Ban Theories and Ban Waves

No email. It'd be interesting to see what they'll say, unless it is a very contrived email and just says there's been a TOS infringement.

Banwave happened. Reason why. Most likely because of upcoming Seasons

I quit botting a few weeks ago in anticipation of this.....and now I'm off playing the new patch while you're banned.

GG guise

I get the feeling that there's more bans to come and I don't even play the game.

Damn im scared! I found a Wand of Woe a week ago and SMK yesterday before D3 went down and still no ban yet.... I guess theres a chance still, guess im dont botting for a bit...

I'd advise against botting at all.

If you do, bot smartly.

Small botting sessions 2-4 hours with breaks. Also, don't let your bot run overnight. Irregular botting sessions are what triggers the "flag" on your accounts folks.

those "flag" theories are big myths. A lot of people bot 24/7 and they haven't been banned. It's definitely not a detection. People who got banned were most likely monitored one by one.

Botting less hours does not lower your chance of being banned. I would just go 24/7. If I bot, I bot.

I went 24/7 up until I got kicked for the new patch. Didn't get hit lel

I believe its a bit of both, your luck and your behaviour. I dont think its the bot thats detected as many are running 24/7 without any ban....
Also, I've noticed that alot of those that got banned in the last banwave were quite a high paragorn level, perhaps blizz also banned those that might've interfered with their new ladder system

Started 4 bots on March.
All on one PC all on one IP. I created only the bnet account of one of them on my mac with a different IP - the others on the botting PC. All botted for 24/7...the only one not banned is the one I created on my mac in the beginning.
Interesting, but I guess just luck ;)

I believe this is completely random, i've been running DB 24/7 for the past 6 months, at first i even thought my computer wouldn't handle it lol. Anyway, nothing ever happened. My assumption is that, either it comes from random check or reports from players.

In other words, if you do it, there's no reason to limit yourself to short windows of time.

Blizz is just showing off, demonstrating that they're still actually banning botters, making a few kids shit their pants by doing some high profile ones and making a miniwave.

Most of these were probably manual reviews or something, I mean, it's not random that they came right before 2.1.

I have had 7 bots running 24/7 since last banwave (11.07.2014). I lost all my bots 11.07.2014 but bought 7 new bots the day after and kept on boting 24/7 and none was hit 25.08.2014.

guys it's become apparent that Turbo HUD is now being used by a lot of people. I wonder if this has become a problem for us botters and what I mean by that is popular streamers are now talking about it and QQing. I don't use turbo HUD but this could mean blizzard might have to take action against cheaters against people using turbo HUD and they might also ban botters? It seems that there have been a lot of people who have climbed the ladder too easily and legit players are QQing.
