Saw this post on d3 forums so im postin it here
Introduction (skip to third paragraph if you wish):
I am making this post because, in my opinion, this game does very little to revolve around in-game skill, and much more to revolve around how well you can make gold and invest in end-game gear. Call it exploitation/cheating or whatever you want, but I believe that everyone should be, at the very least, aware of how to make gold and eventually enjoy the latter end of inferno without becoming bored/frustrated.
This is the period of time where auction house players make tons for little to no actual game time. Before 1.0.3 came out I saw a post speculating that there will be an IAS nerf. I had not played DH at the time so I didn't know that IAS was valuable. However, I was smart enough to understand that not all players at the time read up on Diablo 3 news. So I decided to stock up on IAS items, and sell them before this news spread and the patch notes went public. As a result I ended up tripling my gold in a matter of days. From there, and post 1.0.3 I continued to "play the AH game" buying low, selling high on items that not everyone might realize the value of (ie. a wand with low-ish dps but AP on crit or an amulet with a CC/CD/MF combo etc). I also made close to 40m a day before the 6 prop glove market became saturated.

I am posting because I want everyone to be aware that there is currently a market for fiery brimstones right now and you shouldn't miss out on the opportunity to invest. This means not just buying brimstones themselves, but also looking for iLVL60+ legendaries on the AH that people are listing for below the market price of brimstones. Simply salvaging these items and hoarding up brimstones will, in my experience and opinion, result in a massive profit when 1.0.4 releases and there will be a demand for crafting new legendaries with buffed stats. Because Blizzard has only buffed legendaries, but has not changed drop rates whatsoever, you will not really have to worry about there being an oversupply of brimstones until well into 1.0.4 when people will craft many of them at a time and salvage the ones without preferable stats. But you must realize that ones rolled without preferable stats can be reused to re-craft:
Craft a legendary -> it sucks -> salvage it and get a brimstone back. The dusts, tomes, and tears are actually consumed in the process but the brimstones may not be (depending on what the plan requires)
This is an extremely safe investment for the time being which is why I am recommending it to all of you out there. In fact, I've bought out about 1500 brimstones over the course of the first few weeks of 1.0.3 for below 90k when I realized that there will, undoubtedly, be a legendary buff in the future and their value has already increased by 400%. Now is the time to invest and save up for 1.0.4 and this is one of the many ways to do so.
