I can tell you right now what did HB in. It's the idiots that run BGs with a full 10man team and then post videos on youtube for everyone to see. How stupid is that? Hey I am doing something I am not supposed to so I am going to make video evidence. Retarded. That was back in WoD prior to the ban waves that I saw this. It caught the attention of alot of PvPers and you know how whiny PvPers are. So they pitched their tantrum and Blizz listened. Ever since then and the lawsuit it's been all out war on HB. I find it entertaining myself. I still casual bot just cause I say POWER TO THE PEOPLE!

Opinions are like @#@ everyone has one and all are full of crap.

This is a matter of annoyance (Casual botters) vs economy changes (farmers).

I believe, to Blizzard the economy is far more important than the generally annoyance and that is reinforced by the language of the ban/suspension which specifically states affecting the economy of the game. And the annoyance is less today than it was at the begging of botting with the killing to level.

But it's really a crap shoot to say which is which in terms of most important but I come down on farmers side more.

I can vouch for this as well. Lvling 1-110 and no ban. currently 101 and its been running almost 24/7.

Yes they follow money but they target bots and botting so....no....you are as big a target as anyone else. Their aim is always to detect the bots and during a detection all are banned no matter what you doing lvlg or farming. They still investigate reports and still ban based on this also but their focus you can be sure is being able to detect any and all bots with HB being a big priority.

So don't allow yourself to be too comfortable!!

Did he tell you about how HB was detected and when they plan to launch the next detection? Seems maybe you may have wasted a great opportunity to ask about what limitations they have or possibly if the GM knew of any holes they had that we could use and never get banned. Hey wait how about asking how we can get accounts unbanned 100% of the time.

Sorry, guess you can tell I am not buying the whole GM spilling the beans of stuff thing. It's really hard to get to GMs now. I mean really really hard and it's unthinkable that they would sit there and tell you anything at all that valuable let alone give you tips on how to protect your account.

As I and others have said just using the same IP does not get you banned. They look at a plethora of data and it's when all the cards align do you get the hammer dropped on you. I personally have botted while playing my main and got my bot suspended and the main was left alone. This was a banwave time. So I can say with 100% certainty just the IP address alone won't get you banned. Not even the IP address and Mac address and name of your first born.

The last time I spoke with a GM was maybe 3 years ago now. Not sure but it's generally not a long conversation. More like F you and goodbye. In the early days yes, I can say I have had 4 and 5 email exchanges with a GM when I was able to unban accounts but the game has changed a lot since then.

As i said, i just typed down what the person said to me nothing more. He said he cant tell me more then this blabla. Im not here to be the "iknoweverythingguy" , im just here to bot and have fun. I hardly open my mouth here since i know i will be flamed by ppl who think they know everything

im curious my self i mainly used the bot for farming mounts and lvlving 16 lvl 100, 5 lvl 110 char tons of shit and gold 249 mounts including miirion head most of tcg card. it wont let me view my char what will be removed from my account does anyone know. aeonaxx tlpd ect...any feed back would be great

all of ur mounts achievements heirlooms and such other things universally available to all of your characters will always be attached to the Bnet account,not the particular WoW 1 or WoW2 ect accounts... anything on a particular character tho, if banned, will be removed such as gold, items they deemed were obtained by exploitative behaviors or anything u may have obtained with the help of the bot on that specific toon only... all your pets,mounts, chieves and stuff are all safe so no worries there mate, if you made a fresh account with expac all of those things are still available to you, as well as any achievments that are account wide, for example my fresh 110 is able to go right into CoS and Arcway as well as the new Karazhan because one of my suspended toons had already done all of the rep grind and everything. So your fine...if you made a completely new battle.net account tho using a new email address you would lose everything and start completely fresh as tho it was ur first timr ever playing wow. Hope that answers ur question

You all are forgetting the BIG picture here as to why blizz is doing these back to back ban waves....the new changes to the WoW tokens are a HUUUGE risk for blizzard if they don't start banning botters asap...The changes to the WoW token are that WoW tokens can now be redeemed for Bnet balance currency as well as a Monthly sub fee....If they let botting continue then they are basically giving their product away....I personally am completely done with botting as I am now at WoW account #12 and cannot afford to keep dumping money into this game.....altho if anyone just recently purchased a WoW legion expansion from a store like Wal mart or Target...What I did was I went in and said exactly this to them " Hey I just bought this game a week ago and finally got around to install and start playing, but when I went to put the game key in the website said it had already been activated? (I said it like I was clueless as to why this could be so) I contacted the company and they told me that I should bring the game back to the store to exchange it for another copy and to make sure it didn't look like it had been opened" showed thm my receipt and KABOOM got a different copy of WoW Legion and I am happily playing WoW once again and never spent a single dime on buying the newexpac....so to anyone who wants to bot multiple accounts...dpending on the store and your location you MIGHT be able to get away with this particular excuse multiple times "In other words use the key, lie to the store and tell them the previous story, (even tho its still active, and youll most likely walk out of the store with a fresh copy of the game never spending a single dime" or you could always go to the electronics dept open the game up and snap a quick picture of the cd key like I used to do alllllll the time at Walmart...Ive gotten soo many battlechest keys from doing that shit its not funny hahaha.

I can confirm that this is false and is not in anyway whats going on, as my main account was banned because I forgot to turn off the botwhile switching accounts...I was logged into my mian account for maybe all of 5 minutes doing some item/gold xfers and realized the bot was still attached to that particular wow id, and said shiiit and shut down the bot...I did this on a Thursday evening and 3 hours before realm restarts on Tuesday my main account was banned and I never technically clicked start on the bot or anything...the simple fact that the bot was attached to that instance of wow and I switched over to my main account on that instance of wow flagged my main account with botting, even tho I never used the bot for anything whatsoever on that account....they are simply scanning your memory to see if anything is running alongside any instance of WoW running on your computer....most likely they have some REAL nifty software that logs every single users memory in a database, and using an algorithm that checks for thirdparty programs (which they probably have a list of all the current bots on the markets .exe names when they arte attached to wow in memory) that scans for those names and instantly flags that particular account as botting.......it doesn't matter whatsoever if you did ANYTHING with the bot at all on your account, doesn't matter what profile you used, doesn't matter that u were just leveling with the bot....the simple fact that the bot was attached to your WoW instance (The current window that WoW is loaded on) is allll they need to ban your account....keep this in mind because now I know for sure that blizzard is for certain scanning memory of each subscriber that logs into their servers and checks for third party programs. I didn't get banned right away either...so that tells me they did their initial scan, went back through the data of flagged accounts and then the day before realm restarts most likely put the ban hammer on everyone who was flagged....its no coincidence that everyone got banned on the same day....think about it.

I have no clue in hell how they ban your main account because either I am lucky as hell or somehow they got you another way. They don't ban on IP alone this has been proven gazzilions of times and the whole IP banning was debunked from back in Glider days. IPs are only a piece in the banning tool box. They have a lot of tools.

So I would reanalyze your steps to see if something else played into it. Unbanning the account would be easy for me at least because if the account was never botted the account itself proves its clean.

I don't want to say too much as to how I keep my accounts separated as who knows who is reading this forum but I manage to have one toon providing financial support to the other. I don't bot for profit anymore as I don't have time or resources to do it. Plus the cat and mouse game is far more complicated than back in the day when I did do some profit making. I believe all in I have made about $10,000 to $15,000 from selling gold but none of this in the past 3 or 4 years. This happened over about 2yrs with Glider and other bots when gold prices were better.

Ok stop the finger pointing if anything common sense would say they are hitting gold farmers due to all the bann reports. I have posted in the past that i thought people running 10 plus accounts farming the shit out of specific areas were the downfall of the botting community. Reason is the casual users that want to just get the grinding shit out of the way so we can enjoy the bigger part of wow and not be subject to the slow grinding crap out there but with bots farming all areas of the current xpack how do you think even real users would handle this. they would be upset hence why i think gold farmers or bg farmers ruined this bot not the cr users who used only during raids but controlled movement.

But take it for what it is amusement, its all just funny to me reading through all the posts people trying to figure out how they are detecting bots and such. If bossland can not figure it out most of the time what make you think that you can?

You can run all the tests "experiments" you want but unless you have some inside knowledge into blizz you are prob never going to figure it out. Here is the only things that i have learned from botting and reading the forums. IP bans don't happen i thought for some time that they did but nope its a myth. Ban waves are so random that it is impossible to know when they next one is going to happen. They dont just get everyone in one day they catch people over a period of time then mass ban so as to prevent people from being able to pin point when a scan or detection happened (unless you were reported hence the random bans here and there).

But this again is just my opinion as i dont bot anymore and have not for some time (since the first big ban in wod) but i like to keep up with it for the amusement and the economy in game.
