Banwave 10-11-2016 Discussion

is botting currently safe? or relatively safe for what it is? or will we be informed when they figure out what is being detected and its safe again
 
I have an account i tired to use the pet studio to do a garrison pet battle and it wouldn't work, so about 10 minutes of trying to bot in my garrison and no other botting on that account for several months and it got banned.
This was during the pet bonus so last week sometime.


This the 5th or 6th banwave now for honorbuddy in the last year or two.

I really wanted you guys to win and stick to blizzard but I realize it will never happen and Honorbuddy should be renamed to reflect its detection as 100% from now on or some time of disclaimer for people to see that it is 100% detected.-

So detected, second time I lose an account. Safe to say that HB is slowly going down the drain imo
 
So, I use HonorBuddy to experience WoW, since I am unable to use a keyboard/mouse on my own. My accounts were banned, yesterday, including my main account that I have had for years: I made the mistake of using my main account to beta-test oleary's felfire legion dungeon plugin during the past few weeks. Ironically, I had just bought the Legion codes from the g2a site and had trouble updating my accounts to Legion early yesterday before the banwave. It kept saying that my accounts were pending an update, so I chatted with Blizzard customer service, and they got my accounts to Legion, but only after switching through several reps. I should have known something was going on then! Sadly, I can not refund those Legion codes, and the cost of continuing to play WoW with Honorbuddy is too great for me. I want to thank the Honorbuddy team for making a product that let a handicapped person like myself enjoy the game for the past few years, and I wish all you folks well...
 
Just thought it was worth mentioning that I have 2 accounts that I bot heavily but I went on holiday the day before Kara release and I got back today. I have not received a ban so I suspect it was detecting in between that time frame
 
Sorry if this is forbidden.
After several bans, I gave up using bot for wow.
I have 2 life keys.
I wanted to get rid of them.
Is it forbidden to sell ?!

Doesnt matter how much it saves us, its crap. Is it 2 or 3 banwaves this year so far? You would be dumb to use hb at this point, im sure Bossland is using stupid amounts of money from low sales after the past year with so many banwaves

Nice try, but blizzard won´t un-ban you.
 
For anyone who is wondering about opening a ticket to say they have been hacked it doesn't work. I tried and they pretty much replied with a to bad so sad. It's still worth a shot if you want to try though

Obvius.....

As a mather of fact, not 100% true, but it is true now.

4 years ago i got ban for botting.
And send a e-mail, telling that was my brother etc.
But at that time they use to replay e-mails and care about customer services.
Afther like 10-15 email with law, and rules from blizzard i got with a 72h suspension and a final warring.

But as i sad, now, blizzard don´t care anymore. Because if yo got ban, you will buy the game again.
 
2/2 Ban

i have my 2 account banned too.
It's the game.

I had an old battlechest wihch allow to play @ wow since the last extension WOW

But when i create a new account with a new Battle net ID i have a new screen (i you want it i do an screen shoot/ but it's in french)
It says that for the anti-cheat programs, you allow blizzard to scan your pc.
If you don't accept you can't run the game....
 
Also got a 6 month ban.....I guess they don't perm ban people anymore this is like the 3rd time i got banned on the same account for botting.
 
Honorbuddy has been detected for last 2 to 3 weeks which bypassed the tripwire system.

i was in vacation last 2 weeks and didn't use the bot/played on my bot account. still got banned.

Main is safe bc i don't use the bot there.

Based on the wording they used about appeals in the email I think it's pretty obvious Blizzard isn't bluffing and has actual hard data that a bot was used. So in order to be really in with a chance I think you'd need something more than the usual "I was hacked" claim.

They permanent ban , i got 2 new accounts on new bnet that got banned within 3-4 days after creation , and no suspension they went straight to permanent ban , in other side the older bnet accounts none of them got banned and i even sold gold to chinese on them , so who knows how they " work"
 
The last time I used HB was on 10/28/15 when I took my first BAN, I installed it today (09/11/2016) and used it for a maximum of 4 hours in a row supervising him doing WoLK quests from level 68 to level 72 in Borean Tundra. (It was at Work, other IP other machine)

I logged off and went home.


I do not have HB at home, so at this point I wasnt using HB...
I played with two other characters, I logged on to the char that I was using HB at Work. I did a dungeon without problems, when I entered the second dungeon I was disconnected and received an email from the blizzard.
