So Me like most here was banned i made a ticket with tricky question i got answer
"When running, the Diablo 3 client may monitor your computer's random access memory (ram) and/or cpu processes for unauthorized third party programs running concurrently with Diablo 3. An unauthorized third party program as used herein shall be defined as any third party software, including without limitation any addon or mod, that in Blizzard Entertainment's sole determination:

I. enables or facilitates cheating of any type;

II. allows users to modify or hack the Diablo 3 interface, environment, and/or experience in any way not expressly authorized by Blizzard Entertainment; or

III. intercepts, mines, or otherwise collects information from or through Diablo 3. In the event that Diablo 3 detects an unauthorized third party program"

So developers, I think demonbuddy.exe in process should be renamed and camouflage to other program

got banned 3/3 too :(
bliz just need to record your mouse position and you're done :( how can you play 18/24 but your mouse is not moving and your keyboard is not typing at all .

Faazylav, its been discussed already zillions of times. Blizz could and would not do anything, breaking privacy, or they risk a worldwide spread lawsuit against them, which is much more than several thousand botting accounts in one of the smallest games in their market portfolio (Yes, D3 is nothing, compared to WoW and SCII in moneymaking point of view)

we need encryption for this process, or block scan from D3 process... i dont know im not devlopper...
I block blizzarderror / DB and YAR with my firewall, i dont update , never update...
Btw i also rename demonbuddy.exe to photoshop.exe and yar to notepad.exe but this think do NOTHING, im banned 2/2 :)

wtf???is this possibile??they cant do that..they cant violate our privacy right..

I renamed the .exe and still got banned. This doesn't work.

They can only scan the RAM that is used by D3/WoW/GameInQuestion. They can not scan outside of that processes space. That aside, you very well could be leaving some kind of digital footprint that they have been able to spot. It might not even say what bot, just that something was being intrusive in the RAM that was not suppose to be.

They can certainly do it. They can get a list of running processes and check to see if the hash matches a hash of a known bad process. If they match they've found the bad process without reading anything private. The whole demonbuddy.exe thing in processlist doesn't really matter though.

DB uses similar methods as rootkits and trojans in that it hooks windows api calls (like the one used to get a list of running processes) and replaces it with custom code (eg. do exactly the same thing but remove demonbuddy.exe from the process list)

has nothing to do with the name of the exe

Blizzard is not allowed to search / scan out of the used memory of Diablo III.

Read EULA, and you accept this, when entering the game.

Btw, just interesting about what happen. They've banned only bots from DB, all bots, where in game (even, who logged on bot once and seems got marked as bot). But they didn't made a wave to HB.

So, it was always not to safe to bot, but now we can get banned even for single bot :)

no bans for HB ? only for DB ? i read some private bot users are banned too, like rush4bot too... no hb banned here ?

While you read the EULA go read contractual law.

You can accept a contract all day long, if the contract is illegal it is null and void. The EULA wants to do something that is basically against most privacy laws/rights. So it would never hold up.

Well, me and some of myne friends are botting on HB and everything is OK. Some old accounts, i was logging on HB are ok now. Only diablo got banned. (i had bo in d3 and wow in same battlenet account).

But i think, for wow they decideed not to ban, because, they are earning money from me, and no money in D3. The horrorable support, DB errors (when they lost a character and couldn't recover it etc.(only after several hours discussing with 3 langeage support we've successed.)) proves this.

Blizz is not the 1-st company practising this. As example in Russia we have Innova, which is doing the same. And you can do nothing with this. You'r accepting EULA and what they will do. This practice (scanning your PC) is more than 4 years old. Just enjoy.

You also do realize that Law from Russia does not matter when the company is based out of California, at least not to those based in the same Country.

Well. I really do not want to discuss it much, but in US you have no chanses against EULA. If you show me at least 1 precedence, when in US you won against company, when you've accepted terms of EULA, i will change myne opinion.

I believe the way demonbuddy works is via packets, so even tho your visual mouse isn't moving, but server side your mouse is.
