Ban Theories and Ban Waves

?

I was ask serious, because I'm close to paragon lvl 100 and if there is a good chance for getting ban i don't wanna risk to much.

then ask serious question , asking whats the chance to get ban is retarded

What is retarded in asking for opinions? :S
I was wondering for some average % od gamers who botting, how much long ''live'' without ban who bot 24/7, and to ex. 12/7... diferences.
Just wanna make safer calculation if I'm thinking of continue with botting or cancel it close to the end of road.

No one knows that^ and no one knows if u get flag by playing 12h/day.

Just a comment about the form.
I think the question 'Are you botting multiple accounts on 1 pc'
must also be asked.

Also, can you add 'If not, are these accounts sharing the same
IP-address?'

Hi. I was stoped botting after few weeks 12/7, and I was wondering if I stil can be banned?
Bot was used only for leveling, no gold farm.

Bliz is using a far superior bot to counter bot our bots. Thus they are violating their own terms. But then again this allows them to make money when people buy more accounts.

I actually just realized something about the bots I bought. I have 6 bots, and only 3 were banned. Those 3 were the ones I bought digitally from Blizzard, and the 3 I have from actual box copies are fine. Those 3 that were banned all started off "locked" from the AH until payment processed (had to update their passwords to force it). This patch was fixing something with accounts that upgraded from starter to full, right? And they said they were fixing an issue that could occur there (like permanently being locked out of AH until you update your password). I wonder if that included something that checked those accounts that had already upgraded, and ended up noticing that mine were bots.

Obviously that wouldn't be why everyone got banned in this ban wave, but it could make sense as to why the bans I received were so selective. My first bot, that is the highest paragon and ran the EXACT same setup as one of my banned ones, is still going strong, but he was from a physical copy of the game.

Good thinking. :) Mine were both digital copies as well. Did ANYONE get a bot banned that was running a STORE-BOUGHT copy of D3??

Ya i got 2/3 banned and all 3 were box copies. I had been running them both 24/7 with the same profiles since early August. I'm thinking it was the DB update, cause my 3rd that survived was on at the time and only 1 of the 3 was actually running anything at the time, all were para lvl 97+. The one that did survive was in hell for most of it doing just gold, but at that very moment i got banned i was upgrading it to do items in inferno.

3/3 of mine were digital, it's definitely a good thought but I still don't think that's it.

Why would blizzard intentionally make a boxed version key different than a digital version key. And why would they decide to punish one more than the other.

I just don't think there is any rhyme or reason as to why they banned the botters that they did. It's probably a completely random % of the red flagged botters they have on file. Obviously they cant ban every single botter on d3 or else the economy would die.

The bot I lost was brand new, box version, ~30 hours botted across 3-4 days, got banned 10 hours or so after stopping bot. Something had to be detected, I hadn't been using DB on the account long enough to raise any eyebrows. My other account was botting during the wave, no ban.

One of mine that was banned was running with 289. It was running when 290 came out and didn't stop until it was banned.
