RofL at the title to the thread. "Banwave 1" Starting to number them each year now. Just start naming them like the weather folks name the hurricanes. Holy shit man. I think I may really be done this time.

seems like they need to radically rewrite the bot coz it looks like blizz just easily detected it this time around and stealthy people got banned. i had a brand new account banned too, very minor botting done on it. guess that's $100 down the drain (hb key + bc + legion key).

I've been playing and botting a long long time. I just started again and while i qualify for a refund...im not going to ask for it. Hoping the $ can go to finding a solution. You guys know the risk you take when you bot. Stop being babies and crying.

Alright guys here is my situation. My main account got banned like 3 months ago. Irrelevant. So now I had an account that I played on and I have been ever since. 2 Weeks ago I created an alternate account just for botting cause I planned on leveling a hunter and figured that I wouldn't get caught just questing and getting that guy to 110. Well I did. So i'm absolutely cool with them banning that account. For this other account that I've been playing for 3 months or so. I have not once logged onto that account with Honorbuddy. Has anyone ever had this happen, and is it even worth my time to appeal. I sent them a message saying they had no proof that I botted on that account. Surely there can be something I can do to scare them into unlocking that account since I legitimately played it and got banned when I have paid for the time right? Maybe an administrator knows a way out of it? Please help. Thanks!

i have 3 accounts, 1 main on clean computer, a banking one not botted, and a bot on separate computer and ip address. they've all interacted with each other in some form of funds transfer but only the bot got banned, so i would assume it's due to some sort of program detection they ran this time around.

i would try talk to customer support and tell them that you use a shared computer and that your account has never had a bot running on it.

I'm not going to ask for a refund, nor am I going to chargeback my purchase, I'm not going to berate or complain or threaten to sue. What I am going to do is simply and politely voice my disappointment.

I've been a subbed user for the better part of a decade, I've been botting for even longer than that, started with Glider, moved on to Pirox, then onto HB when Pirox did that incredibly stupid thing with the archaeology bot and I was dumb enough to use it even after common sense dictated otherwise.

HB was supposed to be better than any other bot out there, more secure, and more easily configurable, easier to write profiles, botbases, and plugins. That's why you built such a strong base in the beginning, because everyone saw the potential and jumped on board. Tripwire in and of itself was amazing, countless banwaves for years were avoided due to it intercepting Blizzards attempts at detection. Because of that the base grew even larger, but it looks like the end has been reached. I do not know what's going on your end as far as coders are going, if that's even the issue, I'm not going to speculate, make assumptions, spread rumors like maybe there's some kind of link, hell, maybe you guys just sort of gave up. I don't know, nor do I care.

I care about the money I'm losing though, I care about having to rebuy all the WoW expansions, I care about losing money on gametime I will not get to use now that I've lost another account. I'm not someone who uses the bot to farm gold to sell, I don't even farm gold to buy gametime tokens, I bot because the game as a whole sucks, I bot because I hate leveling by hand, I hate questing, I hate grinding. The admins who have access to it can check my buddyauth and see how much I've purchased as far as CRs, botbases, plugins, and profiles. I bot things I don't want to do by hand, but every time I get a little further ahead than I was last time my account get banned, my new account gets hit and it's beginning to just get exhausting.

When the lifetime keys were revoked, I said screw it and purchased another key, I debated buying another yearlong sub but decided to just buy a monthly one, and honestly I'm very glad I did. I don't think I'd be as calm about it as I am now if I had paid a bit more than what I did because now it's, once again, wasted money.

I don't know if you gave up, or if Blizzard figured out how to stay 1 step ahead of you, I don't care, but I am officially done. Something I never thought I would say because hell, I've been botting so long that I'm kind of just numb to the losses. I just hope that if you do in fact plan on continuing... whatever this is now, that you figure out what you need to do to survive, because I honestly don't see it making it through this. Unless it's the gold farmers that are keeping you afloat. I'm not leaving the forums, I'm going to keep watching, as I have for years now, to see how everything develops and maybe one day I'll rejoin the botting community fully, but for now, farewell and good luck to those who are willing to continue on.

FYI i have been at sea for 7 weeks, havent logged into WOW since then, landed last week and saw the lifetimes withdrawn.
today i am suspended for 6 months.

Advice would be to stop using honorbuddy. I lost an account after 4 days of purchasing legion. I think i'll be taking a break from WoW for a long time. You may have used honorbuddy on the client. Logged out, closed honorbuddy but not closed the WoW client. Logged into your main and been "detected" even though you weren't running honorbuddy, the injection on the client was detected.

You can't get your account back, nothing can be salvaged, you will need to either wait, start again or not bot at all.

Also... where are all the rude moderators to come out insulting customers? 3 pages in and none to be seen! It's a miracle!

Farewell, Bossland. I really hope you can get your things together, you gave me a lot of fun, but now it's hard to keep going with 3 banwaves a year and the lifetime key change.

I Said a while back a wave was coming and I got a infraction on commenting on a banwave coming

You look in the ban section of dates of bans and how many there are they slow down to nothing it happens every time a ban wave comes out for the last 2.5 years since hb got the big hit in 13-May-2015

Hb is just unsafe to use but any bot is like that now

They hired someone in Feb of 2015 highly skilled programmer most likely a virus programmer this would be the perfect programmer to hire to get around tripwire

Virus programmers are some of the best programmers in the world that waste there skill in most cases

Another thought with tripwire is they still have not got around the detecting part for bots that warden is using there is one line of code hidden in millions of lines that has been there since 13-May-2015

This is possibly the worst thing that could happen to them after that they withdraw the lifetime keys. They are going to get a real shit storm on their hands. Chargebacks all over the place even though their "policy" is that the purchase must have been in the last 7 days in order for you to be able to get a refund a lot of people will do it anyway via PayPal.

Honorbuddy has been great through the years and as a FORMER lifetime key user myself I feel like I've gotten my moneys worth out of the program and the community here. It has been fun, but I think this is where the road ends for them unless they come up with some way to stop people from doing charge back that is. Since people have to pay per year now and get new keys I doubt there are near as many people farming gold for a living as there used to be.
