400% roi in 2 weeks is abit far fetched ... Taken 2 weeks to get cost of game back. You factoring in things like electric in your generous calculations?
im not sure how you'd expect to calculate electricity on 2 computers that run reguardless of bots or not. its a difference of maybe $20-30 a month id guess max as its always around $150-200 for my house. either way thats nothing when dealing in hundreds.
here's my basic breakdown (believe it or not is up to you).
16x d3 via newegg ($35) = $560
db keys i dont count in running cost as they get reused same as computer.
so $560 + ($30 / 2 half month of elec = $15) = $575.00 USD.
I leveled dec 26-28 16x to lvl 60 and spent around 20m on twink gear (20x 0.18 = $3.60) + 575 = 578.60
lvl 60 farm gear was 35m~ per client 16x35m = 560m x 0.18 = $100.80 + 578.60 = 679.40
at this point in time i have grossed $2,013 (i keep running total). i have 18 rmah auctions still up at around $ 500 total assuming that sells at 50% it is $2,263. i have mules filled with 500k-1m items and i have 3.1b gold still liquid for pvp patch. 3.1b gold @ 0.18 is $558.00 + 2263.00 is $2,821.00.
i still have 16 sets of mf gear that i muled after hitting mf cap with paragon so all that money is saved. $50~ ish but we wont even count that.
2 accounts didnt get banned but we will assume they did thats another $70.00 but dont count that.
and assuming i sell the 3+bil gold @ 0.25 and it not go up or not flip items.
and we wont count all the junk 500k-1m items on mules that will gear the next set.
so... $2,821.00 - $679.00 is $2,142.00 pure profit in 2 weeks on 16 clients.
dec 29 - jan 8 was 11 days of botting for a gross of $16.00 per day per bot or $12.00 per bot net profit per day.
my tracking seems legit to me, and the math looks right to me. did i miss something?
cause from my point of view all the naysayers are either doing it wrong or want to spread misinformation.
i run good bots with good settings. all run at 10+ tps and 14-15+ fps steady with very little lag. i wanted to run more on each machine but the performance hurts productivity. i asked a lot of questions about how to maximize usage and finally just settled for running them the way i do. i didnt make money with dumb 5 tps bots even if i ran 50% more, it just caused more work.
i auction twice a day every day and know prices of items. i think this is 1 of the most important steps.
so i think my generous calculations are fairly accurate or are they not? ive done it 3 times now with the same numbers every time. and since we are counting pennies, i only got to run 11 days and not the full 14 (2 weeks).
next setup im looking at 2 more i7 3770k's to push 12 per for a total of 40. i guess power would come into play somewhat at that point but i still think it will be very minimal.
most people wouldnt even post this info, but the guy a month ago that posted some info on the 100+ farm inspired me to go bigger. he went mass bots with lower output and productivity but made up with shear bulk. i went the other way and seems it works out also.
p.s. id pay double cost of db keys if they could give me a month again =x.
