[Official] Banwave 1 February 2017 Discussion

Hello,

Looking for other bots I discovered TheNoobBot and this on their forum:

"Somewhere in between: We found detection vector update in PTR patch for 7.1.5.

10th of January 2017: Blizzard introduce a new anti-bot detection in patch 7.1.5.23360
10th of January 2017: We found the detection vector added in patch 23360.
10th of January 2017: We fixed the detection vector added in patch 23360.


25th of January 2017: Blizzard introduce a new anti-bot detection in patch 7.1.5.23420.
25th of January 2017: Blizzard introduce an implementation of System32.ReadProcessMemory function. But after debugging for long hours, we didn't see any use of it and released as-is.
1st of February 2017: Third wave of bans hitting major bots. We are not yet aware of what caught us.

This "mouse & cat" game goes on and on since blizzard opened hostility with the October banwave.
Unfortunatly, our "wins" are always wiped-out by our loss in that matter, but that doesn't mean we stop fighting, we updated their modification immediatly for the past 3 patches, they just improved their game.

As meticulous we are when reviewing the changes/new update, we unfortunatly cannot read crystal balls."

Looks like they sorta knew about it before hand...did HB?
 
got two accounts banned now in a very short amount of time. only used questing on the 2nd acc.
 
I'm not a prophet but I can guess how it will look: when Honorbuddy lifetime had been changed to 2 years license, lot of botters were pissed of and didnt buy new license. Banweave hit us once again. Again those who still didnt decide to buy new license probably wont buy it after all this sh*t, those who bought it will probably ask for refund. Bosland wont have enough money to cover lawsuits etc. and probably will close this project or even declare bankruptcy, who knows. Anyway, GG WP Bossland, thanks for everything, it was a pleasure to use your software but I wont buy it again.
PS at least I have lot of tokens on my accounts, i hope blizz havent deleted it :D
 
Warden can be updated at any time with a simple download to be used when they want to scan for bots... NOT A WOW UPDATE

Expected this. Time to keep moving

All my main accounts and toons are safe. 200k in the bank. I'm good.

Can't wait for the patch to start botting again
 
Well, I can add a little bit to the investigation. I used HB daily until the lifetime changes. Did not resub, have not used it since. I am currently unbanned and playing. So, I gather Blizz nailed recent users.
 
An account I used 2 weeks ago is safe. I can check the last log-in date to get an accurate # if needed.
 
It is very clear that at least the HB product from Bossland is detectable. In fact, i assume all products for Blizzard games is detectable now.
Pretty easy to count if he sold 100,000+ codes the days after the lifetime change. He made a couple of millions of euro and will probably run.

This is the answer you will get if you try to appeal it. The answered within an hour which makes me think the answer is automatic since the load may be quite high today with server maintenance and all.

We have detected botting activity on this account and sent you an email with details on its suspension. This issue is closed and we will not accept further appeals. Our support staff will not overturn these suspensions and will not respond to appeals.
The account holder is responsible for all activity on the account. We issue suspensions and closures to protect our players and our service.

Same.

Honestly, I was getting antsy and was going to give in. Logged on to purchase a key even though I have limited funds on hand. Luckily I have all the top headers collapsed and seen the announcement of the banwave on my way to the purchase link.

The lifetime changes coincided with Nighthold release. The November banwave was also right after 7.1 release. Seems like new detection is added in major patches, not that it matters anymore. Don't see how HB can survive this.

Haven't used on main account since July, still got banned... Luckily getting my salary monday week, loving life. /sarcasm
 
You all seriously think rewriting the bot is going to help WAKE UP EVERYONE. we consent for blizz to scan our pc's to find these programs. doesnt matter what the hell you call it blizz will scan and find the program and shut it down. What needs to happen is bossland needs to find a way to get blizz to change its scanning ability calling it invasion of privacy. its the only way we can go back to botting without the fear of blizz finding us every so many months . and as for you People to stupid to realize that hb is a bad product stop defending them. They took away the lifetime subs for a reason. Kind of funny how the timing works? they take lifetimes away then a bann wave hits really are you that dumb not to see this. they just raked in more money bofore loosing a shit ton more customers WAKE UP EVERYONE THIS BOT IS DEAD JUST A TIME TICKING BOMB WAITING TO GO OFF. just my 2 cents.
 
For all the non believers and haters, I got a refund this morning after emailing them, so just be respectful and patient and hope for the best.
 
Lost two accounts in this banwave and I have recently purchased a 1 month sub to the bot after losing 3 lifetime keys... I will probably not renew my subscription again until Honorbuddy becomes less prone to bans. I remember the good old days when ban waves were once a year if that. Only really got banned if you got reported by players or got stuck for hours on a tree and what not.

Same. I didn't resub after the lifetime changes and my account is not banned.
