Any Point to buying SoR accounts anymore?

Well, doesn't really matter now, some other CS decided to contact me with,

We have determined that the World of Warcraft account [REMOVED] has been associated to a Battle.net Account accessed by someone not authorized to do so by the Terms of Use http://www.blizzard.com/us/legal/tou.html).

This means that your name on the Battle.net Account did not match the name that was registered to the World of Warcraft account.

We will ONLY return the account to the original registered owner once they contact us and supply the below information

Now, that clearly shows they only want Original Owners information, not the current battle.net.
 
I have done the same to mine but blizzard wants the ID from the original owner so it doesnt work :(

Just put the SoR account in your real name when you merge them, and you will be good. Had this happen to 4 of my most recent SoR accounts. They were locked within 72 hours, I just sent them their form with the copy of my real DL, and all 4 were unlocked the next day.

I have managed to get 3 of 4 accounts back by stating that I used a fake name on the original account :)

Yeah, Im using that card now, in my case, doubt it will work :P

Didn't work, their just going on with the same crap, if its not in your name, we cant help, blah blah blah XD

hopefully in some months, hb will deliver a full working bot again
 
Well I am sorry for your loss. It did work for me on my 4 accounts, I have no reason to lie. I simply replied right away with the forms and my ID. I knew they would ask because I have dealt with it before.
 
Yeah true, it's cool, never implied you were lying, I know how Blizzard works, It's all about getting that one customer support person :P
 
same things happend to me hopefully i can get all 4 back lol all pretty fresh MOP upgrades too fml haha

So you merged accounts that weren't in your name to bnets that were, and then sent your dl when they locked it and they unlocked it? So far you're the only person who has said that worked for them. I'll give it a try if that's what you're saying you did.
 
Did a SOR purchase 3 days ago, currently on 87 (hand leveled less than 7 or so hours per day). I bought the SOR, made my toon, paid char transfer onto my main account and its still going strong.

Should I expect a ban soon..?

Haven't heard of anything related to this so I assume there haven't been any bans. At worst you're looking at a refunded rollback, but I even doubt that. Looks like you're good.
 
That's good then, I just can't be arsed to level 1-90 by hand again.

I never have to worry about the SOR account now as the 10 days free game time will just expire. I do have one prediction, should I raise a ticket or call customer servcies about a seperate issue then if asked about the random account name on my account then I would be caught short of an answer. So for now I'll keep my mouth shut and head down. I won't bot on him reading the above though.
 
i have a strong feeling that first 24-48 hours are too critical and have a high chance of getting banned.
6/8 have been in banned in 24 (mostly)- 36 hours.
 
do they ban the whole bnet account or just the wow account ? also how can i view the original name on the account ?
 
ok this is what i did. merged the sor with a dummy account in my wifes name. made another account and purchased the expansions and did a account transfer. hope that fixes that

Actually, the most SoR acccounts are getting locked for owner verification, not banned. And this should not interfere with all other wow licenses in your battle.net
 
Where do I send my ID and filled account verification form to unlock banned sor account?
