05/13/2015 - 6 Month Ban wave

Cannot decide if worse or best day ever. I didn't really like playing wow anymore, I just sorta did it because I have friends that raid. Did daily garrison stuff in order to use gold to pay for wow time. I hear witcher 3 has a 100+ hours of game play. Think it's time to go on to better games.
 
My old "main" account got smacked. I guess it's time to go see some of that "outside" you guys are always talking about on patch days. :rolleyes:

This is it for me and playing (or paying for and botting) Blizzard games.

And FWIW, I used Enyo about 6.5 hours per week with TuanHA, plus occasional GarrisonBuddy. Been botting since 2011, this is my second ban (first was on a throw-away account).

EDIT: I was not online for the tripwire event.

This is really strange.
Usually when getting banned from botting, the email always say something about third party software, but this time i got this:
Account Action: 6-Month Suspension

Offense: Exploitation of game mechanics

Recent activity on this account has shown characters exploiting functionality to the detriment of the game environment or the intended player experience.

And usually when you're getting banned for botting, you recieve a 72 hour ban or perm ban, never seen a 6 months ban before.
 
I have been botting since WoD was released, three toons 90-100 with kicks and one toon 1-100. Been using Enyos with a custom CR up until 1 month ago and new garrison bot. Did not get hit by the tripwire.

No ban.
 
Received a 6-month ban on 2 accounts I'm running currently. One account was reactivated the near the end of April. The other has been active for a few years.
 
I've not logged on or played (or botted - lets face it if we're posting here we botted) for months - rec'd the email and 6 month ban so in my guess wow accounts have been scanned for some trigger in the accounts history. Or maybe people playing on 32 bit been checked.
 
When was the tripwire thing? cuz I didn't enter my character today and also got 6month banned
 
I just got banned on 3 accounts.... Read the whole forums they got a ddos, They released the 1st quarter before the ban wave... They pissed off a lot of people and are going to loose so much. I got banned for botting 1 garrison 2 grinding.
 
I also received the same ban on main vanilla account. Only used Enyo+ Crs in bgs and arena. Havent used kicks or other leveling profiles for quite a few months.

Some interesting info:
* I have not actually logged into WOW in about 3 weeks though, maybe more. So this looks like an old "detection" that they only got around to actioning now as part of this "banwave"
* I was not online during the tripwire event.
* Cancelled my wow sub very very recently. (before the ban)
 
used for leveling some alts, 10 year account - 6month ban fuck blizz and their dreadful lvling grind anyway. probably done after this ban wave gives me a reason to quit now
 
It looks like this has been a long going "investigation" from blizzard. It isn't a single "tripwire" event or anything. I haven't used a bot since I leveled in WoD. They must have been tracking it for some time now. Live and let live.. I guess blizz will lose money and we will have to find a new hobby.
 
Hit me with a 6 month suspension today as well. Was fishing in garrison using questbot last night.
(Paid with WoW Token this month and in my appeal I demanded a new one once my suspension is lifted lol)

6month on me as well, only was using HB for combat in raids. LFR too which is the sad part. I just didn't want to have to sit there healing dumbasses who can't get out of the fire for 10 minutes straight.

Only hit my account that was used with the WoW token.

Sent in a ticket hoping that they'll at least lower it to 72 hours like they always have with botting offenses. Weird that they're labeling it as an exploit.
 
Lmao bruh just wow, so they killed their own subscriber base ? kkk. 6 mo suspension ? pfft time to uninstall it was a good run.
