With everything going on recently I thought I'd just put my two cents out here too. First of all, I do want to thank you Bossland and everyone who contributed to HB and making it such a great bot! Like many others, it renewed life back into WoW for me. And for that I thank you, regardless of what happens next.
Now! Onto what I personally would LOVE to see in the rebirth of HB.
1. 64-bit HB, let's be honest here - sure nobody knows exactly how or why Blizzard caught us (though everyone has their own ideas on it) but the truth of the matter is - it doesn't matter who thinks what, what does matter is we figure out how they actually caught us and learn from it and move on. PERSONALLY I believe that not being on 64-bit was a big red flag, it has nothing to do about performance or this or that. Who uses 32-bit anymore? Honestly does ANYONE? Any pc built in the past 5 years uses 64 bit. Hell right this second you can get a 64-bit w7 pc for LESS THAN $100 from big known companies (Walmart/Kmart/ect/ect) I know they're not that good... but... that right there just defeats the "Blah blah I have to buy a new pc" argument. This just all goes down to: staying under the radar. I don't have actual stats to prove this but I would be SHOCKED if more than 10% of the pop used 32-bit client. The whole "it would take too much time to have 32 and 64 bit hb argument I feel is invalid. Why? THERE IS NO NEED FOR 32 BIT! Steam Hardware & Software Survey steam survey showing %s of 32 and 64 bit OS's 64-bit users are at over 90% while 32 bit is at 10% and dropping. Tldr: don't make 32-bit hb anymore, just go to 64-bit. 32 is out of date. Let's just accept it and move on.
2. Afking bgs - I see posts time and time again about it but I really think the point needs to be addressed: >>>>>>>YOU NEED TO UPDATE YOUR BG BOT BASES!<<<<<<<<< Botting is about staying under the radar - but it's pretty hard to do that when you go into a wsg or ab and see 60% of your team running together as a bot train. Maybe even *NOOB AT CODING MIGHT NOT BE POSSIBLE* BUT have the bots talk to each other so that if they're in the same bg they will NEVER take the same path? Just an idea.
3. I'd LOVE to see a easier way to make scripts for things. BUILT INTO HB. Other no named competitors do this and I must say - I'd love to see it in hb too. You literally have everything pre-scripted for you. You just drag and drop what you want to do. Example: you need to make a script to go talk to this daily quest giver, pick up the quest and go collect six pieces of turtle meat... With the new system in place, you would just need to stand next to the quest giver, target him, and drag and drop the pre-made code to have the bot do what you want to do. *I'M NOT SURE IF WE ALREADY HAVE SOMETHING IN PLACE TO DO THIS ALREADY ON THE STORE* however - it could be built into hb and made EASIER to use for new people, I'm a vet at HB but a noob at coding.
4. Better store system, I'm not a millionaire! YES quality profile makers NEED to get paid - I agree 100% but there needs to be a better system in place to make sure people aren't selling 5 lines of code someone copy/pasted on a free profile for $100. Blah blah, yes you can get refunds if the profile turns out to be bad. But still.. I feel that my point is valid. There also just needs to be a different system in place - maybe a sub based ALTERNATIVE to of which if you are subbed you have access to whatever is on the store? Or you can have the sub system with a subscribe button to addons you want up to a max of say a certain point per month or something, just an idea!
Other than that I love HB and the community, I hope you come back from this and I will be supporting you if and when you do. If anyone else wants to do add anything they would like to see in the new HB feel free to post it.
