Ban Theories and Ban Waves

No, My account camp AH and not bot but have about 200 restarts/hour in about 2 or 3 hours each day ,not banned

130-180 games per hour is crazy... No way a human could do that.. My core bot does 40 games an hour and is not banned.

If you want to know if it is the games per hours... why not start an account without DB and just have him leave and start games every 10 seconds. That would make a 300 games / hour. See if that gets banned. No need to bot.

My friend got banned from diablo 3 but he have never used a 3rd party program or any exploit wich is strange.
He had some other games minimized while playing diablo 3 like, Battlefield 3 and LoL.
He didnt find any viruses either so the only thing he suspected was Punkbuster.
He actually wrote to blizzard first but since they didnt answer him, he called them and told them the whole story.
Blizzard unbanned him and told him that they where sorry.

I have done some research after that incident and have found out that more people is saying that they are manually farming and have been banned. They also suspect Punkbuster as a reason but I have never found out how it ended up with their accounts.

My theory after reading about the whole punkbuster situation; It seems like blizzard have some problems with the automatic detection of bots wich in this situation leads to innocent people having their accounts banned.

Is it just me or does it seem like 8/10 bans people are running AGB? DB is not detecable but maybe something the AGB does/leaves in memory autoflags.

BTW changing the game name, also changes one of its tags of running processes. I have mine changed to AOL instant messenger for that exact reason. Prob doesn't do anything but it cant hurt

Looks like that mass ban event is over?
If these bans takes place once a month as in wow, should it be safer till next 20th August?

we have already seen them do it two weeks in a row on Tuesday

ok so tuesday almost over for EU and no bans reported.... *knock on wood

is blizzard on vacation? ;)

Talking to a GM regarding diablo 3 ban is like talking to a person who keeps saying the same thing over and over again.
I have got 10 Gm answers and all are saying the same thing no matters what I write.
