Have you ever worked in networking/Security EVER??? this is how things work, you make something you wait for it to be found out or worked around/hacked into (IT WILL HAPPEN IT WILL not if but when) then you apply counter measures to make sure that cannot happen again, now if blizz tries the same thing they will have a harder time not saying it won't work but will be tough again. Next time they will likely try something else they will need to search and search and yea it will prolly work, then HB will need to make another countermeasure.


In the end it never ends, don't bot on an account you care about IT WILL BE BANNED not a matter of IF but WHEN, unless you are crazy lucky. This is how online world works NOTHING online is safe, if you put it online people can hack it, finds it's IP or IP range and exploit it, developers see that and make changes UPDATES, same thing why my company makes new firewalls and software updates, vulnerabilities will be found and patched we won't know about them until the issue happens so we can fix it.


How can you expect HB to know this is how blizz would search to banning bots, they know how it happened now and applied measures, that's it now we wait and see for the next attempt which will happen again NOT IF but WHEN, do.......not......bot.......on......an......important......account......

You did your best, as your client from day one. I can't say a single bad thing about HB, I've seen HB growing, evolving and kicking some real ass like nothing else. And to those impulsive crying fuckers in this forum, botting is against the game rules, it always was, and it always will be, it doesn't matter what you think. Fairly disappointed by the statements made from the team. There's a lot of underlying facts already known about the detection process, and we had all hoped that the team would publicly acknowledge that process detection was happening and that they were working to go the rootkit route to finally fix the main issue. Instead we are again given a blanket statement regarding tripwire. I feel like either the dev team doesn't want to be transparent with us, or someone or some company is forcing them to keep quiet and keep using the tripwire excuses.

Things we know currently(facts based on sourced information from blizzard , confirmed findings through the use of HB, and announcements made by the dev team):
- IP detection of Tripwire is happening and being bypassed
- PIDs are being detected and logged through the warden system (no it does not mean renaming the program fixes it, PID information is at a lower level along with mem hook information)
- the 32bit approach is limiting safe routes for both injection and functionality (simple programming knowledge)
- Player reports are not the main cause of bans currently, 3rd party detection is (see above reasons)

What does this mean for us as end users? The same as it has for the past year or so since the waves picked up. Nothing has changed as far as usage goes, since botting is botting and the risk is still there. Obviously it is now much higher due to the data we already know about, and that is just part of the game with blizzard. Some things the devs have no control over, and just as they said it's a cat and mouse game while other things can be remedied fairly quickly given they have the team size to support such transitions at this time.

You mean Blizzard is banning accounts just because they are connectet to the tripwire service?

Try to contact blizzard to make an agreement like open a new wow server just for botters, so that atleast the ppl who dont want to make a money with the bot are safe. If they use the bot only on this server. Since you cant transfer items or money to other servers this would be perfect for all lazy ppl.

Btw i got banned and was never direct connectet with tripwire server...

You don't have to read the ToS to understand that any *****ing will result in a BAN. Even HB says don't use the bot if you're not willing to risk getting banned. You're all a bunch of children that need to stop complaining every time you get banned. Honorbuddy has been one of the only long standing bots out there and nothing is perfect. I feel as if every one who is crying about being banned should get muted for a couple of days. I understand you are pissed off but come on... really stop and think for a second that you're asking a *****ing program to be 100% safe.

Guys we need to face the fact that HB will never be safe , not going on any sides here but you gotta deal with this of ur acc got banned ether u quit or make a new one a d keep botting , i know is hard cus i lost my 1st acc a year back and it was a 7 years old acc and i learn from that to not get attached to a botting acc or simply not to do it , this time blizz got around HB and took alot of us out , doesnt matter how it happened it just did , thia are tne risk of using the tool , now i know the staff team is always trying to give us a safe bot and i hope some day the will , but for now we gotta deal with banwaves , GL and if ur going to keep playing wow keep this in mind.

You can't trace or stack trace the program to a specific address of memory or see incoming or outgoing packets? How do you not read what Blizz is doing?

Such bullshit. I know now i can't ever rely on this bot ever again. It's done. If you like dumping money into something you're going to lose I guess it's "worth it"? Nahhh.... BULLSHIT!

This bot is done. Unless you completely rewrite the code to detect stuff and avoid it completely which would probably be a dead give away also... yeah it's done. Say goodbye to HB. The output doesn't outweigh the input when it comes to money.

You're right. But in this case they should stop to praise the Tripwire system. The only time it was activated in time, it was a false-positive...

Saying "all" is a bit overzealous. Looking at the current posts I see a few that are kind of hateful but the rest are constructive and offer questions or comments in a non threatening manor.

Don't talk unless you know what you're talking about. Warden ALWAYS changes and blizzard has been fighting a battle against Honorbuddy and BOTS in general for a long time. Don't you think they are coming up with new ways of detecting botters? Honorbuddy team doesn't want to say how they think it was done unless they are 100% sure. They won't make a claim saying, "Oh this is how it was done" when it just happened yesterday things like this take time. Even if they find out they probably won't tell the public and find a new way of getting around blizzards new detection method.
