[Official] Banwave December 18th and Demonbuddy Auth disabled

Back in the day when i played WoW and would get banned using HB, it sucked a lot more than getting banned on d3. You had to buy allll the fkin expansions again. If the next d3 patch is cool i'll buy another copy, but i really dont see myself playing again untill PvP comes out because all this game is good for now is waking up after a night of botting to a stash full of items.

As of now, this looks like a server side detection of a behaviour pattern. Both the EU and US Official Diablo 3 forums are full of angry banned players. In our experience botters take their bans and move on without grumbling. We think perhaps the server side algorithm hit a lot of innocents as well.

In the interests of safety, we have disabled Demonbuddy auth and are going to review our options tomorrow.

Just hoping for an update... honestly don't feel like filtering through 21 pages on here to find something that could've been edited into the original post lol (if there is anything).

theres no update. I don't see how the db team can counter this since the other bots on the market got hit too. they say Its server side, which they have no idea what caused this then. It could be a number of possibilities, which would prob require new scripts, new everything. But i'm no programmer, just an old fashion country man

lol yeah, shit sucked man. It also took a lot longer than 1 day to get your bot back up and on it's feet too! D3 is most definitely where it's at. Don't have to find 3rd party buyers for gold, don't have to buy all the expansions, and don't have to pay a monthly subscription :).

My guess is it is server side. If it was client based detection, it would've red flagged a long time ago and they would've told us. At this point they're probably just checking their list over and over and over again -- like Santa Clause :D.

alot less anger going on tho, it seems this banwave has brought the community together. Ppl before were bashing the db dev's (and hey maybe i took a shot at it once in awhile) but now ppl are saying ," i just wanted to say, i appreciate all you devs" like this is the end and we all acquired super aids and don't have much time
 
db is detected ... dont know how people still think its not ... 99% of db users are banned -.- rest 1% are flagged and will be banned anway in the future ... investigation takes some time

Well i Got banned.... and i hadn't been playing for a few days. I did the ticket thing 2 times now the first they would not give me a reason. Did it again. Still waiting again. Not like i can afford to go out and buy a bunch of copies of D3. Plus another demon buddy code. Kinda sux....

That's just their generic disclaimer for what Warden does.... Warden has not been updated nor is it a threat at this point in time.. So you can pretty much just toss it in the garbage with the rest of their TOS... Additionally from what I have heard is Warden violations are pretty much an insta ban and dont wait around for waves.. But I could be wrong there..
 
Im not sure if this has been stated much before but I think a lot of this has been brought on by the pirated copy of DB floating around. I sell a lot of gold to quite a few guys who were not willing to purchase the software for more than 1 or 2 accounts but then expanded big time after that hacked copy got released.

Another reason why DB team should lock down downloadable content to accounts with registered keys only. Open forum is fine, but why have downloads freely open too someone that doesn't have a valid key attached to a forum account?
 
This detection was definitely not software based. 1/4 banned. Bot smarter.
