For those of you who don't know how to code please listen up:
When HB was designed it took advantage of "legal" methods of inserting itself into the game and causing your character to move around and do shit.
Then Blizzard got word of this new bot and looked into finding a way to determine a pathway of weakness that HB was still poking its head out.
Imagine you had to get to the store to buy milk. Your wife doesn't want you to drive there because the 1km walk is a waste of gas, but you are lazy and want to figure out a more efficient way of getting there.
So you get the great idea of timing a few weeks worth of walking and then one day you drive there and back at 10km/h so you don't get back too early or too late. Your wife is none the wiser.
Until one day her sister calls and upon texting you that she was going to go see her sister in the next city for the afternoon, finds the garage empty and the keys missing.
After you return to a furious wife, she locks up the keys and you are forbidden from using the car to go buy milk.
But you are smarter than a safe, and spend the next few weeks figuring out the combination.
Eventually you are able to drive the car to and from the store at 10km/h within the time frame of how long it would take you to walk if you were walking and put the keys back before she notices.
But then her sister calls again, she goes to the safe, finds the keys missing, and when you return she threatens you with divorce.
So now you are at a cross roads, and you don't know what to do.
Eureka! You think to yourself.
I'll just buy a beat up old car and park it on the street so that i'm not driving OUR car but A car she doesn't know about.
Months go by and its plate renewal time of the year.
You get two separate plate renewals and being in a loving marriage she opens up the mail to pay the bills.
Instead of freaking out like last time, she notices that you took out the life insurance policy you talked about last year and begins to scheme.
First she tampers with the lights.
Then she switches the signals.
Next is the power for the door locks.
With each attempt getting worse towards killing you or destroying the vehicle.
The brakes are cut next.
Then the airbags are taken out.
Finally, she fills the interior of the paneling with thermite.
Eventually you get the hint that somethings up with this car when you park it at the grocery store on a hot day and it melts a hole in the ground as if there was a sink hole in the parking lot.
For those who aren't following along, Blizzard is the wife and HB is the car. Every time blizzard sees the program peeking out from behind that magical mysterious person behind the monitor they round up all the users they can find and ban 10 - 80% of them so that its not for certain what caused the ban wave. Maybe he didn't notice the signals weren't working until his brakes were cut. The only way HB could ever hope to be perfectly invisible to Blizzard would be to create a mechanical keyboard with preprogrammed keystrokes that was able to watch the monitor and run on a separate computer. Blizzard has to be able to prove in their minds that the banned consumer is not actually a consumer, and this is the only perfect way to get around that gray area. There will always be slight issues with code that is traceable, there will always be slip ups where your out of date computer holds onto some information in ram too long for it to function properly, there will always be security issues with botting in any video game.
If HB said "hey guys we found out that blizzard turned off our signals last month, but dont worry we fixed that and they still haven't figured out XYZ" then blizzard knows to know check the data of the previous 3 months with the data coming in after HB fixed the signal issues and find the main difference then cut the brakes. It works on the same principal of Blizzard not releasing "Hey community warden got updated today to counteract the trip wire for HB because they seem to be initiating it on only a few IP addresses so we used a routing protocol to bypass the screening and found every single HB user that was online this last month" By not doing this, it means that at minimum a few days to even weeks or months has to go into the next iteration of HB to figure out first what was detected, then how, and finally create a system that can't be found again. Until it is reverse engineered AGAIN.
There is no disputing these facts. HB is and always has been the safest bot on the market, but we have reached what looks like a rock and a hard place where the buddy team is working diligently on *****ing through that rock. Until then, its still the safest bot out there, just not as safe as it was before. And if you understand maths in any degree 1 / ∞ = 9001 / ∞ which means that even if your 9000 times more likely to be banned today than yesterday, its still a bannable offense to use the bot and you should know better. Bot at your own risk and stop blaming HB staff for grinding 24/7 or using 100% public profiles that blizzard can track perfectly.
