statement of Blizzard Gamemaster to ban

then learn about the 4th amendment. it's illegal for them to scan my computer to see what i'm running.

if you really believe that I have some land for sale, the patriot act killed that but anyways go get a lawyer and sue because you have proof right there they did scan it.

It's not illegal if it's in the terms and conditions. Many programs completely legal scan our computers and sends data to companies. For example, Anti-Virus companies (Norton specifically) holds a database on how many of their users have a specific program and how often it is used.

Now I believe the developers here aren't retarded and would not miss obviously code that scans our computers. Now if it's really well hidden or if the developers here got lazy then it's not our fault. But it's likely that there was a server side update that blacklisted accounts to be banned.

a constitutional amendment can not be changed by an act of congress. it is a two part process and the second part requires approval of 3/4 of the states.

If you don’t want to share that information with them you don’t have to it’s opt in/opt out sort of thing
But they can in no way force you to allow them to scan your computer

we ?r fcked...

I’m perfectly fine, I still have my 7 accounts I started when D3 first released and have not been targeted in anyway

But I’ve blacklisted the blizzard error report server from being able to make requests to send error reports or even send any type of error report to any company.

How did you do that? Can you shar info which db and profile do you use..
I lost all..;/ and I thinking about going back but in smarter way.
Could you help plix?

guys dont forget thay you allaow them to do that when your accepting the things before you can login...

I’ve always used the latest DB, and played it smart, I use profiles that’s on the forum, but Like I said I don’t stick to one profile for long periods of time like most actually do here

Sounds like YOU need to learn about the 4th amendment. It doesn't even come into play.

"""
Supreme Court ruled that a search occurs when 1) a person expects privacy in the thing searched and 2) society believes that expectation is reasonable.
"""

Look at #2
"society believes that expectation is reasonable."

I'm part of society and I'm telling you that based on the EULA I don't think privacy is a reasonable expectation if I choose to install Diablo. They TELL you in the EULA that it can scan memory. After reading that, how do you expect privacy?

and I'm a part of society and I'm telling YOU that it is NOT a reasonable expectation (see how that works?). Stop trying to "lawyer" him. Blizzard is not > United States Constitution. You shouldn't just google search shit and post out of context to try to win an argument. Get over yourself.

I bet you're the type of person that searches new words on thesaurus.com to try sounding smart too. Instead of sounding smart you end up looking like a dipshit when you copy paste the word without actually looking up its usage and definition.

u mad bro?
[1]You say: "and I'm a part of society and I'm telling YOU that it is NOT a reasonable expectation (see how that works?)"

This is agreeing with me. It is not a reasonable expectation. I suspect that you meant to be contrary and say privacy *IS* a reasonable expectation. That's where you'd be wrong. Read the EULA.

[2] I'm not trying to lawyer anyone. The supposed out of context """ paste """" is from wikipedia and is about when the 4th amendment and "Search" applies. Someone said that Bilzzard can't search memory because of the 4th amendment. In what way is this out of context?

PS. Which one of the words was too big for you? I'm re-reading my post trying to figure out what you had such a hard time with you assumed I went to a thesaurus. Was is the word society? expectation?

so you're telling me it is NOT REASONABLE for me to expect privacy on MY OWN FUCKING COMPUTER, while inside of MY OWN MOTHER FUCKING HOUSE

god some of you people are so god damn stupid. i try to be nice but god damn man.............

is this shit new?

I just gonna get a pc as a present, i was lurking here for monthes, and now i could be screwd?

Ill check how ban reports go, and decide to try botting thing :)

If you install software that explicitly tells you it scans memory for known 3rd party software and it does that AND you agree to that YOU CAN'T CALL IT UNREASONABLE.

stop being an american douche bag.

it is like the guy above me said, blizzard is not > the constitution of the united states

a eula is nothing in comparison, it can not violate the law and it sure as hell can not violate the constitution.

signed, proud american douche bag

cell phone companies, facebook / myspace / etc, and almost all other corporations with privy to your info dont care to break the rules when it comes to privacy so why would blizzard? at least blizzard isnt selling the information gathered for profit w/o care of those involved but instead defending itself.

they scan ram and directory for 3rd party software and nothing else to solely protect them , their game, and their community. i think that'd be pretty hard to beat.

we are losing more and more rights everyday, and from how little this 1 is in comparison to the others.... i dont think anyone in america would even care anymore or very few.

Just to point out you sign away your rights and basically say everything you do on Facebook is no longer PRIVATE information. They own what you write/post/share on your wall.

Blizzard has not been given permission to do any of that.
