Banned after DB servers come back up :(

Well after reading on other forums no one else is reporting bans of any kind. This is either a single instance or a troll.
 
First of all, did you try logging in? The email only says "greetings," and does not have anything that identifies you. This is the easiest way to tell if the letter is fake or not. I'm thinking this one is fake un;ess you removed the information for your protection.
 
Simple question: Did you ever join public games? Or any games with other players in it for that matter? Public or private?

If you join a public game, anyone that you're in a game with will have you on recent players list for weeks afterwards. And also, blocking players / removing them probably seems a little weird too.
 
This isn't something I thought of very often, but I always wondered if Blizzard linked an old banned account to a current one of yours if they would ban it or not. I usually don't read the emails on my dummy accounts or ones I just threw away to hackers, but they're pretty much saying.. "If you pay for a new game, that's alright, but you should appeal first." And that basically means we will turn the other way if you buy the game again. Interesting.
 
People on his recent player list wouldn't get suspicious if he had not been botting for long periods of time. Do you have Allow quick join checked? Maybe one of your friends or someone just so happened to join your game when you were botting.
 
Do you have an authenticator? If not, you can often say that you've recently dealted with computer viruses and a lot of your RL accounts (bank, credit cards, etc) have been compromised. Beg, plead, and all other options to let them re-activate your account. Dirty tactic but if you're desperate enough, definitely worth a shot.
 
I say bullshit. OP obviously did something stupid to get himself caught. My guess would be he used another bot or hack at some point. Been botting 24/7 with IB and DB (when up) ever since D3 servers were stable enough the first week. 10 accounts now, no bans at all. In fact, one of my accounts got locked because I logged in on a different computer and I forgot my secret question. I called Blizzard and had it unlocked by a nice girl, now I am back to botting 24/7 on that account with no issues. Let the ban wave come I am sure most of us are ready for it but I am pretty sure DB is not detected. OP is either a troll or doesn't know wtf he's doing.

The join date only shows when you registered for the forums. I bought db on the 12th June. But only signed up for the forums on the 19th to support bossland against the injuction from blizzard.

Probably the main reason I kicked everyone I've never met in real life from my friend list. Everyone on my list either doesn't give a damn what I do or knows me in real life.

I did the same....and the 3 people on my list are from BH, and they all bot/cheat/hack. lol. so it isn't a big issue

- I DID receive an email --- but no ban --- but the email doesn't seem to be legit blizzard?? I'll forward my email I saw in PM to one of the Devs to take a look at.

Yeah, I'd be willing to be 20 million that this is a phishing email, and nothing more.
 
Actually, I did receive one of these emails a week or two ago when my account was actually banned. It's exactly the same as this one, I don't think it's fake at all.
 
have you guy been buying Gold from third party.
i think buying gold large sum from third party is a ban too. but buying it off RMAH is OKAY :)

I remember this game i play Immortal ______ i bought gold and the detected next day few of my items were remove and the gold as well. and a warning was posted.
 
Hmmm, I am going to have to jump on the Bandwagon of belief it was a player report... I have been going 24x7 (using auto-it the week before DB, and during hte 2 days it was down 24x7) and using DB all the time when it's up.... no issues at all.

Only people on my friendslist I Know IRL, and most of which are botting as well lol

I only sell gold from clean accounts and I filter it though the AH ill put up a Set/Leg item on the clean account for sale for market value and buy it on the bot.
