Banned today after instaling new version and run if for 30 minutes.

Hey guys, did u confirmed your path of exile account? You get confimation e-mail when you create game account and if you don't confirm = suspicious action = ban!
 
i'm one of the Beta Testers, and i have been running this bot for 10+hours a day, ever since we started testing around 3 weeks ago, and haven't had any problems, but normally i also play for 6+hours every day, or at least afk in town some of the time.
Are the accounts you got banned on completely new?
i remember Chris talking on reddit about, some feature or whatever, that they had, for detecting new accounts that are not doing normal behavior, to get some of the Currency Sellers, because they needs to level to lvl25 so they can transfer currency to other accounts, and you might have fallen into that category if you haven't really done so many quests, and just grinds the same zone for hours and hours.
i have leveled 2 chars with this Bot to, and i just made sure not to grind the same zone for to long, and then move on, do some quest, maybe even go to the next act, and then start farming a zone again for some time, and move on, and do the same over again.
i have been botting for the last 4 hours, and did it for 10 hours yesterday, and i'm not banned yet, so i wont believe that the bot is detectable in any way, only your play/bot style.

exactly, you should maybe make a guide for new user on how to not look suspisious. im sure alot of members here could use that. also i just tested that if you dont verify your email you will get banned within the 15min with suspisious gameplay. ive created 2 accounts, same class started botting in the mud flats and the not verified acc got banned at lvl 4. the verified account is lvl 8 now and is still running without a problem.
 
None of this applys to me, I have had me account for a fairly long time and been using it now and again. I was doing ledge for 4-5ish hours with it, and thats all ive ever done, never used another bot/maphack or any other tool.

The only way i could think that it detected me was manner in which the bot executes the runs, banking tps, pulling out, not using end of map portals to reset etc, idk exactly what caused my detection but it certainly wasn't the account or activity.

I was using the Ranger profile that came with the bot also, dont know if that helps. merciless, fill tps on and thats it.

Yeah me too, and all accounts were confirmed of course.
I didn't think it was possible for GGG to flag the bot so fast!!
Injection is so easy to detect nowadays.

This isn't client-side detection. They're definitely tracking something server-side to discern botters, unfortunately we don't know enough about how, to combat it just yet.

What settings/botting runs are you doing? as you and some others seem to have avoided getting banned, maybe then i can see if anything was different for me etc..
 
I just left the default settings alone and change the loot/combat from 100/100 to 100/25 and I don't flip portal/wisdom scrolls at all, i just stash what i get and I use the default LA ranger routine. I also have high playtime on my account, even before using the bot i had like 10+ hours a day,

You using WP to return to town?

Also has anyone played with the combat range etc, as for looting range ive noticed it ignoring loot sometimes altogether or running 3-5 screens away then running back for 1 chest, or a portal scroll which seems an odd way to do it, maybe there should be a loot priority?

As stated, set combat distance to 35 (adjust as you see fit) and leave loot at 100. that way your character will loot before running after an enemy.

regarding loot priority, all we have is loot filters. So, like me, when you have enough TP scrolls you just setup/modify a pickup filter.

I use a portal gem and do not need portal scrolls.
 
i hadnt played my account in MONTHS when i started botting and playing again
but when i did play (june or earlier) i played for 10+ hours a day and was very competitive in all the leagues
since starting botting (about a week ago) ive been going about 24/7
BUT i havent upgraded to the 4 version of exile buddy (it straight up wouldnt install for me)
ive been farming the ledge and the sarn slums non stop
and i HAVE NOT been banned yet...thought id just let everyone know for a reference

Yeah so for you it wouldnt look weird that you play and farm alot. but when you create a new char and you play for 3 days straight you are going to have a bad time.
my advise is just to take it slow and build up the amount that you bot/play. so after a couple of weeks you can bot as much as you like without looking too suspicious.

It's even tougher than botting the blz games I'd say

i just got my account unbanned after some smooth talking, and this is what they send me in the email:

'What has happened was that your account was flagged during a routine system scan that looks for botters, and it sometimes bans an account that looks suspicious, this doesn't mean an account has done something wrong, just something the system can't recognize.'

so somethings tells them you are doing something weird but they arent 100% sure about it, so if you send them an email telling them you were just playing there's a big chance you get your account back.

Monitor your bot when it's botting :/
So you know if he fucks up somewhere.
 
Sure, but when it's something new and not polished.

ATM I am botting so the bot does with multiple accounts what I would do with only one, even if he does it less efficiently than me at the end the quantity will beat the quality. So for me even botting while monitoring is botting ;)
 
This is how a human player would play:
1) Start at level 1, start killing stuff, go from one area to next
2) Keep upgrading your weapon and armor if you get any
3) Try to always find waypoint to save your progress
4) Don't farm the same area more than few times unless you're level 60+ and can't progress in the game without farming (really, very few people "farm" the same area in this game before level 60)
5) Solve quests for their rewards (passive points, rare items, gems etc)
6) AFK intermittently because of food, pee, poo and wife.
7) Friends, chat, trade etc

Bot doesn't do any of these things, and it's so much easy to detect these patterns.

Easy.
