. At the same time, there are still folks running multiple bots with very high hours/day usage not being banned.

also as has been speculated elsewhere, blizzard recently concluded their legal arguments in the case vs. bossland, perhaps this is simply sending a message at a level we are oblivious to.

my first account was banned yesterday while i was botting ,questing dailies. and the second account banned today about the same hour in 5 minutes bg botting while i was in the kitchen making a tost. in 5 minutes!! it cant be coinsidence..i believe that somehow my second account was flagged because its RAF with the first one that gotted banned yesterday and they were scaning somehow my pc/ram/exes to check. cause there is no other explanation that someone was spying me in game to check when im gona enable the bot to "catch me".. it was something automatic. i dont think they can monitoring each and every account 24/7 that would be very demanding on resources by their end.. i believe though that because i was flagged for botting with the raf account they enabled the debug/spyware on my pc to check when im gonna enable the bot..and when i did..they banned me imidiately..

Actually it is logical. Let me break it down so that terminology improves:

HB being detectable means specifically that Warden (Blizzard's tool for finding cheats) can detect that you are using HB. The methods HB uses have (so far) prevented it from being detected during scans.

Once the bot is in use, mannerisms it causes in game (like the unstuck procedure, or getting stuck on simple doors, or everyone running from the same point in BG to the exact same location) allow people to see that you are doing -something- odd. They report you. GMs inspect the report and come find you to see if they can see the same behavior.

Blizz accepts those judgements ... but the bot software itself was not specifically detected. Which means it is possible to adjust logic in the bot to continue botting more safely.

To a technical write up of ways to get busted botting ... it DOES matter on the language used. To someone who just got nailed, no, they feel no matter what the bot was "detected" but that usually isn't the case. If Blizz could detect the bot in a programmatic manner, then we wouldn't even be having this conversation, because by now they would have shut it down entirely.
 
if it was detectable by warden we never know if they would likely ban everyone for using it. cause the number of bots would be really high..which means lots of money for them. they ban those that are not very careful or those that are exposed by reporters... if you do it very right they dont seem to care..and why should they? you give them money..

I got my main account perm banned today, over 3 mio gold on that (2 mio selfmade without bot), 8 yrs old.
The reason was third party... I only bottet about an hour a day with a selfmade profile for smelting ghost iron ore & mailing.
I actually saw my bann but wasnt fast enough, I got portet to a strange location 3 seconds later account was dead...

After reading through several different forums i think one thing is clearly true:

The programm HB itself cannot be detectet by blizzard, but the way it moves, if you always do the same shit, you'll get somekind of flagged.
If you do the some movement patterns again and again, doesnt matter if public profile or not (but chances are a lot higher with public)
a gm i going to watch you, teleport you, if you move like a stucked bot or something, u'll get a ban for third party

PS: First ban ever on that account, irreversible, also talked to a senior gm.

Neh, I think his sarcasm was justified. It doesn't really matter if Warden / Blizzard can detect the bot running on the computer or not when so many of the actions taken by the bot in-game are so easily identified. Movement and anti-stuck really is a _huge_ issue.
 
I have been thinking about this, but please forgive my ignorance as I have only really just come on the scene. Everybody is talking about custom profiles and public profiles. The one question I have to ask is are the custom profiles actually using a new mesh or the same mesh that the public profiles are on? If people are just creating a new questing profile but using the old mesh surely it will still move over the exact same points time and time again?
 
Profiles for gathering not questing - You can make your own hotspots for gathering.
