[PAID] BGFarmer - An Advanced Battleground Bot Base

well i tested this bot in ashran aswel, it stand and do nothink. untill enemy come closer then starts atack like attack bot. if u die u move to corpse without resurection
if u fix this i would like to buy this bot
 
New version has been approved, Ashran should be somewhat useable. It's not ideal, but it's better than it just standing still acting AFK.
 
Check your dismount settings - make sure it's set to dismount when attacked.



That happens because of your monitors resolution and windows display scaling. I'll need to redesign the GUI at some point in the near future to fix this.

Ashran; This is more troublesome than I'd hoped for. As players are no longer shown on the map (possibly just a pre-patch bug?) the bot doesn't know where the rest of the group is. Not sure if blizzard have commented on this as to whether it'll be getting changed or not.

Working on the worst case scenario that it's staying as it is - I'll need to change the logic to something like move to active event locations and hope it finds the group on the way.

The AV logic is just completely flawed. Bot runs into big groups, never hangs around the biggest group of people and always try to manmode for the Frostwolf Towers (I disabled all other towers, as I play a resto druid)
How about a switch for all towers, even the ones in the base and making the bot stick around the big group instead of manning up? I bot with a resto druid and this is just making it plainly obvious that this is a bot.

Not trying to be rude, but I think this needs to be Overhauled... I was just watching it the other day for about 8 matches of BG's and in Strand it just stood there and did nothing (twice) for 2 minutes near the boats..

Then there was a AV where literally this thing just did what ever the hell and died so much it was depressing. It would just run into death half the time never fighting, whats up with that???

Then there is AB, omg... It would literally leave the stables flag constantly... It would be defending it, and then just run off for no reason at all... and then run back randomly. In that course though the base was taken twice.

Another weird thing it was doing was for some reason in SSmines it would run around and leave bases and only fight when there was no way it could win, it ignored 1 guy on flag to fight 5 guys on mid flag... like come on...


Look, I am not trying to be rude, I am just saying, you need to stop waiting for us to post and just look into this stuff and watch it. I can't remember the name but the one where you carry the flag that isn't warsong ( Twin Peaks I think). Holy shit man, it ran near the allie GY (I am allie) Like 20 times, back and forth, and back and forth, and back and forth. Come on bro, you can't tell me you don't see these things happening? If need be, I will record some of these and prove it if I have too, there has been many a time I have brought this to here and I feel like it's going ignored because you don't want to overhaul it. I am not telling you how to run your product, I am just trying to help, but considering I have said this like 3 times, I think proof is going to have to be in order for this to ever get looked at.

Mind you, I am not being rude, I just want to see some stuff fixed.

Started work on a new GUI which will fix this issue. It'll take a while though as it's not very high priority (and it's a fairly laborious task to rebuild a GUI).

Yeah agree that makes more sense for a healer just to stick with the pack. Possibly even just move to closest cluster of friendly players that has more than X number of players there - i.e. no need to move to the biggest pack, but if there's a group of 6-10 players then go to them.

I'll add a setting for that. It's on my to-do list.

No worries, appreciate the honest feedback. I try to respond to every post, but sometimes there just isn't enough information to look into. Recreating bugs is also very time consuming - so it can take a while to fix stuff. I could do with getting some new beta testers going in the discord channel to speed things up a bit.

Also worth noting that a lot of data BGFarmer relied on in WoD got removed in the 7.0 patch (which I wasn't expecting), so there's a lot of bugs likely going to relate to the quick patch fixing I did on the back of that.

Onto the issues;

- SotA: Were you attacking or defending in the round at the point it was idling? Where exactly was it standing? Next to bombs trying to pick them up or something?
- AV: I think my response above to this - moving to friendly cluster of players will make a big difference here.
- AB: This can depend on your options. Do you have defending enabled? I'll add some logic to do a final scan of the area for enemies before leaving for a different base.
- Silvershard Mines - leaving bases? This is the one with the mine carts that doesn't have bases?
- Twin Peaks - Running back and forth - definitely need a log file with time for this one. Chances are it's a meshing/nav issue. You could try enabling the custom navigator option in the GUI (which uses my navigator instead of HB's) - but I'd only use that if you're sitting watching it. I don't trust it enough to leave it AFK.

Log files, with a note of the time where issues happen make a huge difference to how fast I can resolve stuff.

I meant the carts, it would go to a cart and for some reason wouldn't go to a cart with one person, it would u-turn, and then go to a cart with 4-5 and fight 1v5... It would leave me speechless on the logic, I couldn't figure out why it would do this.

Made the following changes so far (not pushed public yet);

- [Silvershard Mines] Will now stick closer to the mine carts, and move to keep up with them faster.
- [Silvershard Mines] If we're already close to a cart, regardless of who controls it - will now stick with that cart.
- [Alterac Valley] If we're closer to end boss than the last non base tower (TP / IB), bot now focuses on end boss.
- [Alterac Valley] While running to next POI - will participate in fights which have 5 or more friendly units there.
 
Should I wait until the changes get trough? I am currently leveling an alt to do BG farming for marks of honor with this botbase.

There's always changes to the logic, you'd be waiting forever if you always waited until the next build :)

it keeps spamming me to select a role and wont queue up

What are you trying to sign up to? If you do it manually the first time it'll probably save the setting and continue to use that going forward.
 
The auto chat feature allows you to send a message at the start of a battleground, its very good but at strand of the ancients it sends the message at the very start, but also at the second round of the same bg. Could you adjust this?

I'll disable it in SotA for now and look at it again later. Agree that looks suspect.
 
A new public build has been pushed to the store, and is currently awaiting approval from the Bossland GmbH staff. This can take up to 3 business days.

- [Domination] Will no longer wander around at the base we're defending.
- [Domination] Will no longer leave a base if there's an enemy unit within 100yds.
- [Strand of the Ancients] Disabled greeting (chat message) for this BG. Bot believes round switch is a new BG which caused it to greet twice. Too suspicious.

isle of the conquest has the same issue then the other flag capture bgs, bot went to the flag, but nothing happend even if there is nobody or the flag owened by the other faction, he wont tap :(

at deepwind the bot also doesnt tap.

BGFarmer] Pandarenmine (controlled by the enemy) appears to be undefended. Moving to capture.
[BGFarmer] Mounting Up: ockerfarbenes skelettschlachtross

He kills the enemy which captured our flag, then he regonize and runs away without taping.

Millz, BGfarmer dont use fly mounts?

I bought some boosters (legion) and they just have Fly mount, and bgfarmer dont use.. they walk.. dont use fly mount..
 
Is it possible thtat the movment way in combat is currently totally worse? I just start with a demonhunter and ThuanHa profile for sure with moving and targeting with millz.
It happens very often that the Hunter starts a fight and when the other player runs away he simply stays at his point and does not follow, then he recalculate and black spot and perhaps change the target.

Is it not possible that he follows one target and not stays so much there and caluclates, you know more movment. :)

btw. only play Battlegrounds not Ashran.

Just had the issue that he was defanding the flag as 2 players attack, he starts to fight and after a while he simply run away, he doesnt die, he simply let them pass, there was also another player and he ask me if i would be stupid, what the fuck im doing.

Are you using movement in the bot base or the combat routine? If it's the CR then it's the CR that has the fault.
