Account Action: 6-Month Suspension

Offense: Exploitation of game mechanics

Recent activity on this account has shown characters exploiting functionality to the detriment of the game environment or the intended player experience.

The account holder is responsible for all activity on the account. We issue suspensions and closures to protect our players and our service in accordance with our Terms of Use: blizzard.com/company/about/termsofuse.html

Exploitive gains such as items or currency may have been removed as part of this action. Further inappropriate behavior may result in additional penalties, including permanent closure. For dispute of this action and further information on exploitative activity, please review our appeal process:

i know they arent i had in the a few accounts banned a few months ago and now to and they where all permantly and this last account where i had only mop on got a suspension of 6 months lol its like they want me to upgrade to wod befor i be permantly banned but i wont bot anymore til they really know whats going on

In my case it's temporary. Just got a response that I will (roughly) translate:

Thank you for your message.

The reason the ban shows as "permanent" is because the ban is longer than bans for other reasons. But just as it's shown in the mail, and as we have already commented you, the ban is only 6 months, so you will regain access to your WoW account in November.

Please, save these messages if you need in the future, in case you have another doubt.

It's possible that forum and launcher do not have this 6 months period built-in, thus showing permanent status. Just ignore that. Email saying 6 months is the evidence.

Exactly. I had this confirmed by a GM yesterday.

Either way, all of the speculation about if it is 6 months or perm won't be realized for sure until November 13th for almost all of us that were banned. So all of this back and forth does not matter.

Hi,

Bans arent temporary

You received a mail for 6 months suspensions (like Game Exploiting) but it's a life suspension, a BAN.
Seem's having some problems with their mailbot...

From Blizzard :
"Your World of Warcraft account is currently under a temporary suspension due to a breach of our policies. We have already sent an email with more details but can inform you that the suspension is for use of unauthorized third party programs and will last for 6 months. You will be able to play again after this time."

So it IS a suspension, your account will be reactivated automatically after 6 months.
Kindly stop talking nonsense.

People...we all got an e-mail stating the duration of the ban AND even a DATE when our accounts will be unbanned. Don't be stupid. Read. 6 month bans just didn't exsist untill now, so they haven't been able to make any interface/webpage changed yet for this. And since it's a long ban, the most convenient text would be "This account has been closed". Also perhaps even to scare us botters.

Sure it is to confuse us, and add extra fear of perma. Sure we should follow fact and initially belief its 6m. Just remember they can extend it cause in agreement they do not need to give reasons ^^. If they feel they didn't make enough profit in this wow token monopoly, they'll extend or redo a bot check and make another banwave :/. Just saying to keep that in mind too.
