Hiho!

fx 6100 ,8150 or i5,i7?

which one is better to make more bots ?

Bulldozer have "8" cores but I saw that it's only 4 "real" cores but 8 modules and 8 threads whose didnt work on d3 like i7.
i5 have 4c/4t, fx 6100 6c/6t.

So the best option to buy optimal processor for botting are fx 8150?

i7 and i5 its probably the same to botting. Cheap fx 6100 is better to bot ?

and second question is about graphic card.
ram on card is important ? to run more than 8 bots = graphic card must have more than 1gb ? I saw a cheap card like gt 630 with 2-4gb , but better for ex. are gtx 650 with 1 gb ram but it will handle it ?

thanks for help !

Depends on how many you have currently, how many you plan to run, whats your budget, if you will use the computer for other things, etc.

And for 24/7 botting, AMD chips use a lot more power especially when they are overclocked, so keep that in mind.

AMD is cheaper so I just go with that, but as stated above if electricity is very expensive in your area it might significantly cut into your profits. Personally I just bought a solar panel to fund my botting operation so it pays for itself. Anyways, video RAM isn't too important but system RAM is... think 2GB per bot. You can squeeze out a bonus bot every 6GB or so

VRAM is important. Using a GTX560 Ti, After running 7 bots, I start getting artifacts, graphics issues on browsers (making me resize it a lot to make it go away), and you get lower frame rates because the mobo will dip into system memory, which is way slower.

Ordered a GTX670 2GB (debated the GTX660 Ti 3GB), so there's more headroom on VRAM and then GPU usage also.

_ Can i7 with 4 cores / 8 threads handle more bo ts than i5 with 4 cores / 4 threads? ( no OC, nearly the same Speed ) i heard somewhere they say more threads = more client / process :)

technically yes..

Not enough to matter.

what about fx 6100?? it have 6 cores so it should handle more bots than i5 and i7 and its more more cheaper.... what do you think?

its not about bulldozer anymore, i think the new cpu's are Pile-driver. so definitely go with that since it gives added benefits.

Well the stronger amd processor atm is the server based opteron 6272 (16 cores 2.1ghz) and it runs slowers then xeon e5 2620.

The xeon e5 itself runs slower then the i7 2600k/2700k or 3770k.(stock)

and from the i5 3570 and i7 3770k theres a BIG difference talking about multi-task and cpu power. At stock it will be 30% faster then the i5 and can oc better.

AMD FX-8350 Eight-Core, can be compared to the i7 3770k, but not when on oc. Intel will rape amd on oc now on.

passmark

Intel Core i7-3770K @ 3.50GHz 9,628 (stock w/o turbo)
AMD FX-8150 Eight-Core 7,782

btw the i7 can get easily to 5ghz under a h100 or a xspc water...

so I will run more bots on i7 than fx 8150 in 100%??

Yes. AMD cores are worse than Intel's due to their architecture.

In single threaded applications, fx 8150 lost out to a Phenom II X6 in some benchmarks.

I think the best option are:
Buying i7 3770 is a bit waste of money , xeon is similaire and you can buy additionally disc ssd on this price !
XEON E3-1230v2 is much cheaper than i7 and give similaire power by only 69 W !

I think XEON E3-1230v2 is perfect for botting and with 32 gb ram 1600 mhz and card like gtx 660 2gb should run more than 10 bots easily !

What do you think ?

You cannot overclock the Xeon E3-1230v2 but you can overclock the i7-3770k: ASUS P8Z77-v Premium TPM - where do I get it? - Asus - Motherboards-Memory

It's difficult to get a Xeon compatible motherboard.

if you build a computer ONLY for botting. take e3-1230v2. and ASUS P8Z77-V LK.
as i know, it is the standard cpu for the pro farmers' workstation in china.

awesome, i think i'll take your advice and buy that cpu. Good thread
