[BETA] ArchaeologyBuddy - An Archaeology Bot (with flying)

Status
Not open for further replies.
You had me until you said "difficult". It just annoys me that blizzard puts in these awful timesinks of repetitive grinding for some shiny rewards at the end.....oh wait, thats the whole premise of the modern mmorpg....

# v1.0.0.502

* Flight logic is improved yet again. Its a lot more clever now. Climbing over mountains should be fixed.
* New anti-stuck behavior for trees and such objects during flight.
* It will no longer land on buildings, rocks etc.
* It now loads an empty profile upon starting bot.
* Mounting in water is improved.
* Nerubian and Vrykul artifacts are now supported.
* Druids will now use flight form regardless of survey distance

Used Version: v1.0.0.517

Stuck-Detection doesn't work properly (heavy problems in Arathi Highlands, Thoradin's Wall)
It still lands on buildings
The Plugin doesn't realize that it can't use "Survey" at "this place" (standing on a building, some feets beside the frontier of a Dig Site)

But all in all it works fine and safed me many time :) good work so far... try to fix the little bugs pls, than it's perfect (for me)

i dont remember it being any different from any other mmo i ever played. unless you are expecting developers to release new content every other week there is no possible way to get around time sinks such as these. Hell even achievements are just time sinks in disguise... who the hell NEEDS explorer title :s

I didnt imply that it was any different. I'm just getting tired of the same formula over and over again.
I'm hopeful the old republic will be a nice change, but I've said that about every mmo to come out in the last 5+ years. Honestly the main reason i'm botting is because i find it more enjoyable than actually playing the game at this point.

IT doesn't seem to be able to mount up and fly up a slope that is too steep to climb up if the object is nearby.

Any word on an update on this bot? Been a week and he was doing one or 2 per day... lol

Go back a page and you will see his message, raphus is working hard on this. And am sure he fixed alot of the bugs from the last release. Give him some time :)

Is it only for LIFETIME users ?
My flying mount dismount ~~

as asked million times now, at the moment you can only use it with lifetime and flying mounts but the next version coming the next hours will support ground mounts too.

Ok, sorry, i haven't been active on forums lately.
I would be judicious to write it on first post for dumb users like me :)
Thx for the good new !

i think he would say
It would be judicious to write it on first post for dumb users like me
(it's better to write this in the first post for dumb users like him^^ (and me of course))

what does judicious mean?

english - second language

its a good idea !!!

dictionary def.. is

–adjective
1.
using or showing judgment as to action or practical expediency; discreet, prudent, or politic: judicious use of one's money.
2.
having, exercising, or characterized by good or discriminating judgment; wise, sensible, or well-advised: a judicious selection of documents.

Bug

It sometimes does this when I'm on my druid. It goes into travel form, and then the exceptions start spamming.

Nice start, but this is hardly AFKable right now.. I have to fix it at just about every dig site I go to, and I've only tested in Kalimdor so far (where the OP said it was thoroughly tested). I find that it will get itself stuck behind buildings with no foreseeable path out. It will also get itself right at the edge of a digsite and sit there spamming "You can't use that here". It will also not mount up and fly up a slope that it cannot "run" up - thus getting itself stuck at very easily navigated spots if it would just mount up and try again.

Thanks for the effort, but I think I'll wait until something a little more usable comes out.

Have you read any of the previous post mate ? :p

I'll assume you're talking to me. The answer is - Yes, I have read *some* of the previous posts. Have I read through all 122 pages of this thread? Absolutely not. If you have pertinent information, how about pointing me in that direction.

OP never said it was thoroughly tested in Kalimdor only that it was tested in Kalimdor.

You may not have read the revisions per release but it mentions the ongoing issues with nav meshing and different bugs that were reoccurring. To be honest you could have read ever 5th page and you would have seen a long list of the bugs that Raph is trying to sort out. and if you go back 3 or 4 pages you would have seen that a new release is soon to be out which hopefully fixes alot of bugs. As its still in beta it should have been reasonable to expect this wouldnt be afk'able. If your finding bugs why dont you post some logs like the rest of us?

Well alot of the pages is pointing to that it is not AFK-able atm and there is alot of bugs. Figures as it has been out for about only a week. Raphus posted about 2-3 pages back that a new release will be out in a few hours (probably today or tomorrow) with all the posted bugs fixed. The " effort " he made in this past week is outstanding IMO. When I saw the release of Cataclysm and Archaeology with it, I thought " this will never be bot-able " but what do you know raph did it. Cut him some slack and the time, he will get there :)

EDIT: Ceduna beat me to it :p
