Greetings,

Due to an unusual change in your access pattern, the Battle.net account [email protected] has been locked. This can be caused by logging in from a new location, but it may also signal an attempt to compromise your account.

If you have registered for Battle.net SMS Protect, you can unlock your account by selecting "Can't log in," then selecting "I'm currently locked out of my account," and following the steps provided. If you have not registered for Battle.net SMS Protect, or if you feel that your account's security is at risk, please follow the steps below.

Step 1: Secure Your Computer

Ensure that your computer is free from any malicious programs, as a password change alone may not deter future attacks. Visit our Account Security website to learn how to protect your computer from unauthorized access.

Step 2: Secure Your Email Account

Choose a new password for your email account and review your email for any filters or rules you did not create. For more information on securing your email account, visit our Account and Computer Security page.

Step 3: Choose a New Password

Change your password to resume using this Battle.net account, as your former password no longer grants access to any login-protected Battle.net account service or game. Visit our Password Reset page to begin the password change process.

Once you?ve regained access to your account, you can add additional security with Battle.net SMS Protect, a free service that allows you to unlock your Battle.net account on your own with a few simple steps. For more information, see the SMS Protect FAQ

Did anyone else get this?

Normally if i unplug my router or re-do my OS I get the message in-game, but it lets me use my security Question in-game to unlock the account.

This one wanted me to answer it on the website, and then go to my email to confirm.

What I find weird/odd is...

How did I login to world of warcraft.... and not have this issue, and then check my mail.
then login to D3 and get this message... yet Blizzard didn't disconnect me from wow, and i got 3 email about account being locked, and then I continue to do auctions in wow, and then i killed 7 more mobs to finish me to get to the next lvl.. then i log out and log back in... account locked.. ok so then i unlock my account....

Log back in... all those changes that i did/made while my account was locked... should have been blocked right??
everything i did while my account was suppose to be locked all took effect...

so wtf is the point of locking an account if people can just hack it.. then stay logged in and make changes...
makes no sense to me...

I was also wondering.
Can the mods/admins of this website see peoples usernames/passwords?
or just the owner of the site? or not even him?

was just curious.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Goddamnit Cone you better not quit! I can't lose any more intelligent people on here! :(

Be careful how you go about trying to get these accounts back. I had this happen a while ago and "upon further investigation" they noticed my bots for that pc.

Good luck bro.

I have had this problem before. I accessed bnet from my phone and it locked me since it was a different ip. Had to log into the site and answer my security question. Never had a problem with it.

reinstalled windows - locking accs dissapiar

this happens to quite alot of peeps right now. http://www.thebuddyforum.com/demonb...-reboot-pc-reboot-router-solution-needed.html

im not sure whats the cause of it, i switched from vms to one os and it started at that point. quite annoying.

Yes we all know that if you change your IP or redo your OS
the servers auto detect that.. its nothing new, even if you run compatibility for windows XP the lock can trigger.

My guess of what happened is, someone went to wow/d3 websites/forums, looked up our usernames , decided to look us up on facebook ect to find our emails, and decided to lock our accounts so he can delay our sales/flipping
not sure how many times he/she is going to attempt/do/try this, My suggestion is if your account gets locked for any reason besides the things listed above... get your username and email changed.

dude call them and tell them that it shall be locked up again , they will manually reset youre password and it will be open , they only lock it because soemone said its not the owner that is on it or something like that happend too me ones.. never again xD

nah. Usually you can enter teh secret question when changing os ip-range etc. And i could do tihs when i switched. Right now everytime my ip changes or i restart the pc all accounts will get locked up without the option to answer the question. If someone looked up emails the locks would not sync with ip changes but would occour at a random time. also none of my botting emails are used publicly so other then getting hacked, which im not, theres zero chance someone looked those up. Its a bug just like the rmah sms protection from time to time.
