Ban Theories and Ban Waves

They posted some blabla about bans being done weekly or daily few days ago, did you guys know anything about more ban these days or same stuff as always???

This doesn't sound correct. If you have a family of 4 and they all play diablo and one of them bots, they all get banned? All internal connections use a private IP address range and the same IP is presented to any outside source when using a router.

Did you ever bot on that main account?


Also, not sure if this is posted elsewhere but I am noticing that after a while my bots don't farm much gold. To be clear, it is the GAME that isn't DROPPING much gold. I was getting 500k per hour and then I came back to check a little later and all of a sudden it was like 10k an hour. I watched the gold drops and there were like 1-25 gold per pile!?!? I actually reached the point where the repair costs were more than I farmed.. This is on INFERNO with a high MP also. If I log out and log back in it seems to clear the issue (I waited some time, not sure if I immediately logged back in).

I am taking this as "they are on to me" but haven't been banned yet... Could this be just an unrelated bug?

Is this known already or something new warden is doing?

Reading many of the ban statements, people are using 3 or more accounts at the same time, trying to work the AH, and running it for days at a time.

Is it safe to say, if you are just botting one account to hit paragon 100 and for a handful of hours per day(less than 8) will keep you under the radar?

I just recently came back to D3. When I'm at my computer I normally play League of Legends, but if I have people online in D3 that want to do ubers or 4man crypt runs, I do them. whenever I am not playing by hand (about 20+ hours a day) I am botting my barbarians.

I plan to have 10 paragon 100 barbs before RoS. So far I have 2 at 100 and a third thats currently at 81. I started this all one month ago. Haven't been banned yet. Yes I use the AH to sell stuff I find. Yes I use the RMAH to sell 5+b gold when I cash out (have done it twice so far on GG rare rings)
 
for how much you sell your stuff in the normal ah? dou you work with startbid and no buyout or whats your tactic?

I sell things at buyout in the Gold Auction House and under valued to get rid of them quickly.
 
I'm contemplating to buy DB to bot a barb on my main to P100 but it seems they are banning more frequently and severely than they do with Honorbuddy?
I don't need the gold, just the P100.

same, I just want P100 too.
 
That's what I wanna know, if you don't use AH, per se, and just bot a couple of hours every day to get some guys to p100, how much chance would you have to get caught? in EU that is.
 
Thought the same as you guys, bought a 3 day trail, and gave a friend 1 gram of weed for his diablo account. Botted for 3 days almost 24 hours. I would go to bed at 9pm and wake up, check bot and keep it going while i was at work till 6pm. So pretty much botted 21 hours a day. Bought the month trail and havent been banned yet. I use my main account to sell everything tho.

Edit: I would just buy the 1 monh trail atm. Gonna be the 1 year anni of the ban wave soon. I see another one coming.


Edit again: Just looked at the HB forums. Seems alot of people were banned today. I will let you know if i got banned when i am home from work.

I don't wanna lose my main acc but I don't need another account either since I wanna have a p100 on my main acc
 
If I was banned on one account will they be more likely to check if im botting other accs on same ip?
 
New info I think.

I remember blizzard saying all your previous history is wiped when you add in a new game key somewhere but supposedly thats a lie.

Chatting with a GM and he said "Well, looking over your account, I see you keep getting licenses removed and banned for botting"

Apparently they do keep track of the whole history on your account =/

I dunno how they do em but i started boting around 2 weeks ago and boted last week for 128 hours got mail on raptr. Boting minimaly 16 hours a day m i lucky or what?
