Hater? I kind of agree with him. The guys here are going to want to keep this train rolling as long as they can for every penny they can squeeze out. Any excuses or story that helps them do that will be told.

I am actually more surprised at the fact of how many guys are saying its fine, and better luck next time. There is a difference between knowing full well botting is a risk to get banned, versus this...
either you wait for being able to continue bot or you're one of those poor mommy's son who was stupid enough to run hb on their main account and now crying and whining looking for a guilty and pointing to everyone around you

You sound like someone that would be fine with tripwire being removed and having 0 protection :)

dear devs pls do your best this time to higly secure this insane bot crpyted it hide it in your pants somewhere else dunno BUT SAFE US FFS

I really hope my comment doesn't get lost but I recently purchased the 3 session key, I was wondering if honorbuddy doesn't get back on it's feet is it possible to ask for a refund or must I do it within a certain amount of time?

@HB crew

I wonder, is this your honest consensus of what happened or just damage control at this point? I mean, how many banwaves can you sweep under the rug until your clientele will realise that Blizzard de facto, colourfully speaking, 'got you by the balls' and no matter what counter-measures, failed or not, Blizzard will do whatever they please. If this is an attempt at restoring Honorbuddy's credibility, i'll tell you i'm not convinced and i'm sure many more aren't convinced. At this point a better formulation would be: "On behalf of the HonorBuddy team we sincerely regret the recent event (bla bla bla)...We still have no idea what is going on....but as usual botting with our product is unsafe until further notice, use at your own risk".

Hi, Jaylul,
Obviously, Bossland is in the process of restoring Honorbuddy to full operating status.

Regarding a refund, the question is answered in full in this article:

cheers,

Hi, Darboux,

No, this is not spin. This is what it looks like when a company is forthright and honest—as Bossland has always been.

Nevertheless, there are those that are incapable of seeing anything but dark clouds. Those people, we cannot help, and no explanation will be satisfactory in their eyes.

The announcement is quite clear and honest about the current state of affairs, and about Bossland's plan to move forward.

chers,
chinajade

I will continue to bot not only because I love you guys but I really really suck at the game without the bot

I have been a software developer for nearly three decades now and shit like this just happens. And yes, I didn't want to lose my main account for another 18 months. It even hinders my development as re-leveling does take time. But I don't complain and I will stick around for sure.
Let's just hope that this loophole really is what caused the banwave. If anything different is the reason for the detection, then we are in a deep hole so it is actually good news they found something that could be fixed and that could be the reason. Time to start releveling!

I know your pain my brother my main got 18 months also had it since vanilla but my heart will always be with hb !!!!

I've got to say, this is genuinely hard to believe for anyone with experience in this domain. I don't think most people will appreciate what a staggering level of incompetence is required for a mission critical service to be down for a month without anyone realising. Look I know mistakes happen, but there are so many technologies out there for making sure services are up and running and doing their job, the fact you had to trawl through the server logs to determine if something as important as the tripwire was working is simply bewildering. I suspect my post will be deleted or reported as spam but I really hope you think long and hard about how this could have happened and how to avoid a repeat mistake. For most companies this would be game over.
